SAFETY MEASURES
When using your appliance, the following basic
safety precautions should always be followed: Before using for the first time, check that the appliance voltage is the same as your local supply. Only use the appliance for the purposes stipu­lated by the instructions.

the plug and pull it to disconnect.
Do not allow the cord or the machine itself to come in contact
with hot surfaces.
Position the equipment and the cord so that nobody can acci-
dentally overturn the equipment.
Do not use the appliance if it has been dropped, or it has a
damaged power cord or plug. Do not modify or repair the machine yourself.
Do not dismantle the appliance as improper assembly might
result in an electric shock during the subsequent use of the equipment. Repairs should only be done by authorized service centers.
Do not use the appliance where the air may contain volatile
flammable substances.
This equipment is intended for household use only, not for
commercial or industrial use.

cracks etc.), get it checked by the nearest authorized service center.

SPECIAL SAFETY MEASURES
Only place the heated or connected appliance on an even, dry, heat-resistant surface. Do not allow foreign objects between the heated parts of the appliance, as this can cause electrical shock. Never cover the appliance or put it on soft surfaces, for example, a bed etc.
Avoid direct contact of the hot parts of the appliance with the
skin of the head.
Do not use this appliance near a bath, sink or other places
where there is liquid.
For additional protection it is advisable to install a residual cur-
rent device (RCD) having a rated tripping current of not more than 30 mA into the mains circuit of the bathroom. Consult a qualified electrician for help.
Always disconnect the appliance from the electricity supply
immediately after its use.
Do not use the appliance when you are sleepy or sluggish.To prevent cord damage, never wind the cord round the ap-
pliance.
Never use the appliance on wet hair.Never use the appliance for curling wigs made from synthetic
hair.
Do not use the appliance, if you have severely damaged hair.Do not keep the appliance on one area of hair for more than
10 seconds.

BEFORE USING
THE APPLIANCE
Wipe the case of the appliance and the work­ing surface with slightly damp soft cloth. Only use the appliance for styling dry hair. To achieve the optimum effect use hair styling products.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Plug the straightener into the mains electric­ity supply and set the switch (3) in position “I”. The indicator light (4) will light up. Select the heat setting with a help of the «min/max» switch depending on the type of your hair and the desired result. Allow the appliance to heat up

Placer l’appareil et le câble de façon à éviter le basculement
accidentel.
Ne pas utiliser l’appareil si le câble ou la fiche de contact est
endommagé. N’essayez pas de réparer l’appareil vous-même. Le remplacement du câble électrique et de la fiche de contact doit être effectué par un centre de maintien agréé.
