beyerdynamic . Please take some time to read carefully through this
manual before using the product. Please keep the manual. When passing
on the headset to a third party, please pass on the manual as well.

1. Safety instructions

Warning: When connecting the in-ear h eadset, make sure that you

In-ear headsets dramatically reduce your ability to hear ambient noise.
Using the in-ear headsets while in road traffic is potentially very dangerous
and is therefore prohibited by law. Also, please make sure that you do not
use your in-ear headset when in the vicinity of possibly dangerous
machines and tools.

Risk of injury!

When wearing wired in-ear headphones, avoid any sudden movements.
You could seriously injure yourself, especially if you have any piercings or
wear earrings or glasses, etc. that can get caught in the wire.

Altered auditory perception

Many people need some time to get used to wearing in-ear headsets. Your
auditory perception of your own voice and body, and even the sounds in

have turned the volume down to the minimum. Adjust the
volume only after the in-ear headset are in place. To avoid
any potential damage to your hearing, do not use the in-ear
headset at loud volumes for extended periods of time. As a
rule of thumb, when you have the in-ear headset on, set the
volume to a level at which you can still hear your own voice
when you speak at a normal volume while listening.
We would like to point out that listening at high volumes over
a long period of time may damage your hearing irreversibly.
Make sure that the set volume is not too high.
Rule of thumb: The higher the volume, the shorter the time
of listening. According to employer’s regulations for safety
and health the noise exposure should not exceed 85 dB (low
volume) when working with an allowed time of listening of 8
hours at maximum. If the volume is increased by 3 dB, the
allowed time of listening is halved, i.e. with 88 dB the time
of listening is 4 hours, with 91 dB 2 hours and so on.

your inner ear while walking, are different from “normal” situations when
you are not wearing an in-ear headset. This strange sensation will usually
abate after wearing in-ear headsets for a while.

4. Operating instructions

When turning the headset on/off or selecting the pairing mode, you will
hear a voice prompt.

Turn on the in-ear headset

Press the MFB button until you hear “Power on” and the blue LED glows.

Turn off the in-ear headset

When you press the MFB button for a longer time (approx. 5 seconds),
the purple LED will glow and the headset is turned off after you hear
“Power off”.

Charging

Charging is possible with the supplied micro USB charging cable.

After a factory reset, pair the in-ear headset again for use.

6. Getting started with your Byron BT

6.1 Pairing to your mobile phone
Before you use the Byron BT in-ear headset, you have to pair it with

your mobile phone or Bluetooth enabled device. The pairing process
may be different with various mobile phone makers. Please refer to
the appropriate mobile phone manual.
When the in-ear headset is turned off, press the MFB button for
6 seconds to start the pairing mode (blue LED is continuously on).
Select the Bluetooth mode on your mobile phone.

Pairing on first purchasing

• Select the pairing mode with the Bluetooth in-ear headset.

• P airing with mobile phone (you need to pair with your mobile

within 3 minutes).

• On first purchasing, the in-ear headset enters into pairing mode

automaticall y when the power is o n and the blue LED is
continuously on.

Pairing with mobile phone setting

• Activate the Bluetooth function on your mobile phone according

to the phone manual, search the in-ear headset model name and
select. Then “Pairing” is displayed. (Some mobile phones need
pass key (PIN), then enter 0000).

• If pairing is successful, the message “Connected to phone and

media audio” is displayed and the blue LED glows 5 times. Now
it is ready to use.

Pairing to other devices

• Select the pairing mode with the Bluetooth in-ear headset.

• D eactivate the Bluetooth function of the connected device if

there is a connected device.

• Press the MFB button for 5 seconds to turn off.

• Press the MFB button for 6 seconds. The in-ear headset is turned

on and enters into the pairing mode.

Pairing with mobile phone

• Follow the pairing procedure as described above in the paragraph

“Pairing with mobile phone setting”.

• If pairing is successful, the message “Connected to phone and

media audio” is displayed and the blue LED glows 5 times. Now
it is ready to use.

6.2 Multi point setting
It is possible to connect and use 2 devices simultaneously.

Setting Multi point

• P lease pair the Bluetooth in-ear headset to the first device

according to the pairing process (refer to pairing process).

• Turn off the Bluetooth in-ear headset.

• Press the MFB button for around 4 seconds until the blue LED is

continuously on.

• P lease pair the Bluetooth in-ear headset to the 2nd device

according to the pairing process.

• Then, turn off the Bluetooth in-ear headset and turn on again, it

will be connected to two devices.

How to use Multi point

• At the status of connecting two devices, press the MFB button to

answer a call when there is an incoming call.

• At the status of connecting two devices, press the MFB button to

listen the music that was played lately.

