Sie haben sich für den dynamischen Studiohörer DT 100/
102 bzw. für die dynamische Hör-Sprechgarnitur DT 108/109
entschieden. Wir danken für Ihr Vertrauen.
Nehmen Sie sich bitte einige Minuten Zeit und lesen Sie diese
Bedienungsanleitung vor Inbetriebnahme aufmerksam durch.
Charakteristik
DT 100 / DT 102
Der geschlossene Studiohörer DT 100/102 bietet eine
gute Isolation von Außengeräuschen. Er ist daher ideal für
Tonstudios, bei Rundfunk, Film und Fernsehen. Der DT 102 ist
die einohrige Ausführung des DT 100.
Auswechselbare, weiche Ohr- und Kopfpolster bieten einen
hohen Langzeit-Tragekomfort. Die Anschlusskabel zu den Hörmuscheln sind geschützt im Kopfbügel geführt. Das Hauptanschlusskabel ist steckbar und wird einseitig geführt.
DT 108 / DT 109
wie DT 100/102, jedoch mit dynamischem Mikrofon in
Hypernierencharakteristik. Die Hör-Sprechgarnitur DT 108/109
können Sie für Reportageeinsätze bei Rundfunk und Fernsehen
sowie als Kommunikationseinheit an Fernsehkameras oder in
Intercomsystemen bei Konzertveranstaltungen einsetzen.
Der DT 108 ist die einohrige Ausführung des DT 109.
Anschluss
Der Studiohörer DT 100/102 und die Hör-Sprechgar-
nitur DT 108/109 werden mit Anschlusskabel geliefert. Die zusätzlichen Kabel sind unter „Optionales Zubehör“ aufge-führt.
Wenn Sie am Lahnleiterkabel K 100.00 die Stecker selbst montieren
möchten, empfehlen wir, die Litzen mit Aderendhülsen zu versehen und diese dann vorsichtig an die Steckerstifte zu löten,
sonst kann der Nylonfaden beim Löten leicht schmelzen und
brüchig werden. Stecker sollten deshalb nur vom Fachmann
angelötet werden. Bei allen anderen Kabeln mit freien Enden
können die Stecker direkt an das Kabel gelötet werden (Anschlussbelegung siehe „Blockschaltbild“). Auf Wunsch werden
die benötigten Stecker auch im Werk montiert.

Anwendung
Schließen Sie den Studiohörer DT 100/102 bzw. die Hör-
Sprechgarnitur DT 108/109 nur an hochwertige Geräte mit der
entsprechenden Impedanz und Belastbarkeit an. Weitere
Informationen finden Sie in den „Technischen Daten“.
Bei der Hör-Sprechgarnitur DT 108/109 ist das Mikrofon ab
Werk links montiert. Das Anschlusskabel zum Mikrofon ist verdeckt im Kopfbügel geführt. Bei Bedarf können Sie die Mikrohalterung ummontieren, so dass Sie das Mikrofon auch rechts
tragen können.
Schraube fest anziehen und Kappe auf Drehkopf aufstecken.
Wird der Kopfhörer im Stereobetrieb benutzt, sollten im Stecker die Anschlussdrähte für links und rechts getauscht werden
(siehe „Blockschaltbild“), d.h. braun/orange (links) gegen
rot/blau (rechts). Außerdem können die Deckel für L + R Kennzeichnung getauscht werden.
Das Mikrofon sollten Sie im Abstand von 2 - 3 cm neben dem
Mundwinkel plazieren. So werden Poppgeräusche minimiert.

Wichtig
Wenn Sie die Anschlusskabel zu den Hörmuscheln im
Kopfbügel selbst austauschen möchten, beachten Sie, dass die
Kabel bei den älteren Versionen der DT 100-Serie mit Schraubkontakten versehen sind. Die Anschlusskabel bei den neueren
Versionen dagegen sind gelötet.
Bitte achten Sie darauf, dass Sie im Servicefall die richtigen
Kabel bestellen.
Pflege
Aus hygienischen Gründen sollten Sie den Kopfhörer
von Zeit zu Zeit mit einem weichen, feuchten Tuch reinigen.
Verwenden Sie nur milde Reinigungsmittel (Geschirrspülmittel), auf keinen Fall lösemittelhaltige Reiniger. Achten Sie
darauf, dass kein Wasser in die Wandler läuft.
Den Poppschutz der Hör-Sprechgarnitur DT 108 /109 können
Sie im warmen Wasser spülen. Achten Sie beim Einsetzen bzw.
Aufsetzen auf das Mikrofon darauf, dass der Poppschutz vollständig trocken ist.
Die modulare Bauweise von DT 100 /102, DT 108 /109 ist
besonders servicefreundlich, denn alle Teile können leicht ausgewechselt werden. Die Ersatzteile finden Sie mit der dazugehörigen Bestellnummer unter „Ersatzteile“.
Im Servicefall wenden Sie sich bitte an autorisiertes Fachpersonal.
Sicherheitshinweis
Wenn Sie den Studiohörer DT 100/102 oder die Hör-
Sprechgarnitur DT 108/109 an Ihren Verstärker anschließen,
achten Sie darauf, dass die Lautstärke (Volume) zunächst auf
Minimum gedreht ist. Regeln Sie die Lautstärke erst nach
Aufsetzen des Kopfhörers.
Im allgemeinen wird mit Kopfhörern lauter abgehört als mit
Lautsprechern. Hohe Lautstärken können, sofern sie über längere Zeit auf das Ohr einwirken, zu dauerhaften Hörschäden
führen. Schonen Sie Ihr gesundes Gehör - auch bei niedriger
Lautstärke haben beyerdynamic-Kopfhörer ihren vollen Klang.

