Power Safety
The AC plug isolates this equipment from the AC supply.
The power supply cord serves as a power disconnect device for pluggable equipment. The socket
outlet should be installed near the equipment and be easily accessible.
This product should be operated from the type of power indicated on the marked label. If you are not sure of the type of power available, consult your dealer or local power company.
Care And Cleaning
Cleaning. Always unplug your monitor from the wall outlet before cleaning. Clean the LCD monitor surface with a lint-free, non-abrasive cloth. Avoid using any liquid, aerosol or glass cleaners.
Slots and openings on the back or top of the cabinet are for ventilation. They must not be blocked or covered. Your monitor should never be placed near or over a radiator or heat source, or in a built-in installation unless proper ventilation is provided.
Never push objects or spill liquid of any kind into this product.
Servicing
Do not attempt to service this product yourself, as opening or removing covers may expose you to dangerous voltages or other risks. If any of the above mentioned misuse or other accident such as dropping or mishandling occurs, contact qualified service personnel for servicing.

How to install your monitor hardware

Please go along with the following steps to install your LCD monitor.
1. Unpack the monitor and remove the stuff filling in the seams. Then place the monitor face down on a stable surface and release the locks to detach the back cover.
Note: Place the foam packing sheet from the monitor on the flat surface to prevent damage to the bezel.
2. Connect the signal cables (D-Sub and DVI-D) to the monitor as shown.
3. Connect the other end of the signal cable to your computer as shown.

4. Connect the power adaptor plug to your monitor as shown.
5. Connet your monitor and computer with the audio cable.
6. Put the back cover back and then separate the legs of the stand and place the monitor on a stable surface.
7. Connect the Power Cord to the power adaptor then plug the other end into a nearby wall socket. (Use only power supplies listed in the user’s manual)

8. Press the Power button on the side panel of the monitor. The power indicator will light up.

Using the Monitor Mounting Kit (Optional)

Your FP785 allows "Location Free" installation. You may wish to mount your LCD monitor to the wall after completing the installtion procedures above. Before starting to install a monitor mounting kit, please read the precautions carefully.
Note: This funtion is available for PC application only.
Precautions
Install your monitor and monitor mounting kit on a wall with flat surface.
Ensure that the wall material is stable to support the weight of the monitor . It is recommended
that you consult a qualified tradesman prior to mounting the device.
To avoid the possiblity of damage, use the provided materials to complete the installation.
Installing the Pivot software
1. Execute "START_PIVOT.EXE" from the folder named "Pivot" on the provided CD.
2. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the software.
3. After restarting your sytem, you will see a Pivot Software Control icon, , appearing in the
system tray. Click on the icon and choose "Rotate 180 degrees", , to pivot the display. To
cancel this action, choose "Rotate 0 degree" , .
4. Turn the power off and keep following the steps below..

Installing the monitor mounting kit
1. Adhere the mounting position reference chart to the wall.
2. Use a suitable drill and bit to drill two holes inon the wall according to the reference chart.
3. Insert the supplied screws into the holes and then attach the monitor mounting kit to the wall.
4. Mount the LCD panel to the fixed monitor mounting kit. Now you may turn the monitor
power on.

Your LCD monitor is designed with a tilt feature that allows you to achieve your optimal viewing angle.

How to install your monitor’s software

You need to set up the correct monitor driver to suit your operating system.
Windows 98, turn to page 13.
Windows 2000, turn to page 19.
Windows ME, turn to page 26.
Windows XP, turn to page 32.
Windows 98. To manually install or update the driver, perform the following steps:
1. Open the control panel and double-click “Display” icon.

2. From the “Display Properties” window, select the “Settings” tab. Click the “Advanced...” button in the bottom right corner.

3. Select the “Monitor” tab. Click the “Change” button in the top right corner.
4. The “Update Device Driver Wizard” opens. Confirm by clicking “Next”.

5. Select “Display a list of all drivers in a specific location, so you can select the driver you want.” and press “Next”.
6. Now click the “Have Disk” button in the bottom right corner. Another window appears. Select the “Browse” button.

7. Insert the supplied CD into your computer. Select the CD-drive from the drop-down menu.
8. By pressing “OK” again in the next window you will be given a list of compatible devices. Select “FP785” from the list and press “Next” again.
