SAFETY MEASURES
When using your appliance, the following basic
safety precautions should always be followed:
To avoid electric shocks, X do not immerse the
appliance, plug or power cord in water or any other liquids. Do not place the appliance
where it could come into contact with water or
other liquids. Do not use the machine again until it has been serviced by an authorized service center. Do not let children use the appliance without supervision. X This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including X children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliances by a person responsible for their safety.
If the power cord plug does not fit to your wall socket, X consult a qualified electrician. Use of various adapters may result in damage to the X appliance and termination of warranty.
Always supervise the appliance while in use. X
Always unplug before moving the appliance from one X place to another, cleaning and storing.
Never pull the cord to disconnect the appliance, instead grasp X the plug and pull it to disconnect. Do not allow the cord or the machine itself to come in contact with X hot surfaces. Position the appliance and the cord so that nobody can X accidentally overturn it. Do not use the appliance if it has been dropped, or it has a X damaged power cord or plug. Do not modify or repair the machine yourself. Do not dismantle the appliance as improper assembly might result X in an electric shock during the subsequent use of the equipment. Repairs should only be done by authorized service centers. X This equipment is intended for household use only, not for X commercial or industrial use. Please follow all the requirements of this guide. X Do not use the appliance if it has mechanical defects (dents, cracks X etc.), get it checked by the nearest authorized service center. To avoid mechanical defects and damage, take care during the X appliance transportation.
IMPORTANT SAFETY MEASURES
Make sure that the water level is between the X minimum and maximum level before turning the kettle on. Do not overfill the kettle; otherwise it can overflow while boiling. Please, remember that the minimum water level should be higher than the minimum allowed level. Do not touch the hot surfaces of the appliance. X
Do not touch the outer surfaces of the kettle with the exception of the heat insulated handle, when water is boiling or with hot water inside the device. Allow kettle to cool prior to cleaning and storing. X Disconnect the appliance from the electricity supply before stor- X age, filling it with water/emptying it or moving it from one place to another. The appliance should always be placed on and used on a heat X resistant, horizontal and dry surface. To avoid being burnt by hot vapor always close the lid tightly X before use. Avoid exposure to hot vapor. WARNING! Never
open the lid immediately before or after boiling temperature is reached.
The kettle is protected against overheating and if switched on X without water, an automatic safety cut out device will switch it off. If the safety device is activated, allow the kettle to cool down prior to boiling water in it. The kettle will not switch on if it’s too hot. WARNING! Frequent switching the kettle on with-
out water might result in the safety device failure, that is why prior to switching the kettle on always check the water level. Always make sure the water level in the kettle is not too low.
Always switch the kettle off prior to lifting it from the base. X Use the kettle only with the supplied base. X Do not fill a hot kettle with cold water or vice versa. X WARNING!
Avoid sharp temperature fluctuations when filling the kettle with water.
Connect the device only to an electrical supply with a protective X earthing. If your socket has no protective earthing, contact a qualified specialist. Do not modify the plug and do not use cord adapters. WARNING! Electric shocks might occur if the
kettle is plugged into an unearthed power supply.
Clean the heating element of the kettle often to de-scale it. X Remember that use of a heavily scaled kettle might result in its malfunction. WARNING! De-scale the kettle using only
specially designed cleaning agents.
Before turning the kettle on, make sure that the lid is closed; X otherwise the kettle will not turn off after boiling. After use of the appliance, the base of the kettle might be wet. It is X a normal condition of operation, caused by escaping steam, used to activate the kettle’s automatic turning off function. Do not tilt the filled kettle backwards, since water can spill through X the steam vent. If this happens, the kettle should be wiped before turning it on. Do not take the electric cord out of the socket during operation of X the appliance. You should first turn it off.

make sure that there are no foreign items in it.
Wash internal surface of kettle with warm soapy water, rinse carefully and wipe dry. In case of unusual odor fill the kettle up to a maximum level with vinegar solution (1 element of 9 % vinegar per 20 elements of water), let the kettle soak for an hour. Then wash out the kettle with tap water,
boil water in the kettle and pour it out.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Place the kettle with power base on dry 1. horizontal surface. Take the kettle off the base 2. (8), open the lid (2) by pushing the button (3) and fill the kettle with water. Make sure the water level stays between the 3. minimum and the maximum marks on the water

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
Before cleaning or storing disconnect the ket-1. tle from the mains supply and wait till it cools completely. The optimal range of surrounding temperature is from 5 to 50°С. To avoid electrical shock, do not place the 2. body of the kettle (1), its base (10) and elec-
trical cord in water. These parts of the appliance can be cleaned with the help of a damp lint free cloth. You can use non-abrasive cleansers. To clean the filter 3. USEFUL RECOMMENDATIONS
In regions with high water hardness it is necessary to remove scale from the appliance regularly to keep it in good working order, since excessive scale in the appliance may cause its incorrect operation or breakdown. Frequency of cleaning depends on the degree of tap water hardness in your region and on frequency of the kettle use (for example, one cleaning
after 200 times of use). If water in your house is hard, we recommend filtering it – it will decrease scale deposit.
2 ways to remove scale:
Using 9% white vinegar:
– Fill the kettle with 0.5 l of hot water and add 2 table-spoons of 9% white vinegar. – Let the kettle soak for 1 hour without boiling. – Stir the liquid in the kettle from time to time. – Pour out the liquid and wash it out 2–3 times with cold clean water.
With the help of citric acid:
– Mix 25 g of citric acid and 0.5 l of hot water in the kettle. – Leave the kettle for 15 minutes. – Regularly stir the solution.
Pour the solution out of the kettle and rinse it two or three times X with cold tap water. Repeat the procedure if necessary. X Any other works should be performed in the authorized service
center.
Do not store the appliance if it is hot or connected to the
network.
If you do not use the appliance, put it in a box after cooling and
store in a safe, dry place, out of children’s reach.
