Transmitter unit converts the PC’s
parallel output to a proprietary
serial format and transmits in real
time to the high-speed Receiver
unit. The Receiver unit then
converts the signal back to
parallel and passes it to the
parallel printer. Since both the
Transmitter and Receiver units
draw their operating power from
the parallel interfaces, they need
no AC power or batteries.
A convenient BUSY or
ACKNOWLEDGE flow control
enables the Parallel Line Drivers
to work with most parallel printers
and sharing devices.
