UNPACKING YOUR PHONE
This package should contain the following:
· Polaris base unit
· Straight line cords
· This manual
BEFORE USING
The Polaris Series is designed for hotel applications and behind a registered PBX
system in hotel. Determine you have the correct modular jack for connecting the
telephone. If you do not have a modular jack, one may be obtained at minimal
cost at a local hardware store, discount store or home center.
CONVERTING TO WALL MOUNT
Hold telephone in front of the 2 mushroom shaped mounting posts on the wall
jack. Line up both keyholes with the 2 posts. Slide telephone down slightly. When
properly installed the telephone will be firmly attached to the wall

Sometimes, use word emergency to replace call.

HOW TO USE
MESSAGE WAITING LIGHT
[MWL] functions as ringing indicator and message indicator.
ADJUSTING VOLUME OF THE PHONE
Press this key to adjust the volume during calling.
EMERGENCY CALLING SYSTEM
Press this key to dial a phone number which has been programmed before. User
must pre-programmed the phone number with special handset. Press this key or
press On/Off key again to close the device.
USING THE [HOLD] KEY
Press [HOLD] key to place the caller on hold (the indicator light)
To release hold, just press SPKR.
The joining extension off-hook also can release the hold (the indicator off)
BUSY TONE DISCONNECT AUTOMATICALLY
If user fails to close the device, it will disconnect automatically within a definite
time. Secure the device works properly.

The Polaris telephone Series complies with Part 68 of the FCC rules. On the
bottom of this telephone is a label that contains, among other information, the
FCC registration number and the ringer equivalence number (REN) for this
telephone. If requested, you must provide this information to the Telephone
Company.
CE APPROVAL
The Polaris telephone series complies with CE approval.
Warranty
This product is warranted for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase
against faulty materials or workmanship. If during this period a defect arises, we
may repair or replace the product, at Bittel’s discretion, provided that:
1) The product has not been used for any purpose other than normal use,

2) Unauthorized product repair or modifications have not been attempted.
3) The product has never been used in a harsh or corrosive environment.
4) No damage in transit
THIS LIMITED WARRANTY GIVES THE BUYER SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS.
THE BUYER MAY ALSO HAVE OTHER RIGHTS WHICH VARYFROM
JURISDICTION TO JURISDICTION.
This warranty is only valid for merchandise purchased directly from Bittel or
dealers or distributors Bittel Co. authorized .
