2.1 INTRODUCTION

This quick-connect surge protector guards 2-wire connections for 100BASE-T, RS-422/423/485.

2.2 WHAT’S INCLUDED

 2-Wire, Terminal Strip Protector, RS-422/100BASE-T

2.3 INSTALLATION STEPS

The protector must be positioned as close as possible to the equipment you wish to protect. For best results, keep the signal line and ground wire length between the protector and communications equipment as short as possible to a maximum of 12 inches (30.4 cm) long. The side with the green ground wire attaches to the device being protected.

STEP 1: Attach the wires by inserting the stripped ends into the terinal strip.

NOTE: There are four holes in the protector on both sides. Only the center two holes are used.

STEP 2: Use the supplied VELCRO® buttons to mount on or near the device you wish to protect.
