Intended use

Your BLACK+DECKER stick blender has
been designed for blending, mixing,
beating, whipping, whisking and chopping
food and beverage ingredients depending
on the product. Do not use this appliance
for any other purpose. This product is
intended for household use only.

Safety instructions

Warning! When using

mains-powered appliances, basic

following, should always be followed to

Fitting and removing an attachment (Fig.1)

• Use the blending attachment (3 or 4) for

blending liquids or mashing solids.

• Use the whisk attachment (6) for mixing,

beating, whipping and creaming liquids.

• Use the chopping blade (11), Measuring
jug (9), blade mounting base (12) and
blade housing (13) for chopping

vegetables etc.

• Use the ice chopping blade (15),
Measuring jug (9), Ice chopping bowl (12)

and blade housing (13) for chopping ice
etc.

Use

Blending

• Place the ingredients into a measuring jug

or a suitable container.

• Using a stabbing motion, push the blades
(3 or 4) into the ingredients until the

correct consistency is reached.

• When blending liquids or fluid

ingredients, use short pulses to prevent
spillages.

• Keeping the blades (3 or 4) submerged

will help to prevent spillages. Take extra
care when blending hot ingredients.

Mixing

• Place the ingredients into a measuring jug

or a suitable container.

Unpacking

• Remove all packaging from the

appliance.

• Clean the appliance before first use.

Assembly

Warning! Before assembly, make sure that

the appliance is switched o and
unplugged.

• Mix the ingredients until the correct

consistency is reached.

• Keeping the beater submerged will help

to prevent spillages. Take extra care when
mixing hot ingredients.

Chopping (Fig. 2)

Warning! The measuring jug (9) must be

used with the chopping blade (11). Do not

use the chopping blade with any other bowl.
Do not use the chopping Blade without the
supplied measuring bowl fitted.

• Place blade mounting base (12) in the

measuring bowl (8) Then place the

chopping (11) onto blade mounting base
(12).

• Place the ingredients in the measuring

bowl (9).

• Fit the motor housing (2) into the
gearbox (13) and rotate anti-clockwise to
lock in position. Place the motor &

gearbox into the measuring jug (9)
making sure the blade fits into the recess
in the gearbox

• Chop the ingredients until the correct

consistency is reached.

• Once chopping is completed, unplug the
appliance & allow the blades to stop

moving before removing any parts or
approaching parts that move in use.

Ice Chopping (Fig. 2)

Warning! The measuring jug (9) and the ice

chopping bowl (15) must be used with the
ice chopping blade (10). Do not use the ice

chopping blade with any other bowl. Do not
use the ice chopping Blade without the
supplied ice chopping bowl fitted.

• Place the ice chopping blade (10) in the
ice chopping bowl (15). Place the ice

chopping bowl into the measuring jug as

shown in (Fig.2) to catch the ice residue.

• Place the ice in the ice chopping bowl
(15).

• Fit the gearbox (13) and rotate it in an

anti-clockwise direction to lock it in
place.

• Fit the motor housing (2) into the
gearbox (13) and rotate anti-clockwise to
lock in position. Place the motor &

gearbox into the measuring jug (9)
making sure the blade fits into the recess
in the gearbox

• Chop the ingredients until the correct

consistency is reached.

• Once chopping is completed, unplug the
appliance & allow the blades to stop

moving.

Switching on and o

• To switch the appliance on, press the
speed control switch (1).

• Keep the switch pressed for continuous

operation.

• To switch off, release the switch.

Warning! Do not operate the appliance

continuously for more than 30 seconds.

After operating the appliance continuously

for 30 seconds, let it cool down for at least 1

minute before operating it again. This can be
repeated up to ten times then the appliance
must be left to cool at room temperature.

Warning! After switching o always allow
the motor to stop before approaching the
blade.

Déballage

• Retirez tous les emballages de l’appareil.

• Nettoyez l’appareil avant la première
utilisation.

Assemblage

Attention! Avant d’assembler l’appareil,

assurez-vous qu’il est éteint et débranché.

Monter et retirer un accessoire (Fig.1)

• Utilisez le pied mixeur (3 ou 4) pour

mixer les liquides ou réduire les aliments
solides en purée.

• Utilisez le fouet (6) pour mélanger,
fouetter et battre en crème les aliments
liquides.

• Utilisez la lame hachoir (11), le pichet
gradué (9), le support de lame (12) et le
boitier de lame (13) pour hacher les
légumes etc.

• Utilisez la lame pour piler de la glace (15),
le pichet gradué (9), le bol pour piler de
la glace (12) et le boitier de lame (13)
pour piler de la glace etc.

