BREWING 2 TO 4 CUPS
Note: This feature slows down the brewing to extract the best flavor when
brewing a small amount of coffee.
1. Add the appropriate amount of water for the number of cups to be brewed
(from 2 – 4).
2. Fill the permanent filter or paper filter with desired amount of coffee
grounds.
3. Press the 2 – 4 CUPS button. Its light illuminates.
Note: BREW STRENGTH cannot be selected in this mode. Coffee will be
brewed at regular strength.
4. Press the ON/OFF button, its light illuminates and the brewing cycle
begins.
Note: Press the 2 - 4 CUPS button again to cancel this function.
SNEAK-A-CUP® FEATURE
The Sneak-A-Cup® feature allows you to pour a cup of coffee from the carafe
while the coffee is brewing. When the carafe is removed the brewing process
is paused. Simply replace the carafe on the “Keep Hot” carafe plate within 30
seconds and brewing resumes.
Note: If the carafe is not replaced within 30 seconds the filter basket
may overflow.
KEEPING COFFEE HOT - AUTO OFF
Once the coffee has brewed, the coffeemaker will keep the “Keep Hot” carafe
plate hot between 1-4 hours, then it shuts off automatically.
Note: Coffeemaker shuts off after 2 hours if the AUTO OFF time is not
changed.
There are 4 preset AUTO OFF times for selection.
1. Press the AUTO OFF button once to select 2 hours (2:00).
2. Press the AUTO OFF button 2 times to select 3 hours (3:00).
3. Press the AUTO OFF button 3 times to select 4 hours (4:00), OR
4. Press the AUTO OFF button 4 times to select 1 hour (1:00). The digital
display will show 1:00, 2:00, 3:00 or 4:00.
Note: The coffeemaker shuts off when the AUTO OFF time is reached.

DELAYED BREWING
1. Follow steps 1 through 11 under BREWING COFFEE.
2. Make sure the clock has been set to the correct time of day.
3. Press the program (PROG) button.
4. The digital clock will display 12:00 or the previous preset delayed brewing
start time.
Note: If the coffeemaker has not been unplugged the last delayed brewing time
will appear on the digital display.
5. To change the time: Immediately press the HOUR button until the desired
correct time appears on the display. Repeat with the MIN button.
Note: If the hour is not changed before the clock time stops flashing the clock
will revert to correct time of day. You must press the program (PROG) button
again and re-enter the desired delayed brewing time.
6. Press the AUTO button to activate the delayed brewing. The AUTO light
illuminates.
7. To check the preset auto time, press program (PROG) button and hold it. Once
button is released, the clock time displays again.
8. If you want to change the preset auto time, press the (AUTO) button to cancel
the preset time.
9. Follow steps 3 through 6 under DELAYED BREWING.
10. To cancel delayed brewing, press the AUTO button. The AUTO light shuts off.
To brew coffee immediately, press the ON/OFF button.
CARE AND CLEANING
This product contains no user-serviceable parts. Refer service to qualified service
personnel.
CLEANING
1. Be sure the unit is unplugged and has cooled.
2. Open the one-piece cover.
3. To remove the filter basket, grip the handle and lift straight up.
4. Discard the paper filter, if used, and the coffee grounds.
5. Wash the filter basket, carafe and carafe lid in dishwasher, top rack or wash by hand
in hot, sudsy water.
6. Wipe the appliance’s exterior surface, control panel and “Keep Hot” plate with a soft
damp cloth.
7. Do not use abrasive cleansers or scouring pads. Never immerse the coffeemaker in
water.
8. To clean the inside of the cover, open the cover and leave in the open position.
9. Wipe surfaces with a damp cloth.
AUTO CLEAN
We recommend cleaning your coffeemaker every month.
Important: Remove the water filter holder with carbon filter before activating the
AUTO CLEAN.
