Intended use

Your Black & Decker appliance is intended
for heating rooms.

Do not use this appliance for any other
purpose. This appliance is intended for use
in household and similar applications such
as: sta kitchen areas in shops, oces and
other working environments; farm houses;
by clients in hotels, motels and other
residential type environments; bed and
breakfast type environments.

Read this entire manual carefully
before using the appliance.

Using your appliance

• Always take care when using the

appliance.

• Never pull the power supply cord to

disconnect the plug from the socket.
Keep the power supply cord away from
heat, oil and sharp edges.

• Do not place the appliance on or near

heat sources or in a heated oven.

• Do not use the appliance outdoors.

• Always protect the motor unit from water

or excessive humidity.

• If the power supply cord is damaged

during use, disconnect the appliance from
the power supply immediately. Do not
touch the power supply cord before
disconnecting from the power supply.

• Disconnect the appliance from the power

supply when not in use, before fitting or
removing parts and before cleaning.

• Never let the appliance operate

unattended.

• Do not let the cord hang over the edge of

a table, counter, or touch hot surfaces.

• Fully uncoil then guide the power supply

cord neatly so it cannot be caught
accidentally or tripped over.

• The heater must not be located

immediately below a socket-outlet.

• To prevent overload and blown fuses, do

not plug other appliance into same outlet
(receptacle)

• Do not place the heater on carpets, don’t
place the cable under carpets. Arrange

cord away from trac areas so that it will
not be tripped over.

• NEVER use this heater where it may

come into contact with water i.e.
bathroom, shower room, kitchen. Do not
use this heater in the immediate
surroundings of a bath, a shower or a
swimming pool.

Warning! In order to avoid overheating, do

not cover the heater. NEVER use the heater

to dry clothes or similar articles.

• Don’t touch the hot surfaces.

• Do not position the appliances in close

proximately to curtains or other
combustible materials. Keep combustible
material such as furniture, cushions,
bedding, paper, clothes, curtains etc. at
least 1.0m away from the heater.

• Always ensure that hands are dry before

operating or adjusting any switch on the
product or touching the plug and mains
supply connections.

• Do not use this heater with a

programmer, timer, separate
remote-control system or any other
device that switches the heater on
automatically, since a fire risk exists if the
heater is covered or positioned
incorrectly.

• To prevent a possible fire, do not block

air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do
not use on soft surfaces, like a bed,
where openings may become blocked.

After use

• Remove the plug from the socket before

leaving the appliance unattended and
before changing, cleaning or inspecting
any parts of the appliance.

• When not in use, the appliance should be
stored in a dry place. Children should not

have access to stored appliances.

Inspection and repairs

• Switch off the appliance before cleaning,

changing accessories or approaching
parts which move in use

• Before use, check the appliance for
damaged or defective parts. Check for

breakage of parts, damage to switches
and any other conditions that may aect
its operation.

• Do not use the appliance if any part is

damaged or defective.

• Have any damaged or defective parts

repaired or replaced by an authorised
repair agent.

• Before use, check the power supply cord

for signs of damage, ageing and wear.

• Do not use the appliance if the power

supply cord or mains plug is damaged or
defective.

• If the power supply cord or mains plug is

damaged or defective it must be
repaired by an authorised repair agent in

order to avoid a hazard. Do not cut the

power supply cord and do not attempt
to repair it yourself.

• Never attempt to remove or replace any

parts other than those specified in this
manual.

Electrical safety

Before use, check the mains voltage
corresponds to the voltage on the rating
plate.

This appliance is double insulated

therefore no earth wire is required.

• To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not

immerse the cord, plug or motor unit in

water or other liquid.

• Check that the supply voltage shown on

the rating plate of the appliance matches

that of your electrical system. Any

connection error will invalidate the
guarantee.

Warning: In order to avoid

overheating, do not cover the
heater.

Mains plug replacement

If a new mains plug needs to be fitted:

• Safely dispose of the old plug

• Connect the brown lead to the live

terminal of the new plug

• Connect the blue lead to the neutral

terminal

• If the product is class I (earthed),

connect the green/yellow lead to the
earth terminal

Warning! If your product is class II double

insulated (only 2 wires in the cord set), no
connection is to be made to the earth
terminal

• Follow the fitting instructions supplied
with good quality plugs

• Any replacement fuse must be of the

same rating as the original fuse supplied
with the product

The fan heater incorporates a rotate on
switch you can select the dierent air by

Thermostat

When heating mode is selected

• Turn the thermostat knob in a clockwise

direction to the max position.

