2. Product Introduction
BEVS 1707 PIG is a destructive precision tool for inspection and thickness measurement on single
or multiple coats on virtually all substrates, including wood, plastics, metals, glass, concrete etc.
Also observes and measures substrate and film defects.
It could use the x 50 magnifier to test the different coating in all kinds of substrates under the light.

2.2.3 Working Principle
Cut the groove in V shape from the coating to the substrate with the tungsten carbide cutter, test the
thickness with the optical scale of the magnifier.
2.2.4 Configuration
BEVS PIG is made of senior aviation aluminum and includes magnifier with scale, LED light,
cutter and two balancing wheels.
3. Usage
3.1 Select the testing position.
3.2 draw a line with the pen on the testing surface.
3.3 Handle the PIG tightly and cut the coating in the vertical position with the line. Increase the
force till the substrate is scratched.

3.4 Read the coating thickness with the magnifier.
