INTENDED USE

Your Black & Decker hair dryer has been designed
for drying hair as described in this manual.
This product is intended for household use only.

Using your appliance

ELECTRICAL SAFETY

◆ Before use, check that the mains voltage

corresponds to the voltage on the rating plate.

This appliance is double insulated in
accordance with EN 60335; therefore no
earth wire is required.

To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not
immerse the cord, plug or motor unit in
water or other liquid.

ASSEMBLY

Selecting the voltage (SC831 only)

◆ Determine the local mains voltage.

◆ Turn the voltage selection knob (1) to the

correct setting.

Fitting and removing the attachments

◆ Allow the appliance to cool before changing

the attachments.

◆ Fit the concentrator nozzle (4, 10) for general

hair drying and styling.

◆ To add volume and lift, fit the diffuser (5, 11).

USE

Switching on and off

SC831

The heat control switch (2) has three positions:
off, warm and hot.

◆ When the switch is moved to 0, the appliance

is switched off.

◆ Slide the switch to position 1 for warm air.

◆ Slide the switch to position 2 for hot air.

SC832

The speed control switch (7) has three positions:
off, slow and fast.

◆ When the switch is moved to 0, the appliance

is switched off.

◆ Turn the switch to position 1 for blowing air at

a low speed.

◆ Turn the switch to position 2 for blowing air at

a high speed.

Heat selector (SC832 only)

The heat selector (8) has three positions: warm,
hot and very hot.

◆ When the switch is set in position 1, the hair

dryer blows normal warm air.

◆ Turn the switch to position 2 for hot air.

◆ Turn the switch to position 3 for very hot air.

Cool shot button

◆ Press and hold the cool shot button (3, 9) to

set your individual style.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Before doing any cleaning or maintenance,
switch the appliance off and remove the
plug from the power source.

◆ Remove any loose hair which may have become

trapped in the diffuser or the rear filter.

◆ Do not try to disassemble or repair the hair

dryer yourself.

PROTECTING THE ENVIRONMENT

Black & Decker provides a facility for
recycling Black & Decker products once
they have reached the end of their working
life. This service is provided free of charge.
To take advantage of this service please
return your product to any authorised repair
agent who will collect them on our behalf.

Dopo l’uso

◆ Prima di lasciare incustodito l’apparecchio

◆ Quando non è in funzione, la macchina deve

essere riposta in un luogo asciutto e non

Ispezione e riparazioni

Verificare anche che non vi siano parti rotte e
che nulla comprometta il funzionamento
dell’apparecchio.

◆ Non usare la macchina se alcuni suoi

NORME DI SICUREZZA ELETTRICA

◆ Prima dell’uso, controllare che la tensione di

alimentazione corrisponda a quella indicata
sulla targhetta con i dati caratteristici.

In ottemperanza alla norma EN 60335,
l’apparecchio è dotato di doppio isolamento
per cui non è necessaria messa a terra.

Per evitare il rischio di scosse elettriche,
non immergere il cavo di alimentazione,
la spina o l’unità di base in acqua o altri
liquidi.

MONTAGGIO

Selezione della tensione (solo SC831)

◆ Determinare qual è la tensione di

alimentazione locale.

◆ Ruotare la manopola di selezione della

tensione (1) sul valore corretto.

Montaggio e smontaggio degli accessori

◆ Fare raffreddare l’apparecchio prima di

sostituirne gli accessori.

◆ Montare il concentratore dell’aria (4, 10) per

asciugare e pettinare i capelli.

◆ Per aggiungere volume e vaporosità, montare

il diffusore (5, 11)

USO

Accensione e spegnimento

◆ Mettere l’interruttore in posizione 1 per

ottenere un getto di aria tiepida.

◆ Mettere l’interruttore in posizione 2 per

ottenere un getto di aria calda.

SC832

L’interruttore di regolazione della velocità (7) ha
tre posizioni: spento, lento e veloce.

◆ Quando l’interruttore è sullo 0, l’asciugacapelli

è spento.

◆ Mettere l’interruttore sulla posizione 1 per un

getto di aria a bassa velocità.

◆ Mettere l’interruttore sulla posizione 2 per un

getto di aria ad alta velocità.

Selettore della temperatura (solo SC832)

Il selettore della temperatura (8) ha tre posizioni:
tiepido, caldo e molto caldo.

◆ Quando l’interruttore è nella posizione 1,

l’asciugacapelli produce un getto di aria tiepida.

◆ Mettere l’interruttore in posizione 2 per ottenere

un getto di aria calda.

◆ Mettere l’interruttore in posizione 3 per ottenere

un getto di aria molto calda.

Pulsante per getto di aria fredda

◆ Premere e tenere premuto il pulsante del getto

di aria fredda (3, 9) per un’acconciatura
personalizzata.

PULIZIA E MANUTENZIONE

Prima di eseguire qualsiasi procedura di
pulizia o manutenzione, spegnere
l’apparecchio e disinserirne la spina dalla
presa di alimentazione.

◆ Rimuovere eventuali capelli che potrebbero

essere rimasti intrappolati nel diffusore o nel
filtro posteriore.

◆ Non tentare di smontare o riparare

l’asciugacapelli.

SC831

L’interruttore di regolazione della temperatura (2)
prevede tre posizioni: spento, tiepido e caldo.

◆ Quando l’interruttore è sullo 0, l’asciugacapelli

è spento.

Seleccionar a tensão (apenas SC831A-B)

◆ Determine a tensão da corrente eléctrica local.

◆ Rode o botão de selecção de tensão (1) na direcção do valor

pretendido.

Encaixar e retirar os acessórios

◆ Permita que o aparelho arrefeça antes de trocar os acessórios.

◆ Encaixe o bocal do concentrador (4, 10) para a secagem normal e

penteados.

◆ Para dar mais volume, encaixe o difusor (5, 11).

UTILIZAÇÃO

Ligar e desligar

O interruptor de controlo de temperatura (2) tem três posições:
desligado, morno e quente.

◆ Quando o interruptor é colocado na posição 0, o aparelho está

desligado.

◆ Faça deslizar o interruptor para a posição 1 para a saída de ar morno.

O selector de temperatura (8) tem três posições: morno, quente e muito