• Once the room has reached the desired

temperature, turn the thermostat knob
slowly in an anti-clockwise direction until
a "click" sound is heard. That is the

setting temperature. Now, the thermostat

is switched o.

• The thermostat will automatically
maintain the set temperature. It will

switch on when the room temperature is
below and switch o if above the setting.

• The indicator lamp shows that heating

mode is switched on.

Oscillation

The heater can oscillate when in use to
circulate air around a greater area. The
oscillation control button can be found at
the rear of the heater towards the bottom.

• Press the oscillation control button to the
on position ( I ) to start oscillation.

• Press the oscillation control button to the

o position ( 0 ) to stop oscillation.

Use

Your appliance is fitted with a thermostat
for your safety. Using the appliance
continuously for very long periods may
cause the appliance to overheat and stop

working. It is therefore recommended that

you disconnect the appliance from the
mains supply and allow to fully cool before
continuing use.

1. Place the appliance on a flat, stable

surface.

3. Select the operating mode.

4. Set the thermostat to the required

setting.

Maintenance & cleaning

• Switch the appliance off then remove the

plug from the power socket.

• The appliance is easier to clean if you do

so immediately after use.

• Do not use abrasive cleaning agents,

scourers, acetone, alcohol etc. to clean
the appliance.

• Clean the motor unit with a damp cloth.
Never immerse the motor unit in water

nor rinse it under the tap.

Utilisation de votre appareil

pour éviter qu’il fasse trébucher
quelqu’un.

• NE JAMAIS utiliser ce radiateur dans un

endroit où il pourrait être en contact avec
de l’eau, comme une salle de bains, une
salle d’eau ou une cuisine. Ne pas utiliser
ce radiateur près d’une baignoire, d’une
douche ou d’une piscine.

sécher du linge ou autres articles textile sur
le radiateur.

• Ne pas toucher les surfaces chaudes.

• Ne pas placer le radiateur près de

rideaux ou d’un matériau combustible.
Tenir les matériaux combustibles tels que
meubles, coussins, literie, papiers,
vêtements, rideaux, etc., à au moins 1
mètre du radiateur.

• Veillez à avoir les mains sèches avant de

faire fonctionner ou d’ajuster le bouton
de réglage sur l’appareil, ou de toucher la
prise et les branchements électriques.

• N’utilisez pas cet appareil de chauffage

avec un programmateur, un minuteur, un
système de contrôle à distance ou tout
autre dispositif qui allume l’appareil de
chauage automatiquement, parce qu’il
y a un risque d’incendie si l’appareil de
chauage est couvert ou rangé dans une
mauvaise position.

• Pour éviter un incendie, ne pas obstruer

les entrées et sorties d’air de quelque
façon que ce soit. Ne pas utiliser sur une
surface molle, comme un lit, où les
ouvertures pourraient s’obstruer.

• Ne pas ranger le radiateur avant qu’il ne

soit refroidi, ranger le radiateur dans un
endroit frais et sec lorsqu’il n’est pas
utilisé.

• Ne pas utiliser un cordon de rallonge

• Ne faire fonctionner que sur une surface

plane.

• Eviter d’insérer ou de permettre

l’insertion de tout objet dans les fentes
de circulation d’air de l’appareil car ceci
pourrait causer un choc électrique, un
incendie ou endommager l’appareil.

un endroit où sont utilisés ou stockés de
l’essence, de la peinture ou d’autres

produits inflammables.

• La cause de surchauffe la plus fréquente

provient de dépôts de poussière ou de
peluches dans l’appareil. Assurez-vous
que ces dépôts soient enlevés
régulièrement en nettoyant les fentes et
grilles d’aération avec un aspirateur après
avoir débranché l’appareil.

• Toujours utiliser le radiateur en position

verticale. Ne pas utiliser l’appareil dans
une pièce de moins de 4m

• Pour débrancher l’appareil, l’éteindre sur

la position “OFF”, puis retirer la fiche de
la prise. Ne pas tirer sur le cordon car cela
pourrait l’endommager.

• La température des surfaces accessibles

Sécurité électrique

Avant l’utilisation, vérifiez que la tension
électrique correspond à celle indiquée sur
l’étiquette signalétique.

Cet appareil est à double insolation
donc ne nécessite pas un fil à la
terre.

• Pour éviter les risques de décharges
électriques, ne plongez pas le cordon, la
fiche ou le bloc moteur dans l’eau ou
tout autre liquide.

• Vérifiez que la tension d’alimentation
indiquée sur l’étiquette signalétique de
l’appareil correspond bien à celle de
votre installation électrique. Toute erreur
de branchement annulerait la garantie.

surchauffe, ne pas couvrir le
radiateur.

