1- WELCOME
Congratulations on your purchase of the BLU mobile phone. Your phone provides many functions which are practical for daily use , such as a hands-free loudspeaker, camera, MP 3 player, internet and much more.
You can read the manual to understand how to use BLU Mobile phone and experience the well-establishe d functions and simple operation method. Please use the original accessory in order to achieve the best use of effects. Use of non-original components may lead to d amage cause d to the machinery, in which case BLU shall not be responsible. 3- GETTING STARTED
3.1. Insert SIM c ard
SP642 is a Dual SIM mobile phone allowing you to use the facility of two networks. Both sim have micro slot. To insert SIM card(s): Turn off the phone and use the ejector pin to remove the card slot. Insert the SIM card co rrectly in the card slot(s). (see below fig)

3.2. Insert Me mory card
SP642 allows you to expand external memory with a micro SD card, up to 64 GB. Turn off the phone and use the ejector pin to remove the card slot. Insert the memor y card into the slot.

3.3. Unlock the P hone
You may need to provide PIN, Password, Fingerprint or draw a pattern to unlock your phone. To unlock the screen:
Press the power key to wake up the phone. Hold and drag t he unlock icon to upside to unloc k.

To set the unlock method:
On the main menu, touch Se ttings > Security & Location. Touch set up screen lock. Choose the type of locking as desired. You can set your
screen lock on the basis o f pattern, PI N, Password, Fingerprint or none.
3.4. Using the Touch scree n
You can use the touch screen in the following ways: Touch: Acts on items on the screen, such as app lication and settings icons, to type letters and symbols usi ng the onsc reen keyboard, or to press onsc reen buttons. Touch and h old: Touch and hold an item on the screen unt il an action occu rs.

Swipe or slid e: Quickly slide your finger ac ross the surface of the screen, (without dragging an item). For example, slide the screen up or down to scroll a list, Pinch: In some applications (Such as Browser, and Gallery) you can zoom in and out by placing two fingers on the screen at once and pinching t hem together (to zoo m o ut) or spreading them apa rt (to zoom in).
Rotate the screen: On m ost s creens, the orientation of the screen changes as you rotate it. You can turn this feature ON and OFF.
3.5. Using the P hone’s Buttons
The phone’s buttons offer a lot of functions and shortcuts.
The phone provides you with Context menus and Options menus for accessing the features in an intuitive way.

When you touch and hold some items on a screen, an Options menu opens.

You can dial a phone number or touc h a number in yo ur contacts. You can also place from the call log or contacts.

the desired number. Touch t he icon on main menu or the home screen to
make a call from contact, g roups or favorites. To dial an international number, touch an d hold the 0 key to enter the Plus (+) symbol, and then enter the international country prefix, followed b y the phone number
Touch the icon to call with SIM 1 or SIM 2. Press the Volume Up / Down keys to adjust the call volume. You can access Call Logs, Contacts from t he dialer screen. While during a call, touch the icon to end a call.
4.2. Disable Pho ne Calls (Airp lane mode)
Some locatio ns like airplanes may require you to turn off your mobile, Wi-Fi, a nd Bluetooth wireless connections.
Touch the d rop down from the top to open th e status bar.. Touch the Airplane mode .
4.3. Disable SIM card
If you want to close the SIM card, go to :
SettingsNetwork & internet > SIM cards. > turn off SIM1/S IM2
5-THE HOME SCREEN
When you sign in , the home screen opens. The Home screen is your start ing point to access all the features on your phone.

The status bar shows the time, signal strength, battery status, and notification.

You have access to all applications installed on your device and their widgets w hen available. Touch an application to open a nd launch it. To add an application shortcut to another locati on, press and hold it until it enters t he desired locatio n. Place it and release your finger. Slide the Launche r left or right to bring more icons into view. As soon as you install a new application, it comes in this list.
Widgets come when you long press on the h ome screen. Y
You can touch WIDGETS directly. You cannot launch widget like an application; you can only place it on deskt op screen. Press and hold it until it ente rs Home screen. Place it and release your finger. A context menu opens to configure the widget or resize it, nat urally, it depends on the w idget.
5.2. Switch to Recently Used Ap plication
Press the icon for open recently used application. Touch an icon to open its application. Or press to return
to the current applicat ion.
5.3. Customize Home Screen
You can add applications, shortcuts, widgets, and other items to any part of the H ome screen or change the wallpape r. Widgets:
Long press on home screen for wi dgets. Drag a widget to a h ome screen: Touch and hold the
widget’s icon, slide yo ur finger where you want to place it , and
lift your finger. You may be asked to make further choices before the widget
activates. If there isn’t room where you d ropped it, th e widget won’t get added to t he Home Screen.
Wallpapers: Wallpapers a re images from Gallery, still images included with th e system. They take the place of the default background for your Ho me Screen.

