Intended use

Your Black & Decker iron has been designed
to remove creases from fabrics using heat &
steam and is not to be used for any other
purpose.

This appliance is intended for use in
household and similar applications such as:
sta kitchen areas in shops, oces and
other working environments; farm houses;
by clients in hotels, motels and other
residential type environments;
bed and breakfast type environments. This
product is not intended for regular use

before using the appliance.

Using your appliance

supply when not in use and before

Electrical safety

and matching outlets will reduce the risk
of electric shock.

Extension cables & Class 1 product

• Do not use the appliance if any part is

damaged or defective.

• Have any damaged or defective parts

repaired or replaced by an authorised

• Before use, check the power supply cord

for signs of damage, ageing and wear.

• Do not use the appliance if the power

Additional safety instructions for
irons

• Always route the cord carefully to avoid

a tripping hazard.

• Do not use the appliance near water.

• Do not place the appliance near heat

sources or directly under cabinets. Do

not use the appliance in the presence of

explosive or flammable materials.

• The filling aperture must not be opened

during use.

• Steam may escape from the soleplate.

• Surfaces may be hot during use and

during the cool down period.

• Set the temperature control dial to the

min position before plugging in or out.

• Let the appliance cool down before

leaving it unattended and before

cleaning or inspecting any parts of the

appliance.

• The power supply cord should not touch

the hot soleplate during use or during

the cool down period.

• Do not touch the soleplate until it has

cooled down.

• Wait until the appliance has cooled down

before emptying the water tank as the

water may still be hot.

• Do not immerse the appliance, cored set

or plug in liquids

Before first use

• Remove all packaging from the

appliance.

• Clean the appliance before first use.

unplugged.

Filling the water tank

In order to be able to use the steam

function, you will first need to fill the water

tank with water.

• Make sure that the appliance is

unplugged.

• Set the steam control to the no steam

position.

• Hold the appliance at an angle.

• Always disconnect the appliance from

the supply before filling, emptying,

• Fill the appliance with water using the

beaker provided.

Warning! Never fill above the maximum

filling level indicated on the beaker

provided. Normal tap water can be used,

but if you live in a hard water area the use
of distilled water is recommended. Do not
use chemically de-scaled water.

Use

Warning! Do not leave the appliance

unattended while it is connected to the
power supply and during the cool down
period.

Temperature setting

The required temperature setting depends
on the garment fabric.

• Adjust the temperature control dial to

the required setting:

- •Synthetics

- •• Silk/wool

- ••• Cotton/Linen

The heating light will switch o when the
appliance has reached the required
temperature.

Using as a steam iron

• Fill the water steam tank as described

above.

• Stand the appliance on its heel rest.

• Adjust the temperature control dial to

the required steam setting.

• Plug the appliance in and switch on.

• The heating light will switch on.

Readiness for use is indicated by the
colour of the heating light.

• To create steam, set the steam control to

the steam position.

Using the steam burst button

The steam burst feature can only be used
whilst ironing on a high temperature setting.

If you are unsure of the fiber content of a

garment: start with a low temperature
setting and test on a small area (seam or

inside hem). If wrinkles remain, gradually

increase the heat setting until you find the
optimum setting.

Using as a dry iron

• Stand the appliance on its heel rest.

• Plug the appliance in and switch on.

• Set the steam control to the no steam

position.

• Adjust the temperature control dial to

the required setting.

• Make sure that there is water in the tank

and the temperature control dial is set to
the high steam position.

• Lift the appliance and press the steam

burst button. You may need to press a
few times to activate the pump.

Self Clean

The self-clean function must be used before
using the appliance for the first time and
then regularly to remove scale.

• Fill the tank to the maximum filling level.

• Set the temperature control dial to the

max position.

• Plug the appliance in and switch on.

• Allow the appliance to heat up until the

heating light switches o and then on
again.

• Unplug the appliance and hold it

horizontally over the sink.

• Press the self-clean button

Warning! Hot water and steam will come
out of the vents. Impurities and scale will be
washed away.

• Move the iron backwards and forwards

while this is happening.

