3. Handvat 4 a. Rood indicatielampje “power” b. Groen indicatielampje “gereed voor gebruik”
5. Snoer met stekker
WERKING - Voor het eerste gebruik
3. Laat de sandwichmaker in gesloten toestand opwarmen.

3. Leg de voorbereide sandwiches in de vormen in de bakplaat.

OPERATION - Before the first use
1. Remove the sandwich maker from the packaging, and remove all packaging materials.
2. Clean the baking plates before using them for the first time (see ‘Cleaning and maintenance’).
OPERATION - Preparation
1. Put the plug in the wall socket. The “power” indicator lamp (red) will illuminate to show that the appliance
is on.
2. Take four slices of bread that fit in the sandwich maker. Cut the edges off slices that are too large, so that
they fit in the appliance.
3. Allow the sandwich maker to heat up in the closed position.
4. Lay two slices of ham and/or cheese on two slices of bread, and cover with the other two slices of bread.
Make sure that the ham and/or cheese does not project from the sandwich.
•
Do not use butter; you do not need butter to prepare a delicious toasted sandwich.
The non-stick coating will
ensure that the sandwich does not stick to the baking plates.
• Try varying the ingredients. You can use herbs, fruit, and various types of cheese and meat to make
delicious sandwiches.
You can also make just one sandwich. You just leave the other baking plate empty.

OPERATION - Toasting sandwiches
1. Wait until the green indicator light goes on. The baking plates are now at the correct temperature and the
sandwich maker is ready for use.
During use the heating element will switch on and off to keep the temperature of the baking plate
constant. Consequently the indicator light will also occasionally be illuminated.
The appliance may emit a little smoke and a characteristic smell when you switch it on for the first time.
This is normal, and will soon stop. Make sure the appliance has sufficient ventilation. If necessary, toast the first sandwiches without ham or cheese and throw them away.
2. Open the latch and lift the cover by the handle.
3. Place the prepared sandwiches in the forms in the baking plate.
4. Close the cover and click the latch closed.
If you cannot close the cover and you cannot close the latch, there is too much ham or cheese on the
sandwich. Do not try to close the cover with force; instead, remove some ham and/or cheese from the sandwich.
5. Toast the sandwich until it turns golden-brown. With experience, you will find the correct baking time for
your type of bread and ham or cheese.
6. Open the cover and remove the sandwiches from the baking plate with a wooden or plastic spatula.
Never use a metal spatula, knife or fork. These will damage the non-stick coating.
7. If you do not want to toast any more sandwiches, remove the plug from the wall socket and allow the
appliance to cool.
Enjoy your meal!
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
1. Make sure the plug has been removed from the wall socket and that the appliance has cooled completely.
2. Clean the baking plates with a damp cloth, if necessary with an additional couple of drops of washing-up
liquid. Make sure no traces of detergent remain on the plates. Dry the baking plates thoroughly.
3. Clean the housing with a damp cloth, and then dry thoroughly.
4. The appliance can now be stored either horizontally or vertically, on its back.
• Never use metal implements or scourers to clean the baking plates; these could damage the nonstick coating on the baking plate.

FUNZIONAMENTO - Operazioni preliminari al primo utilizzo

4. È quindi possibile riporre l’apparecchio in posizione orizzontale oppure in posizione verticale poggiandolo

No use nunca espátulas, cuchillos o tenedores metálicos. Éstos dañan la capa antiadherente.
¡Buen apetito!