1. Combine 6 cups of white vinegar and 4 cups of cold water in carafe.
2. Pour into water reservoir.
3. Place an 8 to 12 cup cone style paper filter in the removable filter basket. Insert filter
basket into filter basket holder and close lid.
4. Make sure the lid of the carafe is in place and place empty carafe on the “Keep Hot”
carafe plate.
5. Plug power cord into an outlet.
6. Press AUTO CLEAN to activate cleaning cycle; the AUTO CLEAN light flashes.
7. Part of the mixture will brew through. Remaining mixture will be held in coffeemaker
for 30 minutes before completing its brew through.
Note: The entire cleaning cycle will take 45-60 minutes to complete.
8. When the coffeemaker completes the AUTO CLEAN cycle, it beeps 3 times and shuts
off automatically.
9. Brew fresh water through appliance following instructions given in GETTING
STARTED before brewing coffee again.

COMO USAR
Este aparato es solamente para uso doméstico.
PARA COMENZAR
• Lave todas las partes separables de acuerdo a las instrucciones en la
sección de CUIDADO Y LIMPIEZA de este manual.
• Abra la tapa enteriza y eche agua fresca y fría dentro del tanque de agua de
la cafetera hasta donde la ventana marca 12 tazas (MAX).
• Coloque el filtro permanente o un filtro en forma de cono para 8 – 12 tazas
dentro de la cesta removible.
• Cierre la tapa enteriza.
• Asegure que jarra tenga su tapa cerrada y sitúe la jarra sobre la placa
calefactora.
• Saque el cable de su compartimiento en la parte de atrás de la cafetera y
enchúfelo a un tomacorriente.
• Cuele agua a través de la unidad, de acuerdo a las instrucciones PARA
COLAR CAFÉ – sin añadir café molido.
Nota: Esto saca el polvo o cualquier residuo que pueda haber quedado en el
sistema producto del proceso de fabricación.
• Deseche el agua de la jarra; enjuague el filtro permanente o deseche el
filtro de papel, si lo usó.
• Apague la unidad, desenchúfela y permita que se refresque.
PROGRAMACIÓN DEL RELÓJ
1. Enchufe la unidad a un tomacorriente estándar.
2. La pantalla digital del reloj muestra 12:00 y ( : )de forma intermitente.
Nota: Usted debe ajustar el reloj para poder utilizar la función de COLADO
PROGRAMABLE.
3. Para ajustar la hora: Presione el botón HOUR hasta que la hora correcta
aparezca en la pantalla digital.
Nota: Cuando la hora pase del mediodía, la luz al lado de las letras “PM” se
ilumina para indicar que la hora es P.M. Si la luz al lado de las letras “PM” no
esta iluminada, significa que la hora es A.M.
4. Para ajustar los minutos, repita las instrucciones presionando el botón
(MIN).
Consejo: Mantenga oprimidos los botones de programar la hora y los minutos
para que, luego de una pequeña pausa, éstos que cambien rápidamente en la
pantalla. Para cambiar la hora en incrementos de 1 hora o 1 minuto, toque los
botones ligeramente.
Nota: Si la unidad está desenchufada o hay una interrupción de corriente,
aunque sea momentánea, la hora debe ser ajustada de nuevo.
PARA COLAR CAFÉ
Nota: No es necesario ajustar el reloj para colar café a no ser que usted desee
utilizar la función de COLADO PROGRAMABLE.
1. Abra la tapa enteriza.
2. Llene el tanque de agua con la cantidad de agua fría deseada (consultar
ilustración A). No exceda el nivel máximo de 12 tazas.
Importante: La cafetera tiene dos agujeros por la parte de atrás para cuando
se desborde el agua. Tenga cuidado de no sobrellenar el tanque para evitar
que se derrame agua sobre el mostrador o superficie de trabajo.
3. Coloque el cesto removible para el filtro dentro de la cafetera.
4. Coloque un filtro de papel en forma de cono para 8 –12 tazas dentro de el
cesto removible.