Remplacement de la fiche
électrique

En cas d’installation d’une nouvelle fiche:

• Jetez l’ancienne fiche avec prudence

• Connectez le fil marron sur la borne sous
tension de la nouvelle fiche

• Connectez le fil bleu sur la borne neutre

• Si l’appareil est de classe I (mis à la
terre), connectez le fil vert/jaune sur la
borne terre.

Avertissement! Si votre appareil est de
classe II à double insolation (seulement 2
fils dans le cordon), aucune connexion à la
borne terre ne doit être faite.

• Suivre les instructions de montage
fournies avec les fiches de bonne qualité

• Tout fusible de rechange doit être du
même calibre que le fusible d’origine
livré avec l’appareil.

Réglage du mode

Le ventilateur du radiateur comporte un
bouton rotatif de réglage, et vous pouvez
sélectionner différents types d’air en le
tournant dans le sens horaire sur:

Thermostat

Lorsque le mode de chauffage est
sélectionné

• Tourner le bouton du thermostat dans le
sens horaire sur la position max.

• Dès que la pièce a atteint la température
désirée, tournez le bouton du thermostat
doucement dans la direction antihoraire
jusqu’à ce que vous entendiez un clic,
c’est la température du réglage et
maintenant le thermostat est allumé.
Entendiez un clic, c’est la température du

réglage et maintenant le thermostat est
allumé.

• Le thermostat maintient
automatiquement la température
programmée. Il se mettra en marche
lorsque la température de la pièce passe
en dessous et s’éteindra lorsque la
température passe au-dessus.

• Le voyant rouge indique que le mode de
chauffage est en marche.

Oscillation

L’appareil de chauffage peut osciller quand
il fonctionne pour faire circuler l’air dans une
plus grande zone. Le bouton de commande
de l’oscillation se trouve en bas à l’arrière de
l’appareil de chauffage.

• Mettez le bouton de commande de
l’oscillation dans la position ( I ) pour
démarrer l’oscillation.

• Mettez le bouton de commande de
l’oscillation dans la position ( 0 ) pour
arrêter l’oscillation.

Utilisation

Votre appareil est équipé d’un thermostat
pour votre sécurité. Une utilisation en
continu de l’appareil pendant de longues
périodes peut entrainer une surchauffe et un
arrêt de l’appareil. Il est alors recommandé
de débrancher l’appareil du secteur et de le
laisser refroidir complètement avant de le
réutiliser.

1. Placez l’appareil sur une surface plane et
stable.

2. Branchez-le sur une prise électrique.

3. Sélectionnez le mode de fonctionnement.

4. Réglez le thermostat sur la température
souhaitée.

Entretien et nettoyage

• Mettre l’appareil hors tension, retirer la
fiche de la prise de courant.

• L’appareil est plus facile à nettoyer si
vous le faites immédiatement après
usage.

• Ne pas utiliser de produits de nettoyage
abrasifs, de tampons à récurer,
d’acétone, d’alcool etc. pour nettoyer
l’appareil.

• Nettoyez le bloc moteur avec un chiffon
humide. Ne jamais plonger le bloc
moteur dans l’eau et ne pas le rincer
sous le robinet.

aquecer divisões da casa.

• Rode o botão do termostato no sentido

dos ponteiros do relógio para a posição
máxima.

• Logo que a divisão tenha atingido a

temperatura desejada, rode lentamente
o botão do termostato no sentido
contrário dos ponteiros do relógio até

ouvir um som de “clique”. Essa é a

temperatura configurada. Agora, o

termostato é desligado.

• O termostato irão manter

automaticamente a temperatura definida.
Ligará novamente quando a temperatura
da divisão baixar e desligar acima da
temperatura definida.

• A lâmpada indicadora indica que o modo

aquecimento está ligado.

Oscilação

O aquecedor pode oscilar quando está a ser
utilizado para fazer circular ar numa área
maior. O botão de controlo da oscilação
pode ser encontrado na parte de trás do
aquecedor perto da base.

• Pressione o botão de controlo da

oscilação para a posição ( I ) para
começar a oscilação.

• Pressione o botão de controlo da

oscilação para a posição ( 0 ) para parar
a oscilação.

Utilização

O aparelho tem um termostato para sua

segurança. A utilização contínua do

aparelho por longos períodos de tempo
pode provocar o sobreaquecimento e parar

de funcionar. Recomenda-se que desligue o

aparelho da tomada e que o deixe arrefecer
antes de continuar a utilizar.