not occupied. A list of options appears. Touch the following wallpaper source:
o Device folde rs: Choose from pictures that you’ve taken with
camera or downloaded to your device. To set wallpaper, touch right option then se lect Set wallpaper. Folders: You can very easily regroup desktop icons in a folder on screen to save space and access m ore applications.
Touch and hold any icon on desktop screen to move it. Go on another icon and releas e to create a folder c ontaining
both icons. Then add as many icons as folder can hold, give it a name, move it where you want. You have all the tools to customize your Phone.
6-CONNECT TO THE INT ERNET
6.1. To configure your Interne t:
Go t o Settings > Network & internet > Data us age >Turn on
Mobile data’
By default, your network provider sends the Acces s Po int Name settings via SMS, or it c omes automatically with your SIM card. You may need to install these settings. After this, you can choose from t he listed access p oint names. If the access point names are not listed by default, please contact your network provider for the same.
To add any operator Access point Name, go to settings > Network & internet > Mobile network > Advanced> Access point Names>add.
After you have selected or configured the access po int name, go t o Settings > Network & internet > Data usage to enable Internet connection.
6.2. Access Internet via Wi-Fi
To browse the Internet via Wi-F i:
Go to Settings> Network & internet and then tap Wi-Fi. Next, select the Wi-Fi connect ion listed under Wi-Fi

7-MANAGING NOTIFICATIONS
Notification icons inform you of new messages and events. When you receive a notification, its icon appears in the status bar, along with a summary.
7.1. Open the No tifications Panel
Drag the status bar down from the top of the screen as shown below:
The Notifications panel displays your network p rovider name and a list of your current notificatio ns.
7.2. Respond to No tifications
Open the notification pa nel a nd touch a notification to respond to it. What happens next dep ends on the notification.
7.3. Close Notif ications Panel
Drag the tab at the bottom of the Notifications p anel to the top of the screen. Or just press t he back button. The panel also closes whe n you touch a not ification to respond to it.

You can use Messages to exchange text messages and multimedia messages with your friends.

Bluetooth, Email ,etc. You can share via email, Bluetooth, and s o on.

You can easily transfer yo ur favorite music from your PC to the SD card a nd experience a whole world of interesting and melodious music.

Android P uses the vertical volume interface, which users can pop up by short press the volume button. It is very convenient to switch the Audio Profiles and adj ust the volume.
10-CONNECT TO NETWORKS AND DEVICES
Your phone can connec t to a varie ty of networks and devices, including Wi-Fi, GPRS, Bluetooth, devices, such as headsets. You can also transfer fil es to/from your PC through the data cable.

10.4. Pair with Bluetooth Devices
Go to Settings > Connected devices> Connection Preference>Bluetooth. If Blueto oth is off, check B luetooth to turn it on. Your phone scans and displays the Bluetooth dev ices in range. If th e device you want to pair wit h is not in the list, make it discoverable. Your phone will remain scanned until it is discoverable by other devices. Touch the ID of the other device in the list Settings to pair them. If you a re prompted to for a password, en ter a ny password on one device and enter the same password you entered in the other device to be paired , If the pairing is successful, your ph one gets connected to the device.
10.5. Connect to Internet via your P hone
You can browse t he Internet on your PC us ing your mobile phone. To do this:
Connect your m obile phone to your PC via the USB cable. Go to Settings> Network & Internet>More >Hotspot &
tethering > USB Tethering. A prompt for installation will app ear on your P C. Proceed as suggested. May be you need to ma nually install the drivers in PC.
10.6. Install Secure Certificate from SD Card
If your V PN or Wi-Fi Network relies on s ecure certificates, you
must obtain the cer tificates and store them in your phone’s
storage, before you can configu re access to those VPN or Wi-Fi networks on your pho ne. You may need to download the certificates from a website.

Touch Settings> Security & Location. Touch Install from SD card under Credential Storage. Touch the file name of the certificate to install. Only the
names of certificates that you have not already installed on your phone are disp layed.
If prompted, enter t he certificate’s password and touch OK. Enter a name for t he certificate and touch OK.
11-DOWNLOAD APPLICATIONS
The phone has a default configuration which includes some applications. Discover all others apps by using play store. You will be able to connect with mobile data or Wi-Fi for example, and by signing in the application with just an email. This is what it looks like:

This mobile phone meets the government ’s requi rements for
exposure to radio waves. This phone is designed and man ufactured not t o exceed the emission limits for exposure to radio f requency (RF) en ergy set by the Federal Commun ications Commiss ion of the U.S. Government.
The exp osure standard for w ireless mobile phones employs a unit of measurement known as the Specific Absorption Rate, or SAR. The SAR l imit set by the FCC is 1.6W/kg. *Tests for SAR are conducted using standa rd operating positions accepted by the FCC with the phone trans mitting at its highest certified power level in all tested frequency bands. Although the SAR is determined at the highest certified power level, t he actual SAR level of th e phone while operating can be well below the maximum value. This is beca use the phone is designed to operate at multiple power levels so as to use only the poser requi red to reach the network.