Utilisation

Mélanger

• Placez les ingrédients dans un pichet
gradué ou un récipient adapté.

• Avec un mouvement allant de haut en
bas, plongez les lames (3 ou 4) dans les
ingrédients jusqu’à l’obtention d’une
consistance désirée.

• Lorsque vous mixez des liquides ou des
ingrédients fluides, faites des impulsions

courtes pour éviter que le contenu

déborde.

• Le fait de garder les lames (3 ou 4)
immergées empêche le contenu de
déborder. Redoublez de prudence
lorsque vous mélangez des ingrédients
chauds.

Malaxer

• Placez les ingrédients dans un pichet
gradué ou un récipient adapté.

• Malaxez les ingrédients jusqu’à l’obtention
d’une consistance désirée.

• Le fait de garder le batteur immergé
empêche le contenu de déborder.
Redoublez de prudence lorsque vous
mélangez des ingrédients chauds.

Hacher (Fig. 2)

Attention! Le pichet gradué (9) doit être

utilisé avec la lame hachoir (11). N’utilisez pas
la lame hachoir avec un autre bol. N’utilisez
pas la lame hachoir sans avoir monté le bol
de mesure gradué fourni.

• Placez le support de lame (12) dans le
bol gradué (8) Puis placez la lame
hachoir (11) sur le support de lame (12).

• Placez les ingrédients dans le bol gradué
(9).

• Fixez le bloc moteur (2) au carter (13) en
tournant dans le sens antihoraire pour le
verrouiller en place. Placez l’ensemble
bloc moteur et carter dans le pichet
gradué (9) en s’assurant que la lame se
met dans l’évidement du carter.

• Hachez les ingrédients jusqu’à la
consistance désirée.

• Une fois le hachage terminé, débranchez
l’appareil et attendre l’arrêt complet des
lames avant d’enlever les pièces ou
d’approcher les parties mobiles pendant
le fonctionnement.

Piler de la glace (Fig. 2)

Attention! Le pichet gradué (9) et le bol

pour piler de la glace (15) doivent être
utilisés avec la lame pour piler de la glace
(10). N’utilisez pas la lame pour piler de la
glace avec un autre bol. N’utilisez pas la
lame pour piler de la glace sans avoir monté
le bol pour piler de la glace fourni.

• Placez la lame pour piler de la glace (10)
dans le bol pour piler de la glace (15).
Placez le bol pour piler de la glace dans
le pichet gradué comme illustré dans la
(Fig.2) pour capturer les résidus de
glace.

• Placez les glaçons dans le bol pour piler
de la glace (15).

• Installez le carter (13) en le tournant dans
le sens antihoraire pour le verrouiller en
place.

• Fixez le bloc moteur (2) au carter (13) en
tournant dans le sens antihoraire pour le
verrouiller en place. Placez l’ensemble
bloc moteur et carter dans le pichet
gradué (9) en s’assurant que la lame se
met dans l’évidement du carter.

• Hachez les ingrédients jusqu’à la
consistance désirée.

• Une fois le hachage terminé, débranchez
l’appareil et attendre l’arrêt complet des
lames.

Mise en marche et arrêt

• Pour mettre l’appareil en marche,
appuyez sur la touche de contrôle de
vitesse (1).

• Gardez la touche enfoncée pour un
fonctionnement continu.

• Pour éteindre, relâchez la touche de
contrôle de vitesse.

Attention! Ne faites pas fonctionner
l’appareil en continu pendant plus de 30
secondes. Après une utilisation continue de
30 secondes, laissez l’appareil refroidir
pendant au moins 1 minute avant de le faire
fonctionner à nouveau. Cette opération peut
être répétée jusqu’à dix fois, laissez alors
l’appareil refroidir à température ambiante.

Attention! Après avoir éteint, laissez le
moteur s’arrêter complètement avant
d’approcher la lame.

Nettoyage et entretien

Attention! Eteignez l’appareil et

débranchez-le avant toute opération de
nettoyage ou d’entretien. Soyez prudent
lorsque vous nettoyez les lames car elles
sont très coupantes.

Attention! Ne plongez pas l’appareil, le
cordon d’alimentation ou la fiche dans l’eau
ou tout autre liquide.

• Lavez les pièces amovibles dans de l’eau
savonneuse et bien les sécher.

• Essuyez le bloc moteur (2) avec un
chiffon humide. N’utilisez pas de produits
de nettoyage abrasifs ou à base de
solvant.

Nettoyez toujours l’appareil immédiatement
après l’avoir utilisé. Ne laissez pas les
aliments sécher sur les lames car cela
rendrait le nettoyage difficile.