Thank you for selecting the DT 100/102 dynamic studio
headphone or the DT 108/109 dynamic headset. Please take
some time to read carefully through this operating instructions
before setting up the equipment.
Design Features
DT 100 / DT 102
The DT 100/102 are fully enclosed dynamic studio head-
phones with excellent ambient noise attenuation. They are
ideal for use in broadcasting, film and recording studios.
The DT 100 is a double-sided headphone while the DT 102 is the
single-side version.
The headband and earphone cushioning has been carefully
designed for maximum comfort during long periods of listening.
The connecting cables to the ear monitors run safely in the
headband and the main connecting cable is terminated on one
side with a multi-pin connector.
DT 108 / DT 109
The DT 108/109 are the same as the DT 100/102 head-
phones, with the addition of a dynamic hypercardioid microphone. The DT 108/109 headset is used for intercom and talkback systems as well as other applications where a dynamic
microphone headset is required.
The DT 109 is a double-sided headset while the DT 108 is the
single-side version.
Connection
The DT 100/102 studio headphones and the DT 108/109
headsets are packed with connecting cable,
depending upon
your specification. For further connecting
cables, please refer to
“Optional Accessories”.
The K 100.00 connecting cable is built using a tinsel-conductor
cord. This type of conductor resists repetitive bending without
breaking, yet special care must be taken when making solder
joints to connectors. Wherever possible it is recommended to
fit crimped brass sleeves to the conductors and then solder the

sleeve to the connector. If direct solder connections have
to be
made, use a high-temperature solder-pot to tin the tinsel
conductors before making the solder joint to the connector,
but be careful that the nylon thread does not melt. Direct
solder connections can be made to all other bare-ended cables
(for cable connections, please refer to “Wiring Diagram”). On
request, the necessary plugs can be fitted when the order is
placed.
Operation
The DT 100/102 studio headphone and the DT 108/109
headset are professional products. It is important that the
external equipment they are connected to is of similar quality
and has the correct impedance and power ratings to achieve the
best performance. Please refer to the “Technical Specifications”
for detailed information.
Convention states that when using the DT 108/109 the boom
microphone is placed over the left ear. The microphone can be
used from the right ear, but if true L and R headphone status
needs to be maintained, it will be necessary to make a custom
lead with the headphone connections reversed (swap brown/
orange on the left side and red/blue on the right side). For
connections refer please to “Block Diagram”.

The microphone should be positioned to the side of the mouth,
about 20 - 30 mm forward. This will keep it within the direct
sound path, but out of the breath stream, therefore minimising
any ‘pop’ sounds.
Important
Please note that there have been two versions of ear cup
connecting cables used during production. The older DT 100
models have a cable with screw terminal contacts whereas later
versions have soldered connections. Please make sure the
correct cable version is requested when ordering.
Maintenance
To keep the headband and earpads clean use a damp
cloth with a gentle cleansing agent (such as washing-up liquid).
Make sure not to allow any water to enter the transducer
elements. Do not use any solvent cleaners.
The microphone pop-shield of the DT 108/109 headset can be
easily removed and washed in warm water. Please take care
that the pop-shield is completely dry before it is replaced.
The fully modular design of the DT 100/102 and the DT 108/109
allows field replacement servicing without the need for
specialist tools. The order numbers of the spare parts are listed
under “Spares”.
In the unlikely event of equipment failure, the product should
be returned to your beyerdynamic dealer.
Safety
We strongly recommend that the headphone or head-
set is plugged into the drive amplifier before you put them on.
This will give the technician the chance to check that the
volume levels are not too high.
Be aware that the very low levels of distortion can make listening
levels higher than is perceived. Please take into consideration,
that too high level hearing may lead, after considerable time,
to irrevocable hearing damage.

