15324/15424RTF Streamline Oval Air Cleaner.

Supplies Needed: RTV Silicone 3/32” Allen Key #271 Red Loctite® Thread Locker.

Prep and finish Air Cleaner Top and Base as needed.

Remove polished trim piece and wing nut from packaging.

Place one external tooth lock washer on each 8-32 X 1/4” button head cap screw.

Apply #271 Red Loctite® to the threads of each 8-32 button head cap screw.

Place polished trim piece on Air Cleaner Top and seat into recesses. Install 8-32 button head cap screws and washers through Air Cleaner Top and into trim piece. Do Not Over-Tighten!

Allow Loctite® to cure for a minimum of 1 hour before proceeding to the next step.

Finish polished trim installation by applying a liberal Dab of RTV silicone encasing each button head and washer to the Air Cleaner Top (see caption for example). Allow RTV to fully cure before installing the Air Cleaner.

Air Cleaner Installation; Install Air Cleaner stud assembly into carburator and adjust to proper height. Tighten jamb nuts securely. Install Air Cleaner Base, Element and Top. Finish by threading wing nut to secure Air Cleaner to carb.
