» Do not operate the vacuum in a room that has lit

vacuum may accidentally hit or bump.
» Do not allow children to sit on the vacuum.» Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the ON/OFF
switch is in the OFF-position before connecting to
battery pack, picking up or carrying the appliance.
Do not carr y the appliance with your finger on
the switch.
» Disconnect the battery pack from the appliance
before making any adjustments, changing
accessories, or storing appliance. Such preventive
safety measures reduce the risk of starting the
appliance accidentally.
» Recharge only with the charger specified by the
manufacturer. A charger that is suitable for one type
of battery pack may create a risk of fire when used
with another battery pack.
» Use appliances only with specifically designated
battery packs. Use of any other battery packs may
create a risk of injury and fire.
» When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from
other metal object s, like paper clips, coins, keys,
nails, screws or other small metal object s, that can
make a connection from one terminal to another.
Shorting the battery terminals together may cause

Assembly
Getting Started
There are 4 steps to set up your robot:
Step 1: Install the Battery
Step 2: Install the Side Brushes
Step 3: Turn ON the Power Switch on the side of the robot
Step 4: Charge your SmartClean® Connected
WARNING
Do not plug in your robot vacuum until you are familiar with all instructions
and operating procedures.
Step 1: Install the Battery
DO NOT REMOVE THE PLASTIC SHRINK SLEEVE FROM THE BATTERY PACK.

Before installing the
battery, check that the
Power Switch is OFF.
Press down on battery
cover and slide forward to
insert the battery.

Install the battery in the
compartment ensuring
that the +/- terminal of
the battery match the +/indicators in the battery
compartment.
Step 2: Install the Side Brushes
To install the side
brushes, push the
brush into the
holder. You may
hear a “click” that
indicates that the
brush is in place.

Step 3: Turn your SmartClean® Connected ON
MACHINE WILL NOT CHARGE IF THE POWER SWITCH IS OFF.

Insert the adapter plug
directly into the docking
station jack, then plug the

Make sure the Power Switch is ON. Place
the robot on the docking station so that
the contact points on the robot and the
docking station are touching.

When charging begins, ‘00’ will display on
the screen and will start counting up (‘01’,
‘02’, ‘03’…). The battery is fully charged
when the clock icon (between the MODE &
PAIR buttons) is illuminated in green.
To activate low power mode (sleep
mode), put your robot on the docking
station with the Power Switch in the OFF
(O) position. Turn the Power Switch from
OFF to ON (I) six times consecutively,
leaving the robot in the ON position. ‘SP’
will read on the display. The robot will not
function manually or from the app while in
sleep mode. To turn sleep mode OFF, turn
the Power Switch OFF and then back ON.

Getting Ready to Clean
There are 2 options for cleaning:
Option 1: Schedule cleanings using the BISSELL® Connect App
Option 2: Manual cleaning using the robot’s control panel or the
BISSELL Connect App
NOTE: Before using this device, pick up objects like clothing, loose papers, and power
cords. Pull cords for blinds or curtains and ensure any fragile objects are secured.

NOTE: The first time your robot connects to the BISSELL Connect App it will
automatically update to the newest version of firmware available. After that, you may
occasionally be asked to manually update the firmware. However, if a firmware update is
deemed vital to the security or maintenance of your robot, the update will automatically
take place while your robot is connected to the internet.

up process. Follow the prompts on the
App Screen.

Cover, hold the Invisible
Wall and press firmly
while sliding downward to
remove the Batter y Cover.

directions indicated and

The Invisible Wall is used to block
your robot from entering or leaving a
room. Place the Invisible Wall in front
of a room that you intend to block
and do not want the robot to clean.

To turn ON the Invisible
Wall, slide the switch away
from the light towards
the “I” symbol. Wait 10
seconds between turning
it ON or OFF.
NOTE: Indicator light is only ON when robot
approaches sensor path.
TIP: If the robot strays too far away from
the Docking Station, it may not return
automatically. Use the Invisible Wall to keep the
robot within range of the docking station.
TIP: Run time and performance may vary
based on the amount of debris present. Use
the Invisible Wall to limit the allowed range in
messier rooms.

Cleaning the Dust Bin
WARNING
Do not operate robot vacuum with damp or wet Filters, or without Filters or the Dust Bin in place.
Allow components to dry before reassembling the Dust Bin.

Push and then lift the top
cover to open.

Empty the dust and dirt
from the Dust Bin.

Pull up the Dust Bin handle
and take out the Dust Bin
from the cleaner.

Rinse Dust Bin with tap
water. It is not necessary
to wash every time. Do
not machine wash the
Dust Bin. Allow Dust Bin
to fully dry before placing
on unit.

Open the top cover of the
Dust Bin. Unsnap the Dust
Bin Filter.

Lift the Cleaning Tool out
from the lid of the Dust
Bin.

Periodically clean the
Filter with the attached
Cleaning Tool. Do not
wash the Filter.

Once clean, reinstall the
Filter and close the Dust
Bin lid.
Place Dust Bin back in
the cleaner and close top
cover.

Cleaning the Intake
1
After repeated use, dirt and dust can
accumulate around the Intake of the robot
and the working efficiency can be reduced.
To ensure the best efficiency and constant
airflow, the intake should be cleaned
periodically by removing any debris from
the Intake or Brush Roll.
Before cleaning the Intake ensure the robot is
not attached to the Charging Cable or Dock,
and the Power Switch is in the OFF position.

To remove the Brush Roll, lift the Brush
Roll Cover off the unit and slide the Brush
Roll out.

Insert the clean
Brush Roll by fitting
the round end of
the Brush Roll into
the round end
of the Brush Roll
compartment. Push
the round end inward
and fit the opposing
square end of the
Brush Roll into the
square end of the
compartment until it
is securely in place.

Using the Cleaning Tool located in the
Dust Bin lid, remove any hair or debris
from the Brush Roll.

Re-insert the Brush Roll Cover back onto
the unit.

Cleaning the Sensors
After repeated use, dirt and dust can
accumulate on the Sensors of the robot and
the working efficiency can be reduced.
To ensure the best efficiency, the Sensors
should be cleaned off periodically by brushing
any dirt or debris from them.
Before cleaning the Sensors, ensure the robot
is not attached to the Charging Cable or Dock
and the Power Switch is in the OFF position.
Cleaning the Side Brushes
NOTE: After being used for a period of time, the Brushes need to be cleaned to work
more eectively.

Turn OFF the Power Switch, and make sure
the unit is unplugged. Place bottom of the
cleaner upward on a flat surface. Hold the
Brush bristle and pull upward to remove
the Brush.

The Side Brushes can be rinsed and if
they become crooked, you can soak
them in hot water to make them return to
the original shape. Replace the brushes
after they have completely dried.
