Only use attachments supplied with the equipment. To avoid electric shocks, do not immerse the appliance,
plug or power cord in water or any other liquids. Do not place the appliance where it could come into contact with water or other liquids. If the appliance comes in contact with water, immediately disconnect it from the mains. Do not use the machine again until it has been serviced by an autho-

IMPORTANT SAFETY
MEASURES
Make sure that the water level is between the
minimum and maximum level before turning the kettle on. Do not overfill the kettle; otherwise it can overflow while boiling. Please, remember that the minimum water level should be higher than the minimum allowed level.
Do not touch the hot surfaces of the appliance.
Do not touch the outer surfaces of the kettle with the exception of the heat insulated handle, when water is boiling or with hot water inside the device.
Allow kettle to cool prior to cleaning and storing.Disconnect the appliance from the electricity supply before
storage, filling it with water/emptying it or moving it from one place to another.
The appliance should always be placed on and used on a heat
resistant, horizontal and dry surface.
To avoid being burnt by hot vapor always close the lid tightly
before use. Avoid exposure to hot vapor. WARNING! Never
open the lid immediately before or after boiling temperature is reached.
The kettle is protected against overheating and if switched on
without water, an automatic safety cut out device will switch it off. If the safety device is activated, allow the kettle to cool down prior to boiling water in it. The kettle will not switch on if it s too hot. WARNING! Frequent switching the kettle
on without water might result in the safety device failure, that is why prior to switching the kettle on always check the water level. Always make sure the water level in the kettle is not too low.
Always switch the kettle off prior to lifting it from the base.Use the kettle only with the supplied base.Do not fill a hot kettle with cold water or vice versa. WARN-
ING! Avoid sharp temperature fluctuations when filling the kettle with water.
Connect the device only to an electrical supply with a protective
earthing. If your socket has no protective earthing, contact a qualified specialist. Do not modify the plug and do not use cord adapters. WARNING! Electric shocks might occur if the
kettle is plugged into an unearthed power supply.
Clean the heating element of the kettle often to de-scale it.
Remember that use of a heavily scaled kettle might result in its malfunction. WARNING! De-scale the kettle using only
specially designed cleaning agents.
Before turning the kettle on, make sure that the lid is closed;
otherwise the kettle will not turn off after boiling.
After use of the appliance, the base of the kettle might be wet.
It is a normal condition of operation, caused by escaping steam, used to activate the kettle s automatic turning off function.
Do not tilt the filled kettle backwards, since water can spill
through the steam vent. If this happens, the kettle should be wiped before turning it on.

an empty kettle.
8. When pouring water from the kettle tilt it slightly and gradually. Do not forget it holds hot water inside.
9. If the water-cools down, and you wish to boil it or heat it again, just switch the kettle on again.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
1. Unplug the kettle and wait until it cools down completely before cleaning or storing.
2. In order to avoid electric shocks, do not immerse the kettle’s housing (1), its base (7) and electric cord into water. These components of the device can be cleaned with a slightly damp cloth without cleaning fluids.
3. In order to clean the filter (3) remove it and wash with running
water. The filter needs to be washed irrespective of scale formation on it.
4. Refit all the parts when they are completely dry.
5. In hard water areas it is important to do the descaling regularly to keep the kettle in good working condition, because too much scale inside may cause the kettle not to work. For the best performance of your kettle, decalcify the unit from time to time. The frequency depends on the hardness of your tap water and how many times you have used the kettle (e.g. once for 200 uses). If the water in your house is hard we advise you to use filtered water as it will slightly decrease scale formation.
2 methods of decalcification:
Using 9% white vinegar:
– Fill the kettle with 0.5 liter of hot water and add 2 table-
spoons of 9% white vinegar. – Let the kettle soak for 1 hour without boiling. – Stir the liquid in the kettle from time to time. – Pour out the liquid and wash it out 2-3 times with cold clean
water.
With the help of citric acid:
– Mix 25 g of citric acid and 0.5 l of hot water in the kettle. – Leave the kettle for 15 minutes. – Regularly stir the solution. – Pour the solution out of the kettle and rinse it two or three
times with cold tap water. – Repeat the procedure if necessary. Any other servicing should be performed only by an autho-
rized service center.
The appliance should not be stored while hot or plugged in.
When not in use, allow the kettle to cool, then put it back into the box and store out of reach of children in a safe, dry place.
