Safety of others
Never leave the appliance unattended when in use.
Do not allow children or any person unfamiliar with these
instructions to use the appliance.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons

After use
Remove the plug from the socket and let the appliance
cool down before leaving it unattended and before

Additional safety instructions for rice cookers
If water has entered the unit allow it to dry thoroughly
before using the appliance again.
Always ensure that the heating plate and the bottom of the
cooking bowl are free from spilled particles before cooking.
Keep the unit and heating plate clean and free from any
foreign particles.
Always carry the appliance using the side handles.
Do not switch the appliance on without having inserted the
cooking bowl.
Do not use the appliance for deep frying food and do not
let any part of the rice cooker come into contact with hot

Your Black & Decker rice cooker has been designed for
cooking rice. This product is intended for household use only.

Using your appliance

To prevent damaging the non stick coating on the
appliance always use the plastic rice spoon or other
rubber or wood utensils.
Electrical safety
Before use, check that the mains voltage corresponds to
the voltage on the rating plate.

Do not immerse the appliance, power supply cord or
plug in water or other liquid.
This product must be earthed.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer or an authorised Black & Decker Service
Centre in order to avoid a hazard.
Extension cables
As the appliance is earthed and of class I construction,
only use a 3-core extension cable.
When using an extension cable make sure it is correctly
wired and rated for its use.

This appliance includes some or all of the following features.

Unpacking
Remove all packaging from the appliance.
Wash the cooking bowl, lid, steaming tray, measuring cup
and serving spoon in warm sudsy water before first use.
Use
Measuring the rice (fig. A & B)
The measuring cup (5) can be used to measure the rice.
Each cup of uncooked rice normally gives two bowls of
cooked rice. Do not exceed the quantities indicated on the
inside of the cooking bowl (6).
Measure the rice with the measuring cup (5).
Determining the required water quantity (fig. A & B)
The amount of water required is indicated on the scale (7) on
the inside of the cooking bowl (6).
Measure the water quantity with the measuring cup (5)
according to the table below.

Warning!
Do not interfere with the automatic action of the control
lever by preventing it from switching to the warm mode.
Exercise caution when handling the appliance as the
cooking bowl and accessories get hot during use.
These may remain hot for some time after use.
Steam can escape from the unit when the accessories or
lid is removed.
Do not use the cooking bowl to wash the rice.
Measure the rice.
Wash the rice thoroughly under cold running water to
remove excess starch.
Put the washed rice into the cooking bowl (6).
Add the required amount of water.
Put the cooking bowl into the appliance.
Ensure the cooking bowl is correctly fitted in good contact
with the heating plate (8).
Plug the supply cord into a suitable electric supply.
The cook indicator (3) will light up.
Press the control lever (1) to start the cooking process.
The cook indicator will go out when the cooking process is
finished. After that the keep-warm indicator (2) will light up
automatically.
Note: For the best rice results stir the rice just after the keepwarm indicator comes on. Stirring the rice with he rice spoon
allow the steam to escape. This will give fluffier rice.
Cleaning and maintenance
Warning! Before cleaning and maintenance, remove the
plug from the socket and allow the appliance to cool.
Do not wash any part of the appliance in a dishwasher.
Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth.
Do not use scouring pads.
If necessary, use a mild detergent to remove spots.
Do not use any abrasive or solvent based cleaner.
Warning! Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other
liquid.

Separate collection. This product must not be
disposed of with normal household waste.
Should you find one day that your Black & Decker product
needs replacement, or if it is of no further use to you, do not

Istruzioni di sicurezza supplementari per i cuociriso
Se nell'elettrodomestico è penetrata dell'acqua, prima di
riutilizzarlo consentirgli di asciugarsi completamente.
Prima di iniziare la cottura, controllare che la piastra
riscaldante e il fondo del contenitore di cottura siano privi
di materiale fuoriuscito.
Mantenere l'elettrodomestico e la piastra riscaldante puliti
e privi di qualsiasi materiale estraneo.
Trasportare sempre l'elettrodomestico utilizzando
le impugnature laterali.
Non accendere l'elettrodomestico senza aver inserito il
contenitore di cottura.
Non utilizzare l'elettrodomestico per friggere alimenti ad
immersione ed evitare che qualsiasi parte del cuociriso
entri in contatto con olio caldo.
Non ostruire l'apertura di fuoriuscita del vapore con
qualsiasi oggetto.
Per evitare di danneggiare il rivestimento antiaderente
dell'elettrodomestico utilizzare sempre il cucchiaio per riso
in plastica oppure altri utensili in gomma o legno.
Sicurezza elettrica
Prima dell’uso, controllare che la tensione di alimentazione
corrisponda a quella indicata sulla targhetta nominale.