5. Añada la cantidad de café deseada.
6. Cierre la tapa enteriza.
7. Asegure que la jarra tenga su tapa bien colocada y cerrada.
Nota: El café puede desbordarse si la tapa no está colocada correctamente.
8. Coloque la jarra vacía sobre la placa calefactora.
9. Enchufe el cable a un tomacorriente.
10. Presione el botón selector de intensidad de colado para seleccionar
café fuerte. Su luz se ilumina.
11. Presione el botón selector de intensidad de colado otra vez para
seleccionar café regular. Su luz se apaga.
Nota: Su cafetera está programada para colar con intensidad REGULAR .
12. Presione el botón de encendido/apagado (ON/OFF); su luz se ilumina y el
ciclo de colado comienza.
13. Cuando el café pare de verter dentro de la jarra, el ciclo de colado ha
terminado.
Nota: La cafetera pita por un segundo para indicar la terminación del ciclo de
colado.
14.
Una vez que el café molido ya usado se refresque, levante la tapa enteriza con
cuidado y agarre la cesta del filtro por el asa para desechar el café. Cierre la
tapa enteriza.
15.
La cafetera mantendrá el café colado caliente de 1 a 4 horas y luego se
apagará automáticamente (consultar PARA MANTENER EL CAFÉ CALIENTE
- AUTO OFF).
Nota: La cafetera se apaga después de 2 horas si el tiempo de apagado
automático (AUTO OFF) no se cambia.
16. Para apagar la cafetera en cualquier momento, presione el botón de
encendido/apagado (ON/OFF). La luz de ON/OFF se apaga.
17. Desenchufe la unidad cuando no esté en uso.
PARA COLAR DE 2 A 4 TAZAS
Nota: Esta opción modera la velocidad del ciclo de colado para extraer el
mejor sabor del café al colar una pequeña cantidad.
1. Añada la cantidad de agua adecuada para el número de tazas de café que
va a colar (de 2 – 4).
2. Llene el filtro permanente o un filtro de papel dentro de la cesta con la
cantidad deseada de café molido.
3. Oprima el botón 2 – 4 CUPS. Su luz se ilumina.
Nota: La opción de intensidad de colado no puede seleccionarse en

DISPOSITIVO DE INTERRUPCIÓN DE COLADO SNEAK-A-CUP®
El dispositivo de interrupción de colado Sneak-A-Cup® le permite servir una
taza de café mientras el ciclo de colado continúa. Cuando se retira la jarra, el
proceso de colado se detiene. Simplemente coloque de nuevo la jarra sobre
la placa calefactora antes de que pasen 30 segundos y continúe el ciclo de
colado.
Nota: De no devolver la jarra a su lugar antes de transcurrir 30 segundos, el
cesto para el filtro puede desbordarse.
PARA MANTENER EL CAFÉ CALIENTE - (AUTO OFF)
Una vez que el café cuele, la cafetera mantendrá la placa calefactora caliente
durante 1 a 4 horas; luego se apagará automáticamente.
Nota: La cafetera se apaga después de 2 horas si el tiempo de apagado
automático (AUTO OFF) no se cambia.
La cafetera tiene 4 tiempos de apagado automático preprogramados para
su selección.
Presione el botón AUTO OFF (apagado automatico) 1 vez para seleccionar
2 horas (2:00).
Presione el botón AUTO OFF 2 veces para seleccionar 3 horas (3:00).
Presione el botón AUTO OFF 3 veces para seleccionar 4 horas (4:00), O
Presione el botón AUTO OFF 4 veces para seleccionar 1 hora (1:00). La
pantalla digital mostrará 1:00, 2:00, 3:00 o 4:00.
Nota: La cafetera se apagará en cuanto alcance el tiempo de apagado (AUTO
OFF) seleccionado.
COLADO PROGRAMABLE
1. Siga los pasos del 1 al 11 bajo PARA COLAR CAFÉ.
2. Asegure que el reloj esté ajustado a la hora correcta del día.
3. Presione el botón de programación (PROG).
4. El reloj digital mostrará “12:00” o la hora anteriormente programada para
comenzar el ciclo de colado.
