2 Product Introduction

2.1 Introduction:

It is designed according to the American Dupont standard and applied to the abrasion resistant test
for all kinds of nonconductive coating layers. To evaluate the abrasion degree of samples by using
rubber, artificial sweat, steel wool or alcohol to scrub the surface of the samples.

3 Operation Introduction

3.1 Component Description

3.2 Operating Procedure

3.2.1 Connect power (220V/50Hz）

3.2.2 Turn on the power; the switch is on the back of the instrument

3.2.3 Enter the welcome screen and select the language

Slide to adjust the speed

3.2.4 Set the scrub speed and times according to the need
1）Speed Setting：Press bottom to increase the run speed, press bottom to decrease the

run speed

2）Scrub Times Setting：Slide to the right to increase the scrub times，slide to left to

decrease the scrub times

3.2.5 Put the sample on the working plate and fix by Universal fixture

3.2.6 Adjust the height manually according to the shape (length, width, height) and then fix

3.2.7 Add the weight to spline shalt according to the testing demand

3.2.8 Press “start” bottom to start the test after checking all the conditions are ready.

Adjust Scrub Times

Can't adjust the scrub times and speed on the screen
when the desktop is ON status

Turn Off The Machine

Start and Stop Bottom

3.2.9 Press the STOP bottom to stop the test in the test procedure.

The machine will stop automatically when reach to the setting testing times

3.3 Setting Touch Screen Parameter

3.3.1 Set the run parameter by enter RUN SETTING
1）Open this setting screen, quickly set the scrub times and speed

2）Can't adjust the scrub times and speed on the screen when open the desktop to lock

1）Enable to change the brightness of the screen

2）Enable to change the language(Chinese/English)

3）Turn on or off the Buzzle
4）When it is in power saving mode, the machine will standby with closing the brightness if

long time no press

3.3.3 All the settings must be saved before being effective, if return to last menu directly without

saving, then all the settings will be ineffective.

3.4 Base Loads and Supplemental Weights

The base load is comprised of the weight spline shaft and collect assembly, without any
supplemental weight, the base load of standard test system is 125 grams.
Weight may be added to the weight support to increase the abrasion test system load to a maximum
of 2000 grams

We also can supply a lighter system load upon request (optional)

3.5 Specimen conditioning

Prior to testing, it is recommended that specimens/samples be conditioned for at least 24 hrs in the
test atmosphere, organic materials should be conditioned for 48 hours, the dry and curing conditions
for printing or coating on plastics versus metals can be different and many influence the test results,
also heat and moisture are known to affect the physical properties of many materials. It is

recommended that all tests be conducted in the standard laboratory atmosphere of 23±2℃ with
50±5% relative humidity.

4 Maintenance

4.1 For better extend the life of the machine, please have the maintenance regularly according to the

suggestions as follow:

4.1.1 For better running, please put the sample in the middle platform

4.1.2 The maximum load: ≤2 Kg

4.1.3 Maintain the operation shaft by using the WD-40 Lubricating Oil after the normal use

4.1.4 Normal application environment temperature: 30±5℃, humility: 30-90%, avoid putting the

machine in the dusty place

5 Attention

5.1 Installation Environment

5.1.1 Make sure that using the machine in dry and non-corrosiveness environment

5.1.2 Place in the firm working table (the machine base already had the level calibration before

delivery from the factory)

5.1.3 Reliable ground wire is must in the outlet

5.2 Other Attention

5.2.1 This machine power is designed with 220V/5A, not allow dismounting by non-professional

technicians

5.2.2 Forbid put hand, feet and head close to the machine when it is working in order to avoid the

safe accident