6.3 Call

• Answering a call:

Press the MFB button to answer a call.

• Ending a call:
Press the MFB button briefly to end a call.

• Rejecting a call:
During an incom ing call, press the MFB bu tton for about

1 second.

• Converting a call:
During a call with mobile, press the MFB button to convert to the

headset (to call with the mobile again, use your mobile phone
menu).

• Volume control:
With the + and – buttons you can control the volume.

• Microphone Mute:
If you press the + or – button for about 1 second during a call,

the microphone will mute.

• During mute, it will be released, if you press the + or – button for

about 1 second.

• Depending on the mobile phone models, the above functions may

be different. Please refer to the mobile phone model.

6.4 Factory reset

• Press the buttons in the following order:

The purple LED will glow and the in-ear headset will be

initialised. After a factory reset, pair the in-ear headset again for
use.

6.5 Playing music

• To enjoy the best audio quality, please set 70~80% from the max.

volume in your device.

• On first purchasing, the volume sets in level 10 of all 15 levels
(please adjust with + or – button for volume).

Play / Pause: Press the MFB button briefly
Stop: Give the MFB button a long press
Volume up: Press the + button briefly
Volume down: Press the – button briefly
Next song: Give the + button a long press
Previous song: Give the – button a long press

There are several kinds of bit rate even though it is the same MP3 file. If
the file source is a higher bit rate (320 K) for listening, you can feel the
real worth for our Bluetooth headphone. And, if the speaker is not good
even with a good source, the sound quality will not be good, and if the
speaker is good with an inferior source, the sound quality is lost to the
listener. The Byron BT in-ear headset is optimised to supply you with a
high quality sound, but we also recommend you using a high resolution
source file (320K) to enjoy great sound.

8. FAQ & Troubleshooting

• I hear crackling noise

– For the best audio quality, always place your in-ear headset close to

the mobile phone.

• I cannot hear anything

– Increase the volume on the headphone.
– Make sure that the in-ear headset is paired with the phone.
– I f th e in -ear headset fails to connect when you pressed the MFB

button, try to connect again by following the pairing procedure.

• I have problems with pairing even though my phone indicates otherwise

– Please delete the in-ear headset paired to your mobile phone and pair

the in-ear headset again.
Please refer to set up “Pairing mode”.

• Will the Byron BT work with other Bluetooth equipment?

– The Byron BT is designed to work with Bluetooth mobile, computer or

portable audio devices which are built in. It can also work with other
Bluetooth devices that are compliant with Bl uetooth version

1.1/1.2/2.0/2.1+EDR/3.0/4.0 and that support HSP, HFP, A2DP and
AVRCP.

• Is the enclosed charging cable only for a specified device?

– It is compatible with all standardised micro USB power supplies, and

in general, compatible with Android mobile phone charger.

9. Maintenance

• Make sure the in-ear headset is turned off when storing, and protect it
safely when it is not in use.

• Sunlight and high temperatures can affect battery life of the Byron BT
and may be the cause of malfunction.

• High temperatures may also degrade performance.

• Do not expose the Byron BT in-ear headset to rain or other liquids.

• Prevent babies, children or pets to bite or suck the in-ear headset.

• Please do not disassemble.

• Please make sure to use certified power supplies (rated voltage: 5 V).

1. Sicherheitsanweisungen

Warnung: Achten Sie beim Verbinden des In-Ear Headsets bitte darauf,

In-Ear Headsets schränken Ihre Fähigkeit, Umgebungsgeräusche
wahrzunehmen, erheblich ein. Das Verwenden des In-Ear Headsets im
Straßenverkehr ist potenziell äußert gefährlich und daher gesetzlich
verboten. Achten Sie außerdem darauf, dass Sie Ihr In-Ear Headset nicht
in der Nähe von möglicherweise gefährlichen Maschinen und Werkzeugen
verwenden.

sollte die Hörzeit sein. Nach den Arbeitgebervorschriften für
Sicherheit und Gesundheit sollte die Lärmbelastung nicht
mehr als 85 dB (geringe Lautstärke) bei der Arbeit betragen,
mit einer maximalen Hörzeit von
8 Stunden. Wenn die Lautstärke um 3 dB erhöht wird, wird
die zulässige Hörzeit halbiert, d. h. bei 88 dB beträgt die
Hörzeit vier Stunden und bei 91 dB zwei Stunden usw.

Beim Tragen von drahtgebundenen Im-Ohr-Kopfhörern sollten sie
plötzliche Bewegungen vermeiden. Sie könnten sich ernsthaft verletzen,

4. Bedienungsanweisungen

Beim Ein-/Ausschalten des Headsets oder der Auswahl des Verbindungss­modus hören Sie eine Sprachaufforderung.

