Connect an RJ-45 Ethernet cable

to the WAN port on the BiGuard 50G, connect the other end to an ADSL or cable modem or another router.
Connect switches, hubs, and

servers to the LAN ports on the BiGuard 50G.
Connect the power adapter cable to

the DC 12V connector on the BiGuard 50G. Connect the power adapter to an electrical outlet.
After the power is connected. The

LEDs will all blink and after a couple of seconds LEDs will all blink again. Soon after the status LED light will turn off and BiGuard 50G will be ready for operation.

You can configure and manage the BiGuard 50G with the Web Manager. The Web Manager is a web-based inter­face that you can access from any web browser.
In the Address field of your Web

browser, type the default IP address: “192.168.1.254”

A Security Alert screen appears.

Click Yes to continue. The login screen appears.

Then click OK. The Web Manager opens on the Status menu.

To configure the WAN for PPPoE, you need the following information from your ISP provider and since BiGuard 50G is Dual WAN, you can choose either WAN1 or WAN2 to complete the following setup:
User name Password DNS (if necessary)
(contact your ISP for more information)
Click Quick Start in the Menu bar.

Click Quick Star WAN1 or WAN2.

The Quick Start WAN screen opens.
Select PPPoE

Click Apply to confirm the settings.

To configure the WAN for static IP, you will need the following information from your ISP provider. You can set up to 4 static IPs all at once

Click Quick Start in the Menu bar.

Select Static IP from the Protocol

Type the IP address in the IP as- signed by your ISP field.
