Important instructions
Please note that any repair work that is not described in this operating manual in more detail must be done by the authorised dealer or by Bischoff & Bischoff (referred to below as B+B) only.
It is also important to note that the scooter is designed for a maximum load of 100 kg and this must not be exceeded.
Checking the delivery
All B+B scooters are given a final inspection before they leave our factory and the CE mark is attached. The Agil scooter is delivered in 2 cartons.
If the scooter is delivered by rail or road transport it must be inspected immediately for transport damage in the pre­sence of the delivery person.
If any damage is found, please note the following:
• record the facts
• prepare a declaration of assignment; all demands resulting from the damage are assigned to the delivery company
• send the statement of facts, the waybill and the declaration of assignment to Bischoff & Bischoff GmbH.

2. Delivery
Your B+B Agil scooter is delivered in two cartons (chassis and seat).
To make it as easy as possible for you to handle your scooter, we have included detailed instructions in writing and also detailed illustrations. You can find the names of the various modules and how they fit together in the picture below.

1. Turn the key clockwise.
2. When the function LED lights, this means that your scooter is ready for use.
3. When the battery status display is in the green area, the battery has sufficient charge. If it is in the yellow area, the battery must be charged. If it is in the red area, the scooter must not be used and the battery must be charged.
4. You can control the speed by rotating the speed control clockwise to go faster and rotating the same control anticlockwise to go more slowly.
5. Press the left-hand lever forward to move forwards. Press the right-hand lever forward to move backwards.
6. A warning signal automatically sounds when you move backwards.
7. Press the horn to sound it.

5. The seat
Adjusting the height of the seat
The seat can be set to one of four heights.To adjust the height open the clamp under the seat and pull the locking pin out.

Rotation
Place your left hand under the seat. Hold the lever and pull it up as far as it will go. You can now rotate the seat 45° in either direction until it locks. Release the lever and make sure that the seat has been correctly and securely positioned.
Adjusting the height of the back
• Loosen the two thumb screws
• Adjust the back section to the desired position and hold it in place
• Tighten the two thumb screws again.
Seat width adjustment
• Loosen the thumb screw.
• Move the armrest to the desired position
• Tighten the thumb screw.

Caution! When pulling the locking pin hold the seat until it reaches the desired position. Do not jam your fingers.

6. The steering column
Positioning the steering column
• Hold the steering column with one hand and the thumb screw with the other hand.
• Loosen the screw and move the steering column to the desired position.
• Tighten the thumb screw and move the steering column to make sure that it is tight.
The arm rests can be folded back to make it easier for the user to sit on and leave the seat.
8. The back rest
The back rest of your Orbis scooter can be folded forward a maximum of 75°.
A basket is included as standard equipment with your scooter.

Scooter stops suddenly
• Check the battery; if it is flat, it should be recharged immediately.
• If you are climbing a long and steep incline (greater than 12%), your scooter may stop suddenly. (Cause: electrical current and overload protection). Wait 2 minutes and then press the power feed button, which is at the back under the battery cover.
• If a surface is rough or uneven, check the battery and other connections.
Problem when driving the scooter
• Check that the battery is charged.
• Check that the clutch switch is in the correct position.
• Check the electrical connections.
• In serious cases you should inform your dealer.

Everything you should know about the battery and charging it.
Our product is an electronic replaceable charging module. It has been developed for electric vehicles that are powered by non-lead-acid batteries. Please follow the above directions and instructions and be careful when riding your scooter on public roads.
Features
• The connection to the battery is automatically checked.
• The lead-free battery is charged automatically and is maintenance-free.
• As soon as the battery is charged, this is displayed by the monitor.
• To avoid overloading the batteries, you should start slowly and gradually accelerate until you have reached the normal voltage.
• It is compact, portable and light-weight.
• After the charging phase the battery is automatically tested.
• The battery is charged via a low voltage until it reaches its normal voltage and continues with a fast charging process to protect the battery.

To be able to push the scooter manually, pull the clutch switch upwards. This is necessary if the battery is flat.
Please follow the steps below:
• Before switching on the battery charger check that the power supply is 115V or 230V.
• Please set the AC power switch to "0" before charging the battery.
• Once you have done this, switch the AC switch to “I”. The fan will switch on and the LED display will show the red and yellow light (see Fig. 14), and the normal charging process starts. If you see irregular signals, switch the device off and repeat steps 1-4 and start charging again.
• Charging takes approx. 5 to 6.5 hours. When charging is complete, a green light will appear.
Please note the following items
• Please make sure that you charge your scooter on dry ground only.
• Incorrect voltage and batteries are hazardous and may damage the battery.
• Switch the charger module to “O” before connecting the charger cable to the battery.
• Do not expose charger to from rain, water or steam.
• Please contact your dealer if the charger module still shows "yellow" after charging for more than 12 hours.

For easy transport the chassis can be disassembled into two main sections
• Remove the seat as described in section 5 (height adjustment)
• Remove the battery - press the red locking lever forward and pull the battery upwards out of the chassis at the same time.
• Remove basket
• To detach the front section of the chassis from the rear section, release the clamping lever and pull it back. Pull the front section and the drive section apart.
• To move the steering column back, release the thumb screw as shown in section 6 until the steering lock is positioned in the steering column. Tighten the thumb screw again.

We recommend the following instructions for care to ensure that you can enjoy your scooter for a long time:
Before and after using it
• Check the battery charge. If the display is in the red section, the battery must be charged.
• Check the tyre pressure.
• After travelling in the rain, wipe the scooter dry to prevent corrosion.
Maintenance checks at least every six weeks:
• Check that the steering moves smoothly.
• Check the plug connectors to make sure that they are tightly seated.
• Check that all accessible screws are tightly fastened.
If the scooter is not being used, the battery must be char­ged at least every three months to maintain the batteries.
Other instructions
• Check the tyre tread.
• If it is necessary to replace the battery (water-free), please contact your health care dealer.
• The scooter transmission is maintenance-free. However, if any problems are encountered (such as oil leaks etc.), please contact our customer service or your health care dealer.

The warranty covers all defects of the scooter that can be confirmed to be the result of material or manufacturing defects.
If you make a claim under the warranty, please submit the completed warranty certificate with the claim.
The warranty will only apply if the vehicle is used for stan­dard travel. The warranty does not cover damage resulting from accident or problems that can be attributed to lack of care and careless driving.

Caution!
Non-observance of the operating manual and incorrectly performed maintenance work and particularly technical modifications and additions (attachments) done without the approval of Bischoff & Bischoff will result in the cancellation of the warranty and any general product liability.
