OVERVIEW

Connect your V.35, RS-232, or X.21 device to a 64-kbps
G.703 network with these Compact Codirectional G.703
Converters.

Three models are available:

• The IC700A plugs directly into an RS-232 DTE and is
equipped with a male DB25 connector.

• The IC701A plugs directly into a V .35 DTE and features
a male M/34 connector.

• The IC702A plugs into an X.21 DTE and has a male
DB15 connector at the end of a 6-foot (1.8-m) cable.

All versions come with an RJ-45 jack for 120-ohm twisted-

pair network termination.

The converters incorporate local loopback and G.703
loopback diagnostic modes. And for protection against
ground loops and transient surges, the converters have
both transformer isolation and surge protection.

Place your V.35, RS-232, or X.21 device up to 5250 feet
(1600.2 m) away from the G.703 network (using 24 AWG
twisted-pair cable).

The converter conforms to common CCITT jitter-control
standards.

Clocking options are internal, external, or network.

An external power supply is included with the converter.