Einschalten des In-Ear Headsets

Halten Sie die MFB-Taste gedrückt, bis Sie „Power on“ hören und die
blaue LED leuchtet.

Abschalten des In-Ear Headsets

Wenn Sie die MFB-Taste längere Zeit gedrückt halten (ca. fünf
Sekunden), leuchtet die lila LED und das Headset ist ausgeschaltet, nach­dem Sie „Power off“ hören.

Aufladen

Der Ladevorgang ist über das mitgelieferte Micro-USB-Ladekabel möglich.

6. Erste Schritte mit Ihrem Byron BT

6.1 Verbinden mit Ihrem Mobiltelefon

Bevor Sie das Byron BT In-Ear Headset verwenden können, müssen Sie
es mit Ihrem Mobiltelefon oder einem Bluetooth-fähigen Gerät verbinden.
Das Verbindungsverfahren kann sich zwischen den verschiedenen
Handyherstellern unterscheiden. Bitte beachten Sie die entsprechende
Bedienungsanlei tung des Mobiltelefons. Wenn das In-Ear Headset
auseschaltet ist, drücken Sie für 6 Sekunden die MFB-Taste, um den
Verbindungsmodus zu starten (die blaue LED leuchtet kontinuierlich).
Wählen Sie den Bluetooth-Modus auf Ihrem Mobiltelefon.

Erstes Verbinden nach dem Kauf

• Wählen Sie den Verbindungsmodus am Bluetooth-In-Ear Head­set.

• Verbindung mit Ihrem Mobiltelefon (Sie müssen die Verbindung
mit Ihrem Mobiltelefon innerhalb von 3 Minuten herstellen).

• Beim ersten Einschalten nach dem Kauf wechselt das In-Ear
Headset automatisch in den Verbindungsmodus, wenn es einge­schaltet ist und die blaue LED kontinuierlich leuchtet.

Einstellung zum Verbinden mit einem Mobiltelefon

• Aktivieren Sie die Bluetooth-Funktion auf Ihrem Mobiltelefon
gemäß der Bedienungsanleitung; suchen Sie das In-Ear Headset
anhand des Modellnamens, und wählen Sie es aus. Dann wird
„Pairing“ (Verbinden) angezeigt. (Einige Mobiltelefone benötigen
einen Passwortschlüssel (PIN), in diesem Fall geben Sie 0000
ein).

• Wenn die Verbindung erfolgreich hergestellt wurde, erscheint die
Meldung „Connected to phone and media audio“ (mit Handy­und Medien-Audio verbunden), und die blaue LED leuchtet fünf­mal auf. Jetzt ist das Headset einsatzbereit.

Verbinden mit anderen Geräten

• Wählen Sie den Verbindungsmodus am Bluetooth-In-Ear Head­set.

• Deaktivieren Sie die Bluetooth-Funktion des verbundenen Geräts,
falls ein verbundenes Gerät vorhanden ist.

• Drücken Sie die MFB-Taste 5 Sekunden lang zum Ausschalten.

• Drücken Sie die MFB-Taste 6 Sekunden lang. Das In-Ear Headset
wird eingeschaltet und wechselt in den Verbindungsmodus.

Verbinden mit einem Mobiltelefon

• Befolgen Sie die Schritte zum Verbinden, wie sie im Abschnitt
„Einstellung zum Verbinden mit einem Mobiltelefon“
beschrieben sind

• Wenn die Verbindung erfolgreich hergestellt wurde, erscheint die
Meldung „Connected to phone and media audio“ (mit Handy­und Medien-Audio verbunden) und die blaue LED leuchtet fünf­mal auf. Jetzt ist das Headset einsatzbereit.

6.2 Multi-Point-Einstellung

Es ist möglich, zwei Geräte gleichzeitig zu verbinden und zu

verwenden.

Multi-Point-Einstellung

• Verbinden Sie das Bluetooth-In-Ear Headset gemäß des Verbin­dungsverfahrens mit dem ersten Gerät (siehe Verbindungsverfah­ren).

• Schalten Sie das Bluetooth-In-Ear Headset aus.

• Drücken Sie die MFB-Taste für ca. 4 Sekunden, bis die blaue
LED kontinuierlich leuchtet.

• Verbinden Sie das Bluetooth-In-Ear Headset gemäß des Verbin­dungsverfahrens mit dem zweiten Gerät

• Dann schalten Sie das Bluetooth-In-Ear Headset aus und erneut
ein, und es wird mit den beiden Geräten verbunden sein.

So verwenden Sie Multi-Point

• Im Status des Verbindens von zwei Geräten drücken Sie die MFB­Taste, um einen eingehenden Anruf anzunehmen.

