2. Overview
The Pure Home Networking S-Video/Audio CAT5e
Extender/Splitter Module with (6) RJ-45 Ports repeats
and distributes audio and video signals to six different
monitors. This module should be installed in one of the
Pure Home Networking Boxes (JHN1014A, JHN1020A,
JHN1030A, or JHN1040A). You can cascade up to 10
boosters for a total of 60 outputs.
The module features a built-in impedance-matching
device and filter for video and audio signal transmission
over Category 5e cable. It’s compatible with NTSC or
PAL signals. RJ-45 ports allow hot-swapping terminals.
3. Installation
3.1 Single-Extender/Splitter Configuration
Place the switch in the Terminate position. Figure 3-1
shows a typical setup.

3.2 Multiple-Extender/Splitter Configuration
Position the last extender/splitter’s switch in the
Terminate position. Set all other extender/splitters’
switches to Bridge. See Figure 3-2.
