and moving p arts of the appl iance and its acces sories. » D o not use to suck up water. » D o not immerse in wate r for cleaning. » T he hose should be c hecked regularly a nd must not be used if d amaged. » A lways turn OFF this ap pliance before conn ecting or disconn ecting either
hose or motorised nozzle. » I f the supply cord is dam aged, it must be rep laced by the manufa cturer, its
service a gent or similarly qu alified perso n in order to avoid a hazard . » D o not run applianc e over cord. » D o not use with damage d cord or plug. » D o not pull or carry by c ord, use cord as a hand le, close door on cord , or pull
cord around sharp edges or corners. » Ke ep cord away from heated s urfaces. » I f the appliance has a h and-held acces sory like pet brush , motor driven head,
etc., the user shall avoid entrapment. » D o not leave applianc e when plugged in.

anythin g that may reduce air flow. » U se extra care when c leaning on stair s. » D o not use to pick up flam mable or combusti ble liquids, suc h as petroleum,
or use in are as where they may be pres ent. » D o not pick up toxic materia l (chlorin e bleach, ammon ia, drain cleane r, etc.). » D o not use appliance i n an enclosed spa ce filled with vapou rs given off by
oil-based paint, paint thinner, some moth-proofing substances, flammable
dust, or oth er explosive or toxic vap ours. » D o not pick up hard or sha rp objects such a s glass, nails, s crews, coins, etc. » D o not pick up anythin g that is burning or sm oking, such as ciga rettes,
matches or h ot ashes. » D o not use without fil ters in place. » D o not use outdoors o r on wet surfaces . » C AUTION: In order to avo id a hazard due to inadve rtent resetting o f the
thermal cut-out, this appliance must not be supplied through an external
switching d evice, such as a timer, or conn ected to a circuit that is r egularly
switched on a nd off by the utility.

THIS APPLIANCE HAS A POLARIZED PLUG
To reduce the ris k of electric shock , this appliance ha s a polarized plug (one bl ade is wider than the o ther). This plug will fit in a pola rized outlet only one w ay. If the plug does not fit f ully in the outlet, reve rse the plug. If it st ill does not fit, contact a q ualified elect rician to install a pro per outlet. Do not ch ange the plug in any way.
