OPERATION
:
1. ELECTRICAL SUPPLY AND CONNECTIONS:
The nominal voltage and frequency requirements for the unit are specified on the Data Plate
. Plug the unit into a power source that meets these requirements. Low line voltage is often the cause of service compliant. With unit running, verify that the line voltage is within + or – 10% of that specified on the Data Plate. When performing maintenance on the unit, disconnect the unit from the electrical power source. DO NOT USE AN EXTENSION CORD. The use of ungrounded extension cords or overloaded circuit VOIDS COMPRESSOR WARRANTY.
2. INITIAL START-UP: Energize unit and verify that the condenser and evaporator fans are running. The interior of the cabinet should begin to feel cool within five (5) minutes.
3. TEMPERATURE CONTROL: Factory setting of temperature control is at No.4 position (normal) which will maintain the product at approximately 36 degrees Fahrenheit. For colder temperatures, turn knob clockwise one number at a time. Excessive tampering with temperature control could lead to service problems. For operation above 3000 ft. altitude, have internal thermostat adjustment made by a qualified serviceman.
4. CONDENSATE DISPOSAL: The evaporator blower housing serves as a pan to collect and direct the condensate to the evaporator pan located behind the front grille. Air flows over the pan hastens condensate evaporation so that external drain plumbing is not required.
5. PRODUCT FILL LINE: DO NOT FILL UNIT PAST THE PRODUCT FILL LINE THAT IS PROVIDED ON END WALLS OF UNIT.
