Intended use

Your Black & Decker citrus juicer has been designed for juicing citrus fruits. This product is intended for household use only.

Read this entire manual carefully before using the appliance.

• The intended use is described in this manual.

Using your appliance

• If the power supply cord is damaged during

use, disconnect the appliance from the power supply immediately. Do not touch the power supply cord before disconnecting from the power supply.

• Disconnect the appliance from the power supply when not in use, before ﬁtting or removing parts and before cleaning.

• Never let the appliance operate unattended.

• Keep any loose clothing or long hair away from any moving parts.

Inspection and repairs

• Before use, check the appliance for damaged or defective parts. Check for breakage of parts, damage to switches and any other conditions that may affect its operation.

• Do not use the appliance if any part is damaged or defective.

• Have any damaged or defective parts repaired or replaced by an authorised repair agent.

• Before use, check the power supply cord for signs of damage, ageing and wear.

• Do not use the appliance if the power supply cord or mains plug is damaged or defective.

• If the power supply cord or mains plug is damaged or defective it must be repaired by an authorised repair agent in order to avoid a hazard. Do not cut the power supply cord and do not attempt to repair it yourself.

• Never attempt to remove or replace any parts other than those speciﬁed in this manual.

• Always leave sufﬁcient space around the appliance for ventilation

• Keep loose clothing, hair, jewelery, etc. away from moving parts.

• Do not use the unit if you have wet hands or bare feet.

Electrical safety

Before use, check that the mains voltage corresponds to the voltage on the rating plate.

This appliance is double insulated in accordance with EN 60335-2-14; therefore no earth wire is required.

• To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not immerse the cord, plug or motor unit in water or other liquid.

• Check that the supply voltage shown on the rating plate of the appliance matches that of your electrical system. Any connection error will invalidate the guarantee.

Assembly

• This appliance is supplied fully assembled & only requires parts to be cleaned before use. See “Cleaning” for details.

1. Fit the jug (5) onto the motor base (6), turn it anti-clockwise to lock it onto the motor base.

2. Clip the required reamer (2 or 3) into the adjustable pulp strainer (4).

3. Place the reamer / adjustable pulp strainer assembly over the spindle of the motor base ensure that the handle on the pulp strainer slots in to the handle of the jug.

Note: With the adjustable pulp strainer in place

you can adjust the grade of the strainer by moving the pulp strainer handle left and right. This allows you to alter the amount of pulp you will get in your juice.

Use

• Prepare the fruit by rolling it gently between

the hands for a moment or two then cut it in half.

• Connect the appliance to a suitable electrical

supply.

• Once juicing is completed, the lid (1) can be

placed over the unit.

• The jug (4) can be removed & used to serve

the juice.

The appliance should be disconnected from the mains supply

before removing the jug.

After 3 minutes of use, the Juicer should be allowed to cool completely before further use.

Useful advice

• Choose fresh, ripe fruit as they will yield

more juice.

• Drink the juice immediately after you have

extracted it. If it is exposed to air for some time, the juice will lose its taste and nutritional value.

• Press the cut face onto the reamer. Pressing

on the reamer will start the motor in the base. The reamer will rotate, cutting into the fruit

and the juice will ﬂow into the jug.

Note: Ensure ﬁngers & hands do not touch the

reamer during operation. Never allow loose

clothing, jewelery, hair, etc. to come in contact with moving parts.

• The juicer will automatically stop once you

Maintenance & cleaning

• The appliance is easier to clean if you do so

immediately after use.

• Do not use abrasive cleaning agents,

scourers, acetone, alcohol etc. to clean the appliance.

• All detachable plastic parts are

dishwasher-safe.

• Place the detachable plastic parts on the top tray of the dishwasher. Make sure they are placed well away from the heating element.

• Clean the motor unit with a damp cloth.

• Never immerse the motor unit in water nor rinse it under the tap.

