The 2-Channel CSU/DSU offers two independent high­speed digital channels that simul­taneously transfer data over one DDS line. There are no monthly bills for a second DDS line—and no costs for additional hardware!
The CSU/DSU’s channels operate at data rates between 2400 bps and 56 or 64 kbps. Select a combination of port speeds for either async or sync operation. The sum of the port speeds must be less than (not equal to) the selected line speed.

DB25 connector. Port 2 is support­ed with a single DB25 RS-232 interface.
Limited-distance modem operation is also available when the 2-Channel CSU/DSU is con­figured with a master clock setting. The unit can operate error-free—up to 10 miles (16.1 km)—at 64 kbps over 19-gauge copper wire!
A front-panel LCD display provides a visual interface into the unit’s menu system. The menu system enables you to configure, test, and monitor the unit’s operation.
Three buttons allow for DDS port and line settings (Advance)
management, selection of an oper­ational display (Select), and performing diagnostics (Enter).
Diagnostics include Self-Test, Digital Loop, Local Loop, and Remote Loop. The unit can quickly isolate network faults and mini­mize your network downtime— and that means even greater savings!
The 2-Channel CSU/DSU is also foolproof. Even if the ports are accidentally misconfigured, a factory reset is as simple as pressing all three buttons while powering up. Factory reset returns the CSU/DSU to original settings, so you can easily fix what went wrong.