Non immergere l'elettrodomestico, la spina o il cavo
di alimentazione in acqua o altri liquidi.
Questo prodotto deve essere collegato a terra.
Se il cavo elettrico in dotazione risulta danneggiato, deve

Prolunghe

Disimballaggio
Rimuovere tutto il materiale da imballaggio
dall'elettrodomestico.
Prima di usare l'elettrodomestico per la prima volta,
lavare in acqua calda saponosa il contenitore di cottura,
il coperchio, il vassoio per la cottura a vapore, la tazza
dosatrice e il cucchiaio.
Uso
Dosaggio del riso (fig. A & B)
Per dosare il riso è possibile utilizzare la tazza dosatrice (5).
Ciascuna tazza di riso crudo normalmente corrisponde a due
ciotole di riso cotto. Non superare le quantità indicate
all'interno del contenitore di cottura (6).
Dosare il riso utilizzando la tazza dosatrice (5).
Determinazione della quantità di acqua necessaria
(fig. A & B)
La quantità d'acqua necessaria è indicata sulla scala (7)
presente all'interno del contenitore di cottura (6).
In base alla tabella sottostante, misurare la quantità
d'acqua utilizzando la tazza dosatrice (5).

Attenzione!
Non interferire con il funzionamento automatico della
levetta di controllo ostacolandone il passaggio alla
modalità di riscaldamento.
Porre attenzione nel maneggiare l'elettrodomestico poiché
il contenitore di cottura e gli accessori raggiungono
temperature elevate durante l'uso e non si raffreddano
immediatamente dopo l'uso.
Alla rimozione degli accessori o del coperchio, il vapore
può fuoriuscire dall'elettrodomestico.
Non utilizzare il contenitore di cottura per lavare il riso.
Dosare il riso.
Lavare a fondo il riso sotto acqua fredda corrente per
rimuovere l'amido in eccesso.

Porre il riso lavato nel contenitore di cottura (6).
Aggiungere la quantità d'acqua necessaria.
Porre il contenitore di cottura nell'elettrodomestico.
Verificare che il contenitore di cottura sia posizionato
perfettamente a contatto con la piastra riscaldante (8).
Inserire il cavo di alimentazione in una presa di
alimentazione idonea.
L’indicatore di cottura (3) si accende.
Per avviare il processo di cottura premere la levetta
di controllo (1).
Al termine della cottura l'indicatore di cottura si spegne e si
accenderà automaticamente la spia di mantenimento in caldo
(2).
Nota: Per un risultato ottimale mescolare il riso solo dopo
l'accensione della spia di mantenimento in caldo. Mescolando
il riso con l'apposito cucchiaio si permette la fuoriuscita del
vapore ottenendo in tal modo un riso più soffice.
Pulizia e manutenzione
Attenzione! Prima della pulizia e della manutenzione,
estrarre la spina dalla presa e attendere che
l'elettrodomestico si raffreddi.
Non lavare in lavastoviglie alcuna parte
dell'elettrodomestico.
Pulire l'esterno con un panno umido.
Non usare spugnette abrasive.
Se necessario, rimuovere eventuali macchie usando un
detersivo non aggressivo. Non usare materiali abrasivi o
detergenti a base di solventi.
Attenzione! Non immergere l’elettrodomestico in acqua o in
altri liquidi.
Protezione dell'ambiente

Raccolta differenziata. Questo prodotto non deve
essere smaltito con i normali rifiuti domestici.
Nel caso in cui si decida di sostituire l'apparecchio oppure
di disfarsene in quanto non più necessario, non dovrà essere
smaltito con i normali rifiuti domestici. Smaltire il prodotto
tramite raccolta differenziata.

Ασφάλεια άλλων

χρήση.

έχουν διαβάσει το εγχειρίδιο οδηγιών να
χρησιμοποιήσουν τη συσκευή.

