SERVICE INSTRUCTIONS
Field Retrofit 8884 AIRPOT
To update an old-style airpot to the new style, order kit # 86491.
To repair a new-style airpot, order kit# 83160NS.
The following items are compatible with both old- and new-style
airpots:

IMPORTANT:
Be sure to save the existing spout
gasket (item #8).
RETROFIT AIRPOT
1. Open top of airpot. Remove the old spout. Save the spout gasket and
discard the remainder of the spout.
2. Remove and discard the old top and pum p assembly.
3. Remove three rubber plugs from the inside lip of the old shoulder.
Remove three screws holding the shoulder to the tank. Save the screws,
rubber plugs and tank gasket. Discard the o ld shoulder and handle
assembly.
4. Assemble handle to new shoulder.
a. With the "bow" of the handle under the spout area, line-up the keyed
fittings on the handle with the matching holes in the shoulder.
Push in until fully seated.
b. Rotate the handle until it is above the shoulder.
5. Be sure the tank gasket is in place, then install the shoulder on the tank.
Tighten the scre ws and install the rubber plugs.
6. Install the new top and pump assembly.
7. Slide the spout gasket in place then insert and lock the spout into the airpot.
Close the top.
Procedure is complete
