3.Install Battery in Transmitter
The Transmitter runs on a single 9V battery (alkaline recommended). Expected average
life of an alkaline type battery is 90+ hours at 70°F. The battery is installed in the battery
compartment on the bottom of the Transmitter. (see figure 5) To install the battery:
1. Open battery compartment on bottom of Transmitter.
2. Remove old bat tery from battery compartment.
3. Remove old battery from battery leads.
4. Attach new 9V battery (alkaline recommended) to battery leads.
5. Place battery into battery compartment.
6. Replace battery compartment cover.

4.Mounting the Receiver in Trap House
IMPORTANT! In order to achieve maximum reception capabilities, the Receiver
must be mounted so that the top of the Receiver is horizontal. It is also important
that the Receiver be mounted such that the minimum amount of obstructions and
distance is between it and the Transmitter(s). There should not be any metal
objects between the Receiver and Transmitter(s), as this will decrease effective
range. The recommended placement of the Receiver is in the upper right or left rear
corner of the traphouse. This location provides the most unobstructed position for the
Receiver to receive signals from the shooter's Transmitters.
To Mount the Receiver:
1. Determine the best location in one of the upper rear corners of the traphouse that
provides the least amount of interference causing obstructions (including lights and
conduit).
2. Anchor the Receiver bracket to the wall using four (4) suitable No. 10 screws in
appropriate wall anchors. (see figures 6a & 6b)
3. Remove wing nut securing strain relief clamp to the Receiver bracket. (see figure 6)
4. Slip clamp over wire of 110 ft Handheld Control Unit Cord.
5. Re-attach clamp to Receiver bracket, securing with wing nut. This will prevent plug
damage if the cord is pulled too hard.
6. Connect the system wiring as outlined in the next section (5. Connecting the System)

5.Connecting The System
After the Receiver has been mounted in the trap house (refer to section 3) you are ready
to connect the system together. This consists of attaching a suitable plug (depending on
trap manufacturer) to the end of the 10 ft Trap Release cord, attaching the Handheld
Control Unit to one end of the 110 ft. Handheld Control Unit cord, and connecting the
12VDC Power Supply, 10 ft. Trap Release cord and Handheld Control Unit cord to the
Receiver unit.
1. Connect appropriate plug end to bare end of 10 ft Trap Release Cord. No plug has
been provided as styles vary between different trap manufacturers.
2. Connect the end of the 10 ft. Trap Release cord with the appropriate plug to the trap
machine's release cord connector.
3. Connect the other end of the 10 ft. Trap Release Cord to the Receiver by inserting the
connector in to the socket that has 2 pins and twisting it to secure. (see figure 7)
4. Connect one end of the 110 ft. Handheld Control Unit cord to the Handheld Control
Unit and the other end to the Receiver into the socket that has 5 pins (see figure 8)
5. Connect the 12VDC Power Supply cord to the Receiver by inserting the plug into the
socket that has 3 pins and twisting it to secure. (see figure 9)
6. Plug the 12VDC Power Supply into an 110VAC wall outlet.

Operation
The following items must be set up prior to using the All-American Wireless Voice
Release system:
1. Transmitter stands are assembled (refer to pages 3 & 4)
2. DIP switches set to match in transmitters and receiver (refer to pages 5 & 6)
3. Receiver is mounted in trap house (refer to page 7)
4. Battery is installed in transmitters (refer to page 8)
5. Power supply is connected to receiver and plugged into wall outlet (refer to page 9)
6. Trap release cord is connected to receiver and trap machine (refer to page 9)
7. Handheld Control Unit is plugged into receiver (refer to page 9).
After confirming the previous items, you are ready to begin using the system.
System Operation
1. Set the stand with the transmitter at a comfortable position 2-3 feet from your shooting
stance. (see figure 10)
2. Turn the transmitter(s) on/off switch to the 'ON' position. (see figure 11) The red LED
at the front of the transmitter will flash 6 times verifying power is on. (see figure 12)
3. Turn the scorekeeper's Hand Held Release Unit on on/off switch to the 'ON' position.
The red LED on the hand Held Unit will light indicating the system is powered on and
ready to accept voice calls. (see figure 13)
4. The "pull" button on the scorekeeper's Handheld Release unit allows the scorekeeper
to manually release a target whether the power switch is in the on or off position. (see
figure 13)
5. The system is designed to shut down and ignore any input from the Transmitter(s)
after a period of 3 minutes as a safety feature to prevent accidentally firing the trap
during periods of non-use. The system can be re-activated by either: 1) Toggling the
ON/OFF switch on the Handheld Control Unit to the “OFF”, then “ON” position or 2)
Manually releasing a target by pressing the ‘pull’ button on the Handheld Control Unit.
6. "Call" for your target using your normal calling style. The system accepts a wide
variety of pull calls and changes in calling styles are usually not necessary.
7. When the Transmitter's battery power becomes low, there is approximately 5 hours of
life remaining. At this point, the red LED on the Transmitter will begin flashing once
every two seconds. The red LED on the scorekeeper's Handheld Unit will also begin
flashing once every two seconds, signaling that one of the Transmitters is at a low
battery state. The Transmitters can then be checked to determine which on is flashing
signaling the low battery state. Refer to part 3 in the Installation section on how to
replace the Transmitter's battery.
8. During inclement wet weather, the Transmitter can be covered with a plastic bag to
help prevent any moisture from entering the enclosure. No loss of performance will
occur.
