LINE CORD SAFETY TIPS
1. Never pull or yank on the cord or the appliance.
2. To insert plug, grasp it firmly and guide it into outlet.
3. To disconnect appliance, grasp plug and remove it from outlet.
4. Before each use, inspect the line cord for cuts and/or abrasion marks. If any
are found, this indicates that the appliance should be serviced and the line
cord replaced.
5. Never wrap the cord tightly around the appliance, as this could place undue
stress on the cord where it enters the appliance and cause it to fray and
break.
DO NOT OPERATE APPLIANCE IF THE LINE CORD SHOWS ANY DAMAGE,
OR IF APPLIANCE WORKS INTERMITTENTLY OR STOPS WORKING ENTIRELY.
IMPORTANT:
Wires in this mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code:
Blue – Neutral
Brown – Line
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of the appliance may not
correspond with the coloured markings identifying the terminals in your plug,
proceed as follows:
• The wire which is coloured blue must be connected to the terminal which is
marked with the letter N or is coloured black.
• The wire which is coloured brown must be connected to the terminal which is
marked with the letter L or is coloured red.
If a 13-amp plug is used, a 5-amp fuse must be fitted or if any other type of plug
is used, a 5-amp fuse must be fitted either in the plug or adaptor, or at the
Distribution Board.
This product has been tested and manufactured in accordance with the British
Safety Regulations.

How to Use
This appliance is for household use.
IMPORTANT: During the first few minutes of initial use, you may notice smoke
and a slight odor. This is normal and will quickly disappear.
SPECIAL ATTENTION:
WARNING: This multiple-temperature iron has been specially designed to
straighten hair. This iron will be hotter on the HIGH (16-25) settings than regular
dual-heat stylers. Due to the extreme heat capabilities of this iron, be extra
careful when using.
• Keep heated surfaces away from contact with all skin areas. Do not touch
straightening/pressing plates with fingertips.
• For shorter hair, place a thin plastic comb between scalp and iron to avoid
touching scalp.
•Test small section of hair to determine correct heat setting for type of hair.
PREHEATING:
1. Rest the iron on a smooth, flat surface, and plug in.
2. Turn on, set the temperature control at the desired position, and allow iron to
heat. It takes 60-90 seconds to heat up. For optimum styling temperature, allow
iron to heat for 2-3 minutes before using.
STYLING:
For a complete styling, hair should be clean and dry.
1. Work with hair sections that are no more than 21⁄2" wide and 1⁄2" thick.
2. Place hair between the hot plates and press down firmly.
3. Hold in place for a few seconds and pull through hair, maintaining some
tension.
4. For a finishing touch, turn straightening iron under just a half turn when
nearing end of hair.
5. Release pressure from handle and allow hair to slip out.

Care and Cleaning
This appliance requires little maintenance and contains no user serviceable parts.
CLEANING:
1.Unplug iron and let it cool. Clean the iron only when it is cool.
2.Use a soft, slightly damp cloth to wipe the outside surface. Do not allow water
or any other liquid to go into the unit.
STORAGE:
• Unplug appliance and let it cool; store in a clean, dry place.
• Store the cord loosely coiled.
• Never wrap the cord around unit; this could cause the cord to wear
prematurely and break.
• Do not put any stress on cord where it enters the handle, as it could cause cord
to fray and possibly break.
• Never hang unit by the power cord.

Ne jamais bloquer les ouvertures d’air de l’appareil et ne jamais le placer sur une
surface molle comme un lit ou un divan qui peut bloquer les ouvertures d’air.
Enlever peluche, cheveux et autres des ouvertures d’air.

Éloigner le fil électrique des surfaces chaudes ou chauffantes. Ne pas enrouler le
fil électrique autour de l’appareil.

Ne jamais utiliser quand on dort ou sommeille.