Μετά τη χρήση

Έλεγχο και επισκευές
Πριν τη χρήση, ελέγξτε τη συσκευή για τυχόν φθαρμένα ή
ελαττωματικά εξαρτήματα. Ελέγξτε εάν έχουν σπάσει
κομμάτια ή για άλλες καταστάσεις που μπορούν να
επηρεάσουν τη λειτουργία.
Μη χρησιμοποιείτε τη συσκευή εάν κάποιο εξάρτημά της
έχει πάθει ζημιά ή παρουσιάζει ελάττωμα.
Ζητήστε από εξουσιοδοτημένο συνεργείο σέρβις την
επισκευή ή την αντικατάσταση όλων των φθαρμένων ή
ελαττωματικών εξαρτημάτων.
Πριν από τη χρήση, ελέγξτε προσεκτικά το καλώδιο
τροφοδοσίας σημάδια ζημιάς, παλαίωσης και φθοράς.
Μη χρησιμοποιείτε τη συσκευή αν το καλώδιο παροχής
ρεύματος ή το φις έχει πάθει ζημιά ή παρουσιάζουν
ελαττώματα.
Εάν το καλώδιο τροφοδοσίας ή το φις είναι
κατεστραμμένα ή ελαττωματικά, πρέπει να
αντικατασταθούν από εξουσιοδοτημένο κέντρο επισκευής,

προσδιορίζονται σε αυτό το εγχειρίδιο.
Συμπληρωματικές οδηγίες ασφαλείας για
ρυζομηχανές.
Εάν έχει μπει νερό στη μονάδα αφήστε το να στεγνώσει
πριν χρησιμοποιήσετε ξανά τη συσκευή.
Βεβαιωθείτε πάντα ότι η θερμαινόμενη πλάκα και το
πάτος του μπολ μαγειρέματος δεν έχουν χυμένα
σωματίδια πριν το μαγείρεμα.
Κρατήστε τη μονάδα καθαρή και χωρίς ξένα σωματίδια.
Να μεταφέρετε πάντα τη συσκευή από τις πλευρικές
λαβές.
Μην ανάβετε τη συσκευή χωρίς να έχετε βάλει το μπολ
μαγειρέματος.
Μην χρησιμοποιείτε τη συσκευή ως φριτέζα για τρόφιμα
και μην αφήνετε κανένα μέρος της ρυζομηχανής να έρθει
σε επαφή με καυτό λάδι.
Μην εμποδίζετε το άνοιγμα εξορισμού ατμού με κάποιο
αντικείμενο.
Για να αποτρέψτε τη ζημιά στη μη-κολλητική επιφάνεια,
να χρησιμοποιείτε πάντα πλαστικό κουτάλι ρυζιού ή άλλα
πλαστικά ή ξύλινα σκεύη.
Ελεγχος και επισκευές
Πριν τη χρήση, ελέγχετε αν η τάση τροφοδοσίας
αντιστοιχεί σε αυτήν που αναγράφεται στην πινακίδα
χαρακτηριστικών.

Μην βυθίζετε τη συσκευή, το καλώδιο τροφοδοσίας
ή το φις σε νερό ή άλλο υγρό.
Αυτό το προϊόν πρέπει να γειωθεί.
Αν το καλώδιο ρεύματος έχει υποστεί βλάβη, πρέπει να
αντικατασταθεί από τον κατασκευαστή η από
εξουσιοδοτημένο Κέντρο Επισκευών Black & Decker ώστε
να αποφύγετε τους κινδύνους.
Καλώδια προέκτασης
Επειδή η συσκευή οίνοι γειωμένη και κατασκευής
κατηγορίας I, χρησιμοποιήστε μόνο ένα τριπολικό
καλώδιο προέκτασης.
Όταν χρησιμοποιείτε ένα καλώδιο προέκτασης,
βεβαιωθείτε ότι έχει συνδεθεί και βαθμολογηθεί σωστά.