Nota: Si la cafetera no se ha desenchufado desde la ultima vez que se
programó el ciclo de colado, la última hora programada aparecerá en el panel
digital.
5. Para cambiar la hora, inmediatamente presione el botón HOUR hasta que la
pantalla digital muestre la hora deseada. Repita lo mismo para ajustar los
minutos, oprimiendo el botón MIN.
Nota: Si la hora no se cambia antes de que la luz hora del reloj dejé de
encenderse de forma intermitente, el reloj volverá a mostrar la hora correcta
del día. Usted deberá oprimir el botón de programación (PROG) otra vez e
ingresar de nuevo la hora para la cual desea programar el ciclo de colado.
6. Presione el botón de colado programable (AUTO) para activar el ciclo
programable. La luz del botón de colado programable (AUTO) se encenderá.
7. Para revisar el tiempo preprogramado, presione el botón de programación
(PROG) y mantengalo presionado. Cuando suelte el botón, el reloj aparace
de nuevo con la hora seleccionada.
8. Si desea cambiar el tiempo preprogramado, presione el botón de colado
programable (AUTO) para cancelarlo.
9. Siga las instrucciones en los pasos 3 a 6 bajo la sección de COLADO
PROGRAMABLE.
10. Para cancelar el ciclo de colado programable, oprima el botón de colado
programable (AUTO). La luz del botón se apaga. O para colar café
inmediatamente presione el botón ON/OFF.
CUIDADO Y LIMPIEZA
Este producto no contiene partes que el consumidor pueda reparar. En caso de
requerir mantenimiento, envíela al personal de servicio calificado.
LIMPIEZA
1. Asegure que la unidad esté desenchufada y que se haya refrescado.
2. Abra la tapa enteriza.
3. Para retirar la cesta para el filtro, agarre el asa y levante hacia arriba.
4. Deseche el filtro de papel, si lo usó y el café molido.
5. Lave la cesta para el filtro, la jarra y su tapa en el compartimiento de arriba de
la maquina lavaplatos, o lávelos a mano en agua caliente jabonada.
6. Limpie la superficie exterior de la unidad, el panel de control y la placa
calefactora con un paño suave y húmedo.
7. No use limpiadores abrasivos ni estropajos. Nunca sumerja la cafetera en agua.
8. Para limpiar la parte de adentro de la cubierta, abra la tapa enteriza y déjela en
posición abierta.
9. Limpie las superficies con un paño suave y húmedo.
LIMPIEZA AUTOMÁTICA - (AUTO CLEAN)
Se recomienda que limpie su cafetera una vez al mes.
Importante: Retire el soporte del filtro de agua junto con el filtro de carbón,
antes de activar la function de limpieza automatica (AUTO CLEAN).
1. Combine 6 tazas de vinagre blanco y 4 tazas de agua fría en la jarra.
2. Vierta adentro del tanque de agua.
3. Coloque un filtro de papel (estilo cono) para 8 a 12 tazas en el cesto para el
filtro. Coloque el cesto adentro de su compartimiento.
4. Asegúrese que la tapa de la jarra esté en su lugar y coloque la jarra sobre la
placa de calentamiento.
5. Enchufe el cable en el tomacorriente.
6. Presione el botón de limpieza automática (AUTO CLEAN). La luz se ilumina de
forma intermitente.
7. Parte de la mezcla se colará. El resto de la mezcla demorará unos 30 minutos
en colar.
Nota: Un ciclo completo de limpieza demora alrededor de 45 a 60 minutos.
8. Cuando la cafetera acabe el ciclo de limpieza automática (AUTO CLEAN), pita 3
veces y se apaga automáticamente.
9. Antes de colar café, cuele agua limpia siguiendo las instrucciones en la sección
“PARA COMENZAR”.