Mains plug replacement

If a new mains plug needs to be ﬁtted:

• Safely dispose of the old plug

• Connect the brown lead to the live terminal of the new plug

• Connect the blue lead to the neutral terminal

• If the product is class I (earthed), connect the green/yellow lead to the earth terminal.

Note: If your product is class II double insulated (only 2 wires in the cord set), no connection is to be made to the earth terminal.

Inspection et réparations

câble de mise à la terre n’est nécessaire.

• Pour éviter les risques de décharges électriques, ne plongez pas le cordon, la ﬁche ou le bloc moteur dans l’eau ou tout autre liquide.

• Vériﬁez que la tension d’alimentation indiquée sur l’étiquette signalétique de l’appareil correspond bien à celle de votre installation électrique. Toute erreur de branchement annulerait la garantie.

Assemblage

• Cet appareil est livré entièrement monté et il est seulement nécessaire de nettoyer les éléments avant son utilisation. Voir la section “Nettoyage” pour plus d’informations.

1. Montez la carafe (5) sur le socle moteur (6), tournez-la dans le sens inverse des aiguilles d’une montre pour la verrouiller sur le socle.

2. Fixez le cône adéquat (2 ou 3) sur le ﬁltre à pulpe réglable (4).

3. Placez l’assemblage cône / ﬁltre à pulpe réglable sur la broche du socle moteur de sorte que l’anse du ﬁltre à pulpe s’insère dans celle de la carafe.

Remarque: Une fois le ﬁltre à pulpe en place vous pouvez régler le degré du ﬁltrage en déplaçant l’anse du ﬁltre à pulpe vers la gauche et la droite. Cela permet de modiﬁer la quantité de pulpe que vous obtiendrez avec le jus.

Utilisation

Remarque: Faites en sorte que ni les doigts ni les mains ne soient en contact avec le cône pendant l’opération. Ne laissez jamais un vêtement ample, des bijoux ou les cheveux toucher les pièces en mouvement.

• Le presse-agrumes s’arrêtera automatiquement dès que vous cesserez d’appuyer sur le cône (2) avec le fruit.

• Une fois l’extraction de jus terminée, le couvercle (1) peut être mis sur l’appareil.

• La carafe (4) peut être retirée et utilisée pour servir le jus.

Débranchez l’appareil du secteur avant de retirer la carafe.

Après 3 minutes d’utilisation, laissez refroidir le presse-agrume complètement avant de le réutiliser.

• Préparez les fruits en les roulant doucement dans les mains pendant quelques instants puis coupez-les en deux.

• Branchez l’appareil sur une prise électrique adaptée.

• Pressez le coté tranché du fruit sur le cône. Le fait d’appuyer sur le cône fera démarrer le

• Choisissez des fruits frais et mûrs car ils donneront plus de jus.

• Buvez le jus immédiatement après extraction. Lorsque le jus est exposé à l’air pendant un certain temps il perd son goût et ses qualités nutritives.

Entretien et nettoyage

• Il est plus facile de nettoyer l’appareil immédiatement après son utilisation.

• N’utilisez pas de produits abrasifs, de tampons à récurer, de l’acétone, ou de l’alcool etc. pour nettoyer l’appareil.

• Toutes les pièces amovibles sont lavables au lave-vaisselle.

• Placez les pièces amovibles en plastique dans le panier supérieur du lave-vaisselle. Assurez-vous qu’elles soient placées à bonne distance de l’élément chauffant.

• Nettoyez le bloc moteur avec un chiffon humide.

• Ne plongez pas le bloc moteur dans l’eau et ne le rincez pas sous le robinet.

Remarque: Si votre appareil est de classe II double isolation (seulement 2 ﬁls dans le cordon), aucune connexion n’est à faire sur la borne terre. Suivez les instructions de montage fournies avec les ﬁches de bonne qualité. Tout fusible remplacé doit être du même calibre que le fusible d’origine fourni avec l’appareil.

Avertissement! La section ci-dessus sur le remplacement de la ﬁche concerne le personnel des centres de service agréés.
