Operating Instructions
GENERAL
Read and store the operating instructions
The operating instructions belong to the BLUFIXX-LED torch (hereafter referred to as “LED Lamp”). They contain
important information on operating the device.
Read the operating instructions carefully, particularly the safety instructions, before using the LED lamp. Nonobservance of these operating instructions can lead to severe injuries and damage to the LED lamp.
The operating instructions are based on the standards and rules valid in the European Union. Observe any country-
specific directives and laws in foreign countries.
Store the operating instructions for further use. When handing the LED lamp over to third parties, you must include
these operating instructions.

Intended use
The LED lamp is solely designed to cure BLUFIXX products.
Only use the LED lamp as described in these operating instructions. Any other use is considered unintended and
can lead to damage. The LED lamp is not a children’s toy.
The manufacturer or retailer assumes no liability for damage arising from unintended or improper use.

Warning! Optical radiation!
The LED lamp exceeds the limit values of the “free groups” as per EN 62471. Blue light with a
wavelength of 400 nm – 780 nm may pose a danger to the retina. Maintain the following
distances:
Exposure hazard value (EHV): 2.24 m
Hazard distance (HD): 1.97 m
At a hazard distance of 1.97 m the product falls into risk group 1.

Danger of injury!Improper handling of the LED lamp can lead to injuries● Therefore never stare into the LED lamp
or into the emitted ray during operation! Use an appropriate UV filter or protective eyewear as per CE-EN 166 to
prevent eye damage. Also avoid prolonged exposure of the skin or other tissue.● Always store the LED lamp out of
reach of children, and avoid using the lamp when children are present!● Never give the LED lamp to untrained
persons or children or allow these persons to be unsupervised.● Do not use the LED lamp near flammable or
combustible sources or materials.● Never subject the LED lamp to extremes of heat or cold, or to direct sunlight.
Keep the LED lamp away from heaters, ovens and other heat-generating devices.● Do not open the LED lamp and
do not insert objects into the apertures.● Never immerse the LED lamp in water or other liquids.● Do not attempt to
replace the LED. The LED cannot be replaced. If damaged, dispose of the LED lamp.

● Store both new and use batteries out of the reach of children.
● If you have reason to believe a battery has been ingested or otherwise penetrated the body, seek a doctor
immediately.
● Only touch expired batteries using gloves and dispose of them properly.
COMMISSIONING

The LED lamps can be operated using two AAA batteries. Unscrew the end cap to insert the batteries. Insert two
LR03 batteries with the plus poles pointing towards the head of the lamp. Re-assemble the LED lamp using the
screws.
Ensure correct polarity when inserting the batteries. If inserted the wrong way round, the batteries may potentially
destroy the lamp electronics! The plus pole of the battery must always point towards the LED.

Press the end cap switch all the way to turn it on and off.