CONSEILS DE SÉCURITÉ POUR LE FIL ÉLECTRIQUE
1. Ne jamais tirer sur le fil ou sur l’appareil.
2. Pour brancher la fiche : Attraper fermement la fiche et la guider dans la prise.
3. Pour débrancher l’appareil, attraper la fiche et l’enlever de la prise.
4. Avant chaque usage, inspecter le fil électrique pour coupures ou marques
d’usure. Si on en trouve cela indique qu’il faut réparer l’appareil et changer
le fil électrique.
5. Ne jamais enrouler le fil trop étroitement autour de l’appareil car cela pourrait
exercer trop de pression sur le fil à l’endroit ou il entre dans l’appareil
et pourrait l’effilocher et le faire casser.
NE PAS UTILISER L’APPAREIL SI LE FIL ÉLECTRIQUE EST ENDOMMAGÉ, SI
L’APPAREIL NE FONCTIONNE QUE DE FAÇON INTERMITTENTE OU S’IL NE
FONCTIONNE PLUS DU TOUT.
Utilisation
Cet appareil est pour usage domestique.
IMPORTANT : On peut noter de la fumée et une légère odeur pendant les
premières minutes du premier usage. C’est un phénomène normal qui disparaîtra
rapidement.
MISE EN GARDE SPÉCIALE :
AVERTISSEMENT : Ce fer à plusieurs températures a été spécialement conçu pour
lisser les cheveux. Ce fer sera plus chaud sur les réglages haute (16-25) que les fers
ordinaires à deux températures. Faire très attention avec ce fer, car il peut
atteindre des températures très élevées.
• Éviter que les surfaces chauffées n’entrent en contact avec la peau. Ne pas
toucher des doigts les plaques de lissage.
• Pour les cheveux plus courts, placer un peigne mince en plastique entre le cuir
chevelu et le fer métallique pour éviter de toucher le cuir chevelu.
•Tester une petite mèche de cheveux pour déterminer le réglage approprié pour
son type de cheveux.
PRÉCHAUFFAGE
1. Poser le fer sur une surface plate et lisse et brancher.
2. Allumer, régler la commande de température sur la position désirée et laisser
chauffer. Il faut entre 60 et 90 secondes pour chauffer.
Pour obtenir une température optimum de coiffure, laisser chauffer le fer pendant
2 à 3 minutes avant d’utiliser.
COIFFURE :
Pour une coiffure complète, les cheveux doivent être propres et secs.
1. Travailler avec des mèches de cheveux qui ne dépassent pas 21⁄2 pouces de
largeur et 1⁄2 pouce d’épaisseur.
2. Mettre les cheveux entre les plaques chaudes et appuyer fermement.
3. Laisser en place quelques secondes et tirer les cheveux en les maintenant tendus.
4. Pour un meilleur fini, donner juste un peu moins d’un demi-tour au fer quand on
approche de l’extrémité.
5. Relâcher la pression de la poignée et laisser s’échapper les cheveux.

Entretien et nettoyage
Cet appareil n’a besoin que de peu d’entretien et ne contient aucune pièce
réparable par l’utilisateur.
NETTOYAGE :
1. Débrancher l’appareil et le laisser se refroidir. Ne nettoyer le fer que quand il est
froid.
2. Utiliser un chiffon doux légèrement humide pour essuyer le surface èxterieur. Ne
pas laisser pénétrer de l’eau ou tout autre liquide dans l’appareil.
RANGEMENT :
• Débrancher l’appareil, le laisser refroidir et ranger dans un endroit sec et propre.
• Ranger le cordon enroulé de façon lâche
• Ne jamais entourer le cordon autour de l’appareil, car cela peut l’user
prématurément et le faire casser.
• Ne pas créer de tension sur le cordon là où il entre dans l’appareil, car cela
pourrait le faire s’effilocher ou casser.
• Ne jamais pendre l’appareil par le fil électrique.

„Stecken" Sie das Gerät sofort „aus", wenn es ins Wasser fällt. Greifen Sie auf
keinen Fall ins Wasser.
WARNUNG: Um die Gefahr von Verbrennungen, Feuer, Stromschlägen oder
Verletzungen zu reduzieren:

Haushaltsgeräte nie unbeaufsichtigt lassen, wenn sie eingesteckt sind.

Das Gerät nur für den in der Gebrauchsanweisung beschriebenen Zweck
verwenden. Nur Zubehör verwenden, das vom Hersteller empfohlen wird.

Das Gerät nie verwenden, wenn das Stromkabel oder der Stecker beschädigt ist,
wenn es nicht richtig funktioniert, wenn es herunter gefallen ist, wenn es in
irgendeiner Weise beschädigt oder ins Wasser gefallen ist. Das Gerät zur Prüfung
und Reparatur an ein Kundenzentrum zurücksenden. Telefonische Auskunft kann
ansonsten über die gebührenfreie Telefonnummer auf der Titelseite dieser
Gebrauchsanleitung eingeholt werden.

Blockieren Sie auf keinen Fall die Lüftungsschlitze des Geräts bzw. stellen Sie es
auf keine weiche Unterfläche, wie Bett oder Sofa, wo die Lüftungsschlitze
abgedeckt werden könnten. Die Lüftungsschlitze von Fusseln, Haaren und
ähnlichem freihalten.

Das Gerät nie verwenden, wenn Sie sich Sie sich schwindlig fühlen oder schlafen
gehen.
❑
Dieses Gerät wird bei der Verwendung heiß. Augen und nackte Haut nicht mit
erhitzten Oberflächen in Berührung bringen.
