Anwendungen
Das Opus 89 eignet sich speziell zur Nahabnahme von Gesang
(Leadsänger, besonders von Rockgruppen), Musikinstrumenten
und Lautsprecherboxen bei Live-Auftritten. Das Opus 89 kann als
Handmikrofon oder stativgebunden eingesetzt werden.
Inbetriebnahme
• Zur Vermeidung von Poppgeräuschen halten Sie das Mikrofon
schräg unterhalb vom Mund.
• Durch den Nahbesprechungseffekt ändern sich Klang und
Lautstärke mit der Entfernung zum Mund.
• Aufgrund der Hypernierencharakteristik ist das Mikrofon sehr
rückkopplungsarm. Um maximale Rückkopplungssicherheit zu
erreichen, sollte die Monitorbox in einem Winkel von ca. 110°
zur Mikrofonlängsachse stehen.
• Zum Lieferumfang gehört die Mikrofonklammer MKV 8 für
Stative mit 3/8"-Gewinde. Für Stative mit 5/8"-Gewinde können
Sie den Gewindeeinsatz herausschrauben.
Pflege
Zum Reinigen von Mikrofonschaft und Mikrofonkorb nehmen Sie
ein feuchtes, weiches Tuch. Bei Bedarf können Sie ein mildes
Reinigungsmittel (z.B. Geschirrspülmittel) verwenden, auf keinen
Fall jedoch lösemittelhaltige Reiniger. Achten Sie darauf, dass
keine Flüssigkeit in das Mikrofon läuft.
Spätestens wenn Ihr Mikrofon dumpf klingt, sollten Sie den integrierten Schaumstoffpoppschutz reinigen:
1. Mikrofonkorb gegen den
Uhrzeigersinn abschrauben.
2. Schaumstoffpoppschutz
herausnehmen (evtl. mit
einer Pinzette).
4. Trockenen Poppschutz wieder so in den Mikrofonkorb einsetzen, daß dieser vollständig ausgekleidet wird. Mikrofonkorb
im Uhrzeigersinn wieder festschrauben.
Anschluss
Das Opus 89 ist mit einem 3-poligen XLR-Anschlussstecker ausgestattet. Sie können es an jeden Mikrofoneingang anschließen.
Zur besseren Signalübertragung sollten Sie symmetrische Kabel
verwenden.
Service
Im Servicefall wenden Sie sich bitte an autorisiertes Fachpersonal.
Öffnen Sie das Mikrofon auf keinen Fall selbst, Sie könnten sonst
alle Garantieansprüche verlieren.

PRODUCT INFORMATION - OPUS 89
Thank you for selecting the Opus 89 dynamic microphone. Please
take some time to read carefully through this product information
before using the microphone.
Applications
The Opus 89 is designed for close miking vocals (lead vocalists,
particularly in rock bands), musical instruments and speaker cabinets.
The Opus 89 can be used handheld or on a stand with the supplied
microphone clamp.
Setting up
• In order to avoid “pop” sounds hold the microphone below the
mouth at a slight angle.
• Due to the close-talking effect, the miking distance between
the microphone and your mouth can make a difference in
sound and volume.
• The Opus 89 features a hypercardioid polar pattern and a high-
gain-before feedback. In order to achieve maximum gainbefore-feedback, the monitor box should be at an angle of
110° to the longitudinal axis of the microphone.
• Supply of the Opus 89 includes the MKV 8 microphone clamp
for stands with 3/8" thread. For stands with 5/8" thread
unscrew the 3/8"-thread insertion piece.
Maintenance
For cleaning of the microphone shaft and basket use a soft, damp
cloth. If necessary use a mild cleansing agent (such as washing-up
liquid), no solvent agents and take care not to allow any water
drops into the microphone.
If your microphone sounds dull, you should clean the integrated
foam pop shield:
1. Unscrew the microphone
basket counter clockwise.
2. Remove the foam pop shield
(use tweezers if necessary).
4. Place the dry pop shield inside the microphone basket and
screw the microphone basket clockwise.
Connection
The Opus 89 is equipped with a 3-pin XLR-plug. The microphone
can be connected to any microphone input. For best results we
recommend the use of balanced microphone cables into a balanced
microphone input.
Service
Servicing must be carried out by qualified service personnel only.
Dismantling the microphone yourself will invalidate the guarantee.

de beyerdynamic et vous remercions de votre confiance. Veuillez
lire attentivement ces informations produit avant de la mise en
marche du microphone.
Applications
L’Opus 89 a été conçu spécialement pour la prise de son de proximité des voix (aux chanteurs solistes et particulièrement aux groupes de rock), d’instruments et d’amplis guitare. Le Opus 89 s’utilise aussi bien tenu en main que fixé sur un pied de sol.
Mise en marche
• Pour réduire le risque d’effets «Pop» nous vous conseillons de
tenir le microphone légèrement incliné sous la bouche.
• Grâce à son effet de proximité le son et l’intensité du son chan-
gent avec la distance à la bouche.
• L’Opus 89 dispose d’une directivité hypercardioïde et il n’est
pas sensible au Larsen. Il est important de veiller à ce que le
moniteurs de retour soient placés à un angle d’environ 110° par
rapport à l’axe longitudinal du microphone.
• L’Opus 89 est livré avec la pince de microphone MKV 8 pour des
pieds de sol avec filetage 3/8". Le filetage est démontable pour
permettre l’utilisation d’un pied de sol avec filetage 5/8".
Entretien
Utilisez un tissu doux humidifié pour nettoyer le corps et la grille
de protection du microphone. Si nécessaire, vous pouvez ajouter
un produit vaiselle, mais n’utilisez jamais des dissolvants; veillez à
ce que toute pénétration de l’eau dans le microphone soit évité.
Si la sonorité du microphone devient étouffé, il faut nettoyer
l’écran anti-pop intégré.
1. Dévissez la grille de protection
du microphone en sens inverse
des aiguilles d’une montre.
2. Enlevez les mousses de protection anti-pop (à l’aide d’une
petite pince, si nécessaire).
4. Placez les mousses complètement sèches dans la grille de protection du microphone et vissez ensuite la grille de protection
dans le sens des aiguilles d’une montre.
Branchement
L’Opus 89 est muni d’un connecteur XLR à 3 broches permettant la
connexion à n’importe quel type d’entrée de microphone. Pour
optimiser la transmission de signal, nous recommandons d’utiliser
des câbles symétriques.

En cas de nécessité veuillez vous adresser à un technicien beyerdynamic autorisé. N’ouvrez jamais le microphone, vous risquerez
sinon de perdre vous droits de garantie.