• Release the self-clean button.

• Stand the appliance upright on its heel

rest.

• Plug the appliance in and switch on.

• Iron an old cloth or towel to dry the

soleplate.

Using the spray button

The spray feature can be used at any
temperature setting when either steam or
dry ironing.

• Make sure that there is water in the spray

water tank.

• Press the spray button several times to

activate the pump while you are ironing.

Anti-calc

The Anti-calc function filters the minerals

from the water to prevent mineral residue
build up in the steam chamber.

Automatic shut o

If the iron is switched on and not moved for

a period of 8 minutes while standing on its

heel or 30 seconds while standing on the

soleplate, an internal safety feature will
switch the iron o and the auto-shuto

indicator will blink. Move the appliance

sharply to switch it on again.

Heating indicator light

When the iron is switched on the heating
indicator light will light up to reflect the
temperature of the iron.

The temperature is indicated by the colour
of the heating light:

Blue On

Green • Cool Synthetics

Yellow •• Warm Silk, wool

Purple ••• Hot Cotton, linen

Cleaning and maintenance

Before cleaning and maintenance, remove
the plug from the socket and allow the
appliance to cool.

Anti-drip

This iron is equipped with a anti drip
function: the iron automatically stops
steaming when the temperature is too low
to prevent water from dripping out of the
soleplate.

Avant la première mise en service

Attention! Avant de remplir le réservoir,

Remplissage du réservoir

• Le cordon d’alimentation ne doit pas
toucher la semelle chaude pendant
l’utilisation ou la période de
refroidissement.

• Ne pas toucher la semelle avant qu’elle
n’ait refroidi.

• Attendre que l’appareil ait complètement
refroidi avant de vider le réservoir car
l’eau peut encore être chaude.

Afin de pouvoir utiliser la fonction vapeur,
vous devez d’abord remplir le réservoir avec
de l’eau.

• S’assurer que l’appareil est débranché.

• Régler le sélecteur de vapeur sur la
position sèche.

• Tenir l’appareil incliné.

• Remplir l’appareil avec de l’eau à l’aide
du gobelet fourni.

Attention! Ne remplissez jamais au-dessus

du niveau de remplissage maximum indiqué
sur le gobelet fourni. L'eau du robinet peut
être utilisée, mais si vous habitez dans une
zone d'eau dure l'utilisation de l'eau distillée
est recommandée. Ne pas utiliser d'eau
chimiquement de-échelle.

Utilisez

Attention! Ne pas laisser l'appareil sans

surveillance pendant qu'il est connecté à
l'alimentation et au cours de la période de
refroidissement.

Le réglage de température

Le réglage de la température requise
dépend du tissu de vêtement.

• Réglez la molette de réglage de la
température à la valeur souhaitée:

- • Synthétique

- • • Soie / laine

- • • • coton / lin

Si vous n'êtes pas sûr de la teneur en fibres
d'un vêtement: commencer avec un réglage
de basse température et test sur une petite
surface (couture ou de l'ourlet à l'intérieur).
Si les rides restent, augmenter
progressivement le réglage de chaleur
jusqu'à ce que vous trouver le réglage
optimal.

Utilisation en tant que fer sec

• Placez l'appareil sur son talon d'appui.

• Branchez l'appareil et allumez.

• Réglez la commande de vapeur sur la
position de non-vapeur.

• Réglez la molette de réglage de la
température à la valeur désirée.

La lumière de chauffage s'éteint lorsque
l'appareil a atteint la température requise.

Utilisant comme un fer à vapeur

• Remplir le réservoir de vapeur d'eau
comme décrit ci-dessus.

• Placez l'appareil sur son talon d'appui.

• Réglez la molette de réglage de la
température au réglage de vapeur
nécessaire.

• Branchez l'appareil et allumez.

• La lumière du chauffage se met en
marche. Préparation pour l'utilisation est
indiquée par la couleur de la lumière de
chauffage.

• Pour créer de la vapeur, réglez la
commande de vapeur sur la position
vapeur.

