SPECIAL ATTENTION:
IMPORTANT: During the first few minutes of use, you may notice

smoke and a slight odor, as well as a humming noise

. This is normal

and will quickly disappear.
WARNING: This multiple-temperature curling iron has been specially

designed for very coarse, thick, hard-to-curl hair. Due to this special
application, the barrel will be very hot in the HIGH (13-15) settings.
Be very careful when using it.

• Keep unit away from contact with all skin areas.

• Do not touch iron barrel with fingertips.

• For shorter hair, place a thin plastic comb between scalp and iron

barrel to avoid touching the scalp.

• Place fingers of free hand on the safety tip when more control is

needed.

• Test a small section of hair to determine the correct heat setting

for your type of hair.

SPECIAL FEATURE:

The solid-state circuitry in this iron has a sensor that detects
temperature loss and boosts the power to bring the heat level back
to optimum styling temperature. This allows you to style the hair in
half the time it takes with ordinary curling irons.

USING YOUR CURLING IRON:

For a complete styling, hair should be clean and dry. Start by
sectioning the hair into strands of no more than 1/2-inch deep and
2-inches wide.

PRE-HEATING:

1. Rest the iron on its safety stand on a flat, smooth surface and
plug into an electrical outlet.

2. Press the On switch.

3. Set the temperature control to the desired setting and let the iron
heat up. It will take 60-90 seconds to reach optimum styling
temperature.

HEAT SETTINGS:
Hair Type Heat Setting

Very coarse, highly resistant HIGH (13-15)

Dense, hard to curl MEDIUM/HIGH (10-12)

Thick and wavy MEDIUM (7-9)

Easy to curl, normal LOW/MEDIUM (4-6)

Very fine, fragile, light colored LOW (1-3)
AUTO-OFF: After approximately one hour, the unit will automatically

shut off. To reactivate the unit, push the OFF button, then push the
ON button.

This appliance requires little maintenance and contains no user
serviceable parts.

CLEANING:

1. Unplug curling iron and let it cool. Clean the iron only when it is
cool.

2. Use a soft, slightly damp cloth to wipe the handle.

3. Do not allow water or any other liquid to go into the handle.

STORAGE:

• Unplug appliance and let it cool.

• Store in a clean, dry place.

• Never wrap the cord around the unit; this could cause the cord

to wear prematurely and break.

• Do not put any stress on the cord where it enters the handle, as it

could cause the cord to fray and possibly break.

• Never hang unit by the power cord.

CARACTERISTICA ESPECIAL:

El circuito de estado sólido de esta tenaza tiene un sensor que
detecta la pérdida de temperatura y eleva rápidamente la energía
para regresar la temperatura al nivel óptimo apropiado para estilizar
el cabello. Esto permite estilizar el cabello en la mitad de tiempo que

COMO USAR LA TENAZA DE RIZAR:

COMO PRECALENTAR LA TENAZA:

1. Coloque la tenaza sobre el soporte de descanso, en una superficie

2. Encienda el interruptor.

3. Ajuste el control de temperatura al nivel deseado y espere que la
tenaza se caliente. La tenaza alcanza la temperatura óptima en
espacio de 60 a 90 segundos.

APAGADO AUTOMATICO: Aproximadamente después de una hora, la

unidad automáticamente se apagará. Para reactivar la unidad,

de Encendido (ON).

POLARIZED PLUG

This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the

other). As a safety feature, this plug fits in a polarized outlet only one

way. If the plug does not fit into the outlet, reverse the plug and try

again. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not

attempt to defeat this safety feature.

LINE CORD SAFETY TIPS

1. Never pull or yank on the cord or the appliance.

2. To insert plug, grasp it firmly and guide it into outlet.

3. To disconnect appliance, grasp plug and remove it from outlet.

4. Before each use, inspect the line cord for cuts and/or abrasion

marks. If any are found, this indicates that the appliance should