6.3 Anruf

• Beantworten eines Anrufs:

Drücken Sie zum Annehmen eines Anrufs die MFB-Taste.

• Beenden eines Anrufs:

Drücken Sie zum Beenden eines Anrufs kurz die MFB-Taste.

• Anruf ablehnen:

Halten Sie die MFB-Taste für ca.1 Sekunde gedrückt, um einen

eingehenden Anruf abzulehnen.

• Konvertieren eines Anrufs:

Drücken Sie während eines Anrufs mit einem Handy die MFB-

Taste,um den Anruf an das Headset weiterzuleiten (um erneut
mit dem Handy anzurufen, verwenden Sie das Menü Ihres
Mobiltelefons).

• Lautstärkeregelung:

Mit den + und - Tasten können Sie die Lautstärke regeln.

• Mikrofon-Stummschaltung:

Wenn Sie die + oder - Taste für ca. 1 Sekunde während eines

Gesprächs gedrückt halten, wird das Mikrofon stummgeschaltet.

• Sie können die Stummschaltung aufheben, indem Sie die + oder

- Taste für ca. 1 Sekunde gedrückt halten.

• Abhängig von den Handymodellen, können sich die oben
genannten Funktionen unterscheiden. Bitte beachten Sie die
entsprechende Bedienungsanleitung des Mobiltelefons.

6.4 Werkseinstellungen wieder herstellen

• Drücken Sie die Tasten in der folgenden Reihenfolge:

Verbinden Sie das In-Ear Headset nach einer Wiederherstellung

6.5 Abspielen von Musik

• Genießen Sie die bestmögliche Audioqualität, indem Sie

70~80 % dermaximalen Lautstärke Ihres Gerätes einstellen.

• Direkt nach dem Kauf ist die Lautstärke auf Stufe 10 von 15 ein­gestellt (passen Sie sie mit der + oder - Taste an).

Für die gleichen MP3-Datei können mehrere Arten von Bitraten vorhanden
sein. Wenn die Quelldatei eine höhere Bitrate (320 K) hat, erleben Sie
den wahren Wert Ihres Bluetooth-Headsets. Falls ein Lautsprecher selbst
mit einer guten Quelle nicht gut klingt, ist auch die Klangqualität nicht
gut, und falls der Lautsprecher gut ist, aber eine minderwertige Quelle
vorliegt, geht die Klangqualität für den Zuhörer verloren. Das Byron BT
In-Ear Headset wurde optimiert, um Ihnen einen hochwertigen Klang zu
bieten, aber wir empfehlen Ihnen auch eine hochwertige Quelle (320 K)
zu verwenden, um großartigen Sound zu genießen.

8. Fehlerbehebung

• Ich höre Knistern

– Platzieren Sie Ihr In-Ear Headset immer in der Nähe Ihres Handys, um

die beste Audioqualität zu erhalten.

• Ich kann nichts hören

– Erhöhen Sie die Lautstärke am Kopfhörer
– Stellen Sie sicher, dass das In-Ear Headset mit dem Handy verbunden

ist.

– Wenn das In-Ear Headset sich beim Drücken der MFB-Taste nicht ver-

bindet, versuchen Sie die Verbindung erneut anhand von folgendem
Verfahren herzustellen.

• I ch habe Probleme beim Verbinde n, auch wenn mein Handy etwas

– Bitte löschen Sie das verbundene In-Ear Headset und verbinden Sie

das In-Ear Headset erneut mit Ihrem Handy.

• Funktioniert Byron BT mit anderen Bluetooth-Geräten?

– Byron BT wurde für die Verwendung mit Bluetooth-Handys, Computern

und tragbaren Audiogeräten entwickelt. Byron BT kann auch mit an­deren Bluetooth-Geräten funktionieren, die mit Bluetooth-Version

1.1/1.2/2.0/2.1+EDR/3.0/4.0 kompatibel sind, und die HSP, HFP,
A2DP und AVRCP unterstützen.

• Ist das beiliegende Ladekabel nur für ein bestimmtes Gerät geeignet?

– Das Kabel ist mit allen standardisierten Micro-USB-Netzteilen kompa-

tibel sowie allgemein mit dem Ladegerät für Android-Handys.

9. Wartung

• Achten Sie bei der Aufbewahrung darauf, dass das In-Ear Headset aus­geschaltet ist, und schützen Sie es, wenn es nicht verwendet wird.

• Sonneneinstrahlung und hohe Temperaturen können die Lebensdauer
der Batterie von Byron BT beeinflussen und können Fehlfunktionen
verursachen.

• Hohe Temperaturen können ebenfalls die Leistung verschlechtern.

• Setzen Sie das Byron BT In-Ear Headset nicht Regen oder anderen
Flüssigkeiten aus.