En utilisant le bouton de jet de
vapeur

La fonction jet de vapeur ne peut être utilisé
tout à repasser sur un réglage à haute
température.

• Assurez-vous qu'il ya de l'eau dans le
réservoir et le cadran de commande de
température est réglée à la position
haute de la vapeur.

• Soulevez l'appareil et appuyez sur le
bouton de jet de vapeur. Vous devrez
peut-être appuyer plusieurs fois pour
activer la pompe.

Autonettoyant

La fonction d'auto-nettoyage doit être
utilisé avant d'utiliser l'appareil pour la
première fois, puis régulièrement pour
éliminer le tartre.

• Remplir le réservoir jusqu'au niveau
maximal de remplissage.

• Régler le cadran de commande de
température à la position max.

• Brancher l’appareil et mettez-le en
marche.

• Laisser l’appareil chauffer jusqu’à ce que
le voyant de contrôle s’éteigne puis une
nouvelle fois.

• Débrancher l’appareil et tenez-le à
l’horizontal au-dessus d’un évier.

• Appuyer sur la touche auto-nettoyage

Attention! De l’eau chaude et de la vapeur
vont sortir par les trous de la semelle. Les
impuretés et le calcaire seront expulsés.

• Au même moment agiter le fer d’avant
en arrière.

• Relâcher la touche auto-nettoyage.

• Redresser l’appareil sur son support.

• Brancher l’appareil et mettez-le en
marche.

• Repasser un vieux chiffon ou une
serviette pour sécher la semelle.

Utilisation de la touche
pulvérisation

La fonction pulvérisation peut être utilisée à
tout moment en repassage à sec ou à
vapeur.

• S’assurer qu’il y a de l’eau dans le
réservoir.

Système anti-calcaire

Le système anti-calcaire filtre les minéraux
contenus dans l’eau pour éviter
l’accumulation de dépôts dans la chambre à
vapeur.

Fonction arrêt automatique

Lorsque le fer à repasser est en marche et
immobilisé pendant 8 minutes en position
verticale ou 30 secondes en position
horizontale, un dispositif de sécurité interne
éteint le fer à repasser et le voyant lumineux
d’arrêt automatique se met à clignoter. Pour
rallumer le fer, bougez-le fortement.

Voyant lumineux de contrôle de
chaue

Lorsque le fer à repasser est en marche, le
voyant lumineux indiquera la température
de chauffe par sa couleur.

La couleur du voyant de contrôle indique la
température :

Bleu Sous tension

Vert • Tiède Synthétiques

Jaune •• Chaud Soie, laine

Violet ••• Très chaud Coton, lin

Nettoyage et entretien

• Appuyer sur la touche pulvérisation

Usando como ferro seco

A luz de aquecimento é desligado quando o
aparelho atingir a temperatura desejada.

Utilizando como um ferro a vapor

• Encha o tanque de vapor de água como
descrito acima.

• Coloque o aparelho em sua base de
descanso.

• Ajuste o botão de controle de
temperatura para a definição de vapor
necessário.

• Ligue o aparelho e ligue.

• A luz de aquecimento será ligado.
Preparação para utilização é indicada

Utilizar o botão pulverizador

Anti calcário

A função anti calcário filtra os minerais da
água para prevenir que resíduos minerais se
formem no compartimento do vapor.

Desligar automático

Se o ferro estiver ligado e não for movido
por um período de 8 minutos enquanto está
no suporte ou 30 segundos enquanto está
na base, uma característica interna de
segurança irá desligar o ferro e o indicador
de desligar automático irá piscar. Mova o
ferro repentinamente para tornar a ligar.

Luz indicadora de aquecimento

Quando o ferro está ligado a luz indicadora
de aquecimento irá acender para indicar a
temperatura do ferro.

A temperatura é indicada pela cor da luz de
aquecimento:

Verde • Frio Sintético

A característica de pulverizador pode ser
utilizada em qualquer definição de
temperatura quando estiver a passar a ferro
com vapor ou a seco.

• Certifique-se de que existe água no

pulverizador para ativar a bomba

Anti gotas
