WARING
● Read through and understand instructions contained in this manual before starting using the instrument.
● Save and keep the manual handy to enable quick reference whenever necessary.
● In order to avoid injury, or damage to the instrument or the circuit under test, be sure to understand and follow all safety instructions contain in the manual.
-2-
● Be sure to use the instrument only in its
intended applications and to follow measurement procedures described in the manual.
DANGER
● Never make measurement on a circuit above 600 VAC.
● Do not attempt to make measurement in the
presenceofammablegasses,fumesvapour 
or dust. Otherwise, the use of the instrument may cause sparking, which can lead to an explosion.
● Transformer jaw tips are designed not to short the circuit under test. If equipment under test has exposed conductive parts, possibility of shorting.
● Never open the battery compartment cover when making measurement.
● Never attempt to use the instrument if its surface or your hand is wet.
● Do not exceed the maximum allowable input of any measurement range.
-3-
CAT IV - Is for measurements performed at the
source of the low-voltage installation.
CAT III - Is for measurements performed in the
building installation.
CAT II - Is for measurements performed on
circuits directly connected to the low
-voltage installation.
CAT I - Is for measurements performed on
circuits not directly connected to mains.
2. Safety Notes
Read the following safety information carefully before attempting to operate or service the meter.
● Usethemeteronlyasspeciedinthismanual; otherwise the protection provided by the meter may be impaired.
● Always keep hands behind the meter barrier.
● Use extreme caution when clamping around uninstalled conductors or bus bars.
● Never clamp around any conductor carrying a voltage above 600V.
-4-
● Rated environmental conditions:
a. Indoor use. b. Installation category III. c. Pollution degree II. d. Altitude up to 2000 meter. e. Relative humidity 80% max. f. Ambient temperature 0~40°C.
Observe the international Electrical Symbols listed below :
Meter protected throughout by double insulation or reinforced insulation.
Warning ! Risk of electric shock.
Caution ! Refer to this manual before using the meter.
Alternating current.
Earth (ground) terminal.
Application around and removal from hazardous live conductors is permitted.
3. Features
The meter is a unique digital clamp meter for both very low current and high current measurements. Its shielded transformers jaws minimizes the effect
ofexternalstraymagneticeld,enablingleakage
current measurements.
