Smooth and curvy, ergonomic and practical. The Bloomfield glass decanter is designed to do more than just hold coffee. Its teardrop shape is a better fit for warmer plates, is easier to clean and allows us to put more glass on the sides where it is needed most. The handle is permanently bonded, attaching onto the glass using a large contact surface. Our sculpted thumb rest delivers better control while pouring. No slips. No drips. Strength of Design

The true test of any glass decanter is how it holds up to real-world, everyday restaurant use. Which is precisely why we’ve built our decanter to have extremely consistent side walls. A test made by an independent laboratory showed that Bloomfield glass provides a high level of side impact resistance. This test evaluates the break strength at the major diameter of the carafe, the area that is most prone to in-use impacts.

Quality of Manufacturing

Computerization and a state-of-the-art Oxyfueled furnace provide finite control over the melting of raw materials. When each decanter is formed, it is the result of continuous monitoring of the melting process. The goal is to optimize forming conditions - the result is built in quality with uniform wall weights, excellent break strength and improved function. Human operators, along with computers, make a minimum of 14 major quality checks on every carafe. These tests include an hourly check of glass thickness and daily chemical composition testing. Every carafe is gauged for critical dimensions and receives 100% visual inspection before packing. Each pallet is further sampled by trained QC inspectors before final release.

Ease of Use

Our contour design is a much better fit for warmer plates, providing a larger, more even heating surface. The teardrop shape also makes it easy to completely empty the decanter, eliminating the need to turn the wrist at an unnatural angle. Hands of all sizes comfortably fit the handle, and a sculpted thumb rest ensures a safe, controlled grip and precise pour.
