to New-Style Solenoid

PREPARATION
Disconnect electric power to brewer and allow to cool before
proceeding.
Turn water supply OFF.
Disconnect water supply from inlet fitting.
Remove and discard solenoid door. Open top panel.
Disconnect hot water supply tube from inlet fitting. Note how this tube is
routed through the cabinet.
Detach silicone tube and disconnect electric leads from brew solenoid.
Remove and discard brew solenoid and associated fittings.
Disconnect hot water tank inlet tube from tank.
Disconnect electric leads from hot water fill solenoid. Remove and
discard hot water fill solenoid, hot water tank inlet tube and hot water
supply tube.

Unplug brewer from electric power
before beginning this procedure.
This procedure to be performed by
qualified technical personnel only.
New solenoid (available
separately as p/n 86107) has
two independently controlled
sections. As viewed from the
rear of the brewer:
RIGHT HAND side of solenoid
is for hot water tank fill.
LEFT HAND side of solenoid
is for coffee brew.
IMPORTANT:
Be sure silicone hoses are
pushed fully onto the barbed
portion of fitting and solenoid.
Secure hot water supply tube
to barbed fitting and solenoid
with provided clamps.
INSTALL KIT #86303 - CONVERT TO NEW SOLENOID
Attach new solenoid to new solenoid door. Position electrical
connections at the bottom.
Connect hot water fill solenoid jumper wires:
a. Piggy-back terminals ends connect to the existing wires at the
top of the brewer. Connect red to red, and white to white.
b. Route single-terminal ends to solenoid location through existing
wire run in cabinet.
c. Connect jumper wires to right-hand section of solenoid.
Install hot water supply tube:
a. Install hot water tank inlet fitting on the tank.
b. Attach silicone hot water supply hose. Secure to fitting with
clamp.
c. Route hose to solenoid location through hole in cabinet
previously occupied by copper hot water supply tube.
d. Attach new silicone hot water tank supply hose to right-hand
hose connection of solenoid. Secure with clamp
Connect existing brew solenoid wires to left-hand section of solenoid.
Attach existing brew supply hose to left-hand hose connection of
solenoid. Carefully slide solenoid assembly into brewer. Secure
solenoid door to cabinet.
Insert button plug in vacant hole below solenoid door.
Connect brewer to electric power and water supply. Test for proper
operation.
