GENERAL INFORMATION
Volume: the BIELMEIER boiler pot holds a
volume of 29 L. The max imum allowed liquid
level is 4 cm below the upper r im.
The boiler pot can be used for many other
purposes besides brewing beer: preserving,
heating in a water bath, prepar ing hot drinks,
cooking, reheating, b lanching vegetables etc.
Liquids containing sugar or st arch tend to burn
on to the vessel. When heating such liquids,
constant stirring is necessary.
In the event that your boiler p ot boils dry, a built-
in circuit breaker will protect the heating element from overheating. Allow th e appliance to
cool down completely before adding any liquid.
If you add liquid to the hot, dr y vessel, there is a
danger of scalding by steam , and a risk of damage (deformation) to the bottom of th e vessel.
For reasons of hygiene, you should bo il some
water (around 6 litres) in the boiler pot be fore
using it for the rst time. To do so, set the the rmostat to (4) "
".
The boiler pot may p roduce a slight smell on rst

operation for a short while.
The malt mill can also be use d to produce our
and crush grains for cereal. Never w ash the mill
(18) with water or detergents!