Αποσυσκευασία
Αφαιρέστε όλα τα υλικά συσκευασίας από τη συσκευή.
Πλύνετε το μπολ μαγειρέματος, το καπάκι, τον δίσκο
ατμού και το κουτάλι σερβιρίσματος με ζεστό νερό με
σαπούνι πριν τη πρώτη χρήση.
Χρήση
Μέτρηση ρυζιού (εικ. A & B)
Η μεζούρα (5) μπορεί να χρησιμοποιηθεί για τη μέτρηση
ρυζιού. Κάθε κούπα μη μαγειρεμένου ρυζιού δίνει περίπου
δυο μπολ μαγειρεμένου ρυζιού. Μην ξεπεράστε τις ποσότητες
που εκδικιόνται στο εσωτερικό του μπολ μαγειρέματος (6).
Μετρήστε το ρύζι με τη κούπα μέτρησης (5).
Καθορισμός της απαραίτητης ποσότητας νερού
(εικ. Α & B)
Το ποσό του απαραίτητης ποσότητας νερού ενδείκνυται στη
κλίμακα (7) στο εσωτερικό του μπολ μαγειρέματος (6).
Μετρήστε τη ποσότητα νερού με τη μεζούρα (5) σύμφωνα
με τον παρακάτω πίνακα.

Προσέχετε όταν χρησιμοποιείτε τη συσκευή διότι το μπολ
μαγειρέματος μπορεί να ζεσταθεί κατά τη χρήση.
Τα σκεύη μπορεί να παραμείνουν ζεστά για κάποιο
διάστημα μετά τη χρήση.
Ο ατμός μπορεί να ξεφύγει από τη μονάδα όταν τα
εξαρτήματα ή το καπάκι αφαιρούνται.
Μην χρησιμοποιήστε το μπολ μαγειρέματος για να
πλύνετε το ρύζι.
Μετρήστε το ρύζι.
Πλύντε καλά το ρύζι κάτω από κρύο τρεχούμενο νερό για
να αφαιρέστε το επιπλέον άμυλο.
Τοποθετήστε το πλυμένο ρύζι στο μπολ μαγειρέματος (6).
Προσθέστε την απαιτούμενη ποσότητα νερού.
Τοποθετήστε το μπολ μαγειρέματος στη συσκευή.
Βεβαιωθείτε ότι το μπολ μαγειρέματος έχει τοποθετηθεί
σωστά σε καλή επαφή με τη θερμαινόμενη πλάκα (8).
Τοποθετήστε το βύσμα καλωδίου σε μια κατάλληλη
παροχή ρεύματος.
Ο δείκτης μαγειρέματος (3) ανάβει.
Πατήστε το μοχλό ελέγχου (1) για να ξεκινήσετε την
διαδικασία μαγειρέματος.
Ο δείκτης μαγειρέματος θα σβήσει όταν η διαδικασία
μαγειρέματος τελειώσει. Στη συνέχεια ο δείκτης διατήρησης
θερμότητας (2) θα ανάψει αυτομάτως.
Σημείωση: Για καλύτερα αποτελέσματα ανακατέψτε το ρύζι
μετά το ανάμα του δείκτη διατήρησης θερμότητας.
Το ανακάτεμα του ρυζιού με το κουτάλι ρυζιού αφήνει τον
ατμού να διαφύγει. Αυτό δίνει πιο αφράτο ρύζι.
Καθαρισμός και συντήρηση
Προειδοποίηση! Πριν από τον καθαρισμό και την
συντήρηση, αφαιρέστε το φις από την πρίζα και αφήστε
την συσκευή να κρυώσει.
Μην πλένετε κάποιο μέρος της συσκευής σε πλυντήριο
πιάτων.
Σκουπίστε το εξωτερικό με ένα υγρό πανί.
Μην χρησιμοποιείτε διαλυτικά.
Εάν χρειαστεί, χρησιμοποιήστε ένα μαλακό
απορρυπαντικό για να απομακρύνετε τους λεκέδες.
Μη χρησιμοποιείται δραστικά καθαριστικά ή όσα
περιέχουν διαλυτές.
Προειδοποίηση! Μη βυθίζετε τη συσκευή στο νερό ή σε
άλλο υγρό.
Διάθεση εργαλείων και περιβάλλον
Z
Ξεχωριστή συλλογή. Αυτό το προϊόν δεν πρέπει να
απορριφθεί με συνηθισμένα σπιτικά απορρίμματα.
Εάν κάποια μέρα διαπιστώσετε ότι το προϊόν σας
Black & Decker χρειάζεται αντικατάσταση ή δεν σας
χρησιμεύει πλέον, μην το απορρίψετε με τα σπιτικά
απορρίμματα. Κάντε αυτό το προϊόν διαθέσιμο για ξεχωριστή
