This appliance is intended for household use. It may be plugged into any
AC outlet (ordinary household current). Do not use any other electrical
outlet.

TO ORDER REPLACEMENT ROLLERS AND CLIPS FOR THIS HAIRSETTER,
PLEASE USE THE ORDER FORM ENCLOSED.

HOW TO USE THE HAIRSETTER:

Rollers feature a Quick-Grip surface that holds hair gently but securely
for a uniform, professional-looking set. This hairsetter can also be used
for curling human hair wigs and hairpieces (not synthetics, however, as
any heat may damage them).

PRE-HEAT: Leave the cover closed while rollers are preheating. The
power indicator light on the case will let you know that heating has
begun. When the ready dots on the case and the large rollers turn dark,
all rollers are ready to be used.

BEFORE SETTING: Hair should be clean, dry or slightly damp (never wet)
and free of hair sprays or hair creams. (However, the setter can be used
for quick touch-ups anytime.)

Use the large rollers for building body and for loose waves; medium
rollers for large curls; small rollers for short hair and tight curls.

Remove rollers one at a time. Slide the roller off the heating post by
gripping the cool rim, being careful not to touch the heating post.

Section hair as you normally would for a roller set, taking one section of
hair at a time, combing smooth and then rolling in the desired direction.

After winding the curl, fasten it with the appropriate-size clip by placing
the clip crosswise over the roller.

Leave the rollers in hair for 5 minutes or more, depending on how tight
you want the curl and according to whether hair is easy or hard to curl.

When hair has the desired curl, remove the clips and unwind rollers,
one at a time, gently without pulling. Allow curls to cool completely
before brushing.

HOW TO USE

CARE AND CLEANING

The hairsetter needs little maintenance; it contains no user serviceable
parts. Do not try to repair it yourself; refer it to qualified service personnel
if servicing is needed.

TO CLEAN: Unplug the unit and allow it to cool completely. Wipe the case
and heating posts with a damp cloth. NEVER immerse the case and
heating posts in any liquid. Rollers and clips may also be cleaned with a
damp cloth.

TO CLEAN ROLLERS: Use a comb to loosen any hair that may be clinging
to Quick-Grip rollers. Then soak rollers for a few minutes in a basin of
warm water with 1/2 teaspoon of shampoo. Rinse thoroughly in clear,
warm water. Shake each roller to remove water from the inside and towel
blot. Allow rollers to dry completely (1-2 hours) before using.

TO STORE: Unplug the hairsetter and allow to cool. Store rollers on the
heating posts and put clips in their case. Close case cover. Never wrap
cord tightly around appliance. Keep it loosely coiled around storage
posts. Do not put any stress on cord where it enters hairsetter, as this
could cause the cord to fray and break. Store the appliance in a safe, dry
place where it will not be damaged.

COMO USAR EL FIJADOR DE PELO

Los ruleros disponen de una superficie Quick-Grip (rápida adhesión) que
sostienen el cabello suave pero seguro y que le da una apariencia
profesional. El fijador también puede usarse para rizar pelucas de pelo
natural y añadidos (no para sintéticas, a éstas cualquier temperatura
puede dañarlas).

PRE-CALENTAMIENTO: Deje cerrada la cubierta mientras los ruleros se
calientan. La luz indicadora de encendido en el estuche le dejará saber
que el calentamiento ha comenzado. Cuando el punto indicador en el
estuche y en los ruleros grandes se oscurezcan, es que ya todos los
ruleros están listos para ser usados.

ANTES DE COLOCARSELOS: El cabello debe estar limpio, seco o húmedo
(nunca mojado) y libre de laca o cremas para el cabello. (Sin embargo, su
fijador puede ser usado para rápidos retoques en cualquier momento.)

Use ruleros grandes para darle cuerpo y para ondas más sueltas;
medianos para rizos grandes, pequeños para cabellos cortos o rizos
bastante crespos.

Sáquese los ruleros uno a la vez. Deslice el rulero del poste de
calentamiento tomándolo del borde frío, teniendo cuidado de no tocar los
postes de calentamiento.

Divida el cabello como normalmente lo haría para colocarse un rulero,

PARA LIMPIAR LOS RULEROS:Use un peine para soltar cualquier pelo
que pueda haberse quedado adherido a los ruleros Quick-Grip. Luego
ponga a remojar los ruleros por unos cuantos segundos en una vasija
con agua tibia y 1/2 cucharadita de shampoo. Enjuagar bien con agua
limpia y tibia. Sacuda cada rulero para remover bien el agua de adentro
y séquelos. Deje que se sequen completamente (1 a 2 horas) antes
de usarlos.

PARA GUARDAR:Desenchufe el fijador y deje que enfríe. Guarde los
ruleros en los postes de calentamiento y ponga los clips en su estuche.
Cierre la cubierta del estuche. Nunca enrolle el cordón ajustadamente
alrededor del artefacto. Enrolle el cordón suavemente alrededor de los
postes. No ponga presión al cordón donde éste entra al fijador, ya que
esto podría causar el desgaste del cordón y rotura. Guarde el artefacto en
un lugar seguro y seco donde no pueda dañarse.

LINE CORD SAFETY TIPS

1. Never pull or yank on the cord or the appliance.

2. To insert plug, grasp it firmly and guide it into outlet.

3. To disconnect appliance, grasp plug and remove it from outlet.

4. Before each use, inspect the line cord for cuts and/or abrasion
marks. If any are found, this indicates that the appliance should be
serviced and the line cord replaced. Please return it to our Service
Department or to an authorized service representative.

5. Never wrap the cord tightly around the appliance, as this could
place undue stress on the cord where it enters the appliance and
cause it to fray and break.

DO NOT OPERATE APPLIANCE IF THE LINE CORD SHOWS ANY
DAMAGE, OR IF APPLIANCE WORKS INTERMITTENTLY OR STOPS
WORKING ENTIRELY.

IMPORTANT:

During the first few minutes of initial use, you may notice smoke and a
slight odor. This is normal and will quickly disappear.

When setting is completed, unplug the unit and allow it to cool before
storing.

SPECIAL ATTENTION:

If hairstyle is going to take more than the 24 rollers provided, be sure to
place rollers back on the heating posts after removing from hair so you
will always have rollers hot and ready to use. Heating posts are uniform in
size to make heat-and-repeat setting fumble-free and fast.

WARNING: Do not place unit on glass or mirrored surface while in use.