Description
DT 100 / DT 102
Le casque de studio fermé DT 100/102 se caractérise par
l’isolation parfaite contre les bruits ambiants. Il est alors l’outil
idéal pour le studio d’enregistrement ou toute application de
radio, film et télévision. Le DT 102 est la version à un écouteur
du DT 100.
Grâce aux oreillettes/bandeau serre-tête souples et remplaçables,
ce casque vous offre un grand confort d’écoute même pour de
longues heures de travail. Les câbles connecteurs des écouteurs
sont protégés par l’arceau serre-tête, le câble principal est enfichable à connexion unilatérale.
DT 108 / DT 109
Similaire au DT 100/102 mais avec un microphone dyna-
mique de directivité hypercardioïde. Le micro-casque DT 108/109
se prête à l’utilisation lors des reportages de radio/ télévision et
en tant que module de communication pour une caméra vidéo
ou un système intercom utilisé lors d’un concert.
Le DT 108 est la version à un écouteur du DT 109.
Branchements
Le casque de studio DT 100/102 et le micro-casque DT 108
/
109 sont livrés avec un câble connecteur. La liste des câbles
disponibles figure ci-après dans la rubrique «accessoires recommandées».
Si vous optez pour le câble K 100.000 à extrémités libres, nous
vous conseillons de munir les fils d’un manchon à sertissage
avant de les souder sur les broches respectives. Sans cette précaution, vous risquez de faire fondre le fil Nylon.Ne faites faire
ce type de branchement que par un spécialiste. Les autres

câbles avec extrémités libres pour le casque peuvent être directement soudés sur les broches de la fiche que vous utilisez (voir
les «diagrammes de câblage»). Sur demande, le casque peut
être livré avec les fiches de votre choix déjà montés.
Utilisation
Ne branchez votre casque de studio DT 100/102 ou
micro-casque DT 108/109 que sur des appareils professionnels
disposant d’une impédance et d’une tolérance de charge
correspondant au modèle dont vous disposez (voir spécifications
techniques).
Le microphone du micro-casque DT 108/109 est d’origine monté
côté gauche. Son câble connecteur est protégé par l’arceau
serre-tête. En cas de nécessité vous pouvez modifier ce montage pour avoir le micro côté droite.
Lorsque vous utilisez votre casque en stéréo il faut également
intervertir les fils gauche / droite dans la fiche du casque (brun
/ orange [gauche] contre rouge / bleu [droite], voir «diagrammes de câblage»). De plus il faut changer les couvercles de
signalisation L et R (gauche / droite).
Pour réduire au maximum le risque d’effets «POP» il faut
placer
le microphone à environ 2 - 3 cm de l’angle de la bouche.

Note importante
Si vous désirez de remplacer vous-même les câbles
connecteurs des écouteurs dans l’arceau serre-tête, veuillez
noter que les anciennes versions de la série DT 100 avaient des
câbles avec contacts vissés, tandis que les câbles connecteurs
des versions les plus récentes sont soudés. Pour cette raison il
faut veiller à commander les câbles appropriés en cas de réparation.
Entretien
Pour des raisons hygiéniques il est important de net-
toyer le casque régulièrement avec un chiffon humide.
N’utilisez que des produits de nettoyage doux (par ex., produit
pour vaiselle), mais en aucun cas des produits détergeants.
Veillez à ce que l’eau ne s’infiltre pas dans les systèmes d’écoute.
Les mousses de protection anti-pop du micro-casque DT 108/
109 se lavent simplement à l’eau tiède. Evitez de les replacer sur
le microphone avant qu’elles ne soient totalement sèches.
La construction modulaire des modèles DT 100/102, DT 108/ 109
permet un service après-vente simple et rapide. Vous trouverez
les références des pièces détachées sous «pièces de rechange».
En cas de nécessité veuillez vous adresser à un technicien beyerdynamic autorisé.
Sécurité
Lorsque vous branchez le casque DT 100/102 ou le
micro-casque DT 108/109 sur un amplificateur, veillez à ce que
le volume d’écoute soit d’abord ramené au niveau minimum.
N’ajustez le volume d’écoute qu’après avoir revêtu le casque.
L’écoute au casque se fait généralement à un niveau plus élevé
qu’avec des haut-parleurs. Sachez qu’une écoute prolongée à
niveau élevé peut entraîner des lésions auditives irrémédiables.
Protégez votre audition, les casques beyerdynamic restituent la
plénitude du spectre sonore, même à volume réduit.
