LINE CORD SAFETY TIPS

1. Never pull or yank on the cord or the appliance.

2. To insert plug, grasp it firmly and guide it into outlet.

3. To disconnect appliance, grasp plug and remove it from outlet.

4. Before each use, inspect the line cord for cuts and/or abrasion
marks. If any are found, this indicates that the appliance
should be serviced and the line cord replaced. Please return
it to our Service Department or to an authorized service
representative.

5. Never wrap the cord tightly around the appliance, as this
could place undue stress on the cord where it enters the
appliance and cause it to fray and break.

DO NOT OPERATE APPLIANCE IF THE LINE CORD SHOWS ANY
DAMAGE, OR IF APPLIANCE WORKS INTERMITTENTLY OR STOPS
WORKING ENTIRELY.

IMPORTANT:

During the first few minutes of initial use, there may be a slight
odor. This is normal and will quickly disappear.

HOW TO USE

This appliance is for household use and may be plugged into any
AC electrical outlet (ordinary household current).

Do not use any other electrical outlet.

TO USE:

For a complete styling, hair should be clean, dry and free from dirt,
hair spray, creams, etc. (Of course, this brush can always be used
for quick touch-ups and rescues any time.)

PRE-HEAT: Rest the unit on a heat-resistant, flat surface and plug
in. Set the heat switch at Hi or Low position, and allow brush to
heat. When ready dot on barrel turns dark, the brush is ready
for use.

Use Hi heat for normal, easy-to-curl hair and for hard-to-curl hair,
simply holding hair wound around barrel a bit longer for hair that
resists curling. Use Low heat for hair that has been color-treated,
or is fragile or damaged.

STYLING: Taking one section at a time, use the brush barrel to roll
hair in the direction of the curl you want, and hold a few seconds.
You’ll find the safety tip a great help in winding, as you can use
one hand on the handle and the fingers of the other on the safety
tip. (Note: To avoid tangling, do not wind hair around the brush
more than two times.) When hair feels warm, the curl is set, and
you should carefully remove brush barrel and allow curl to cool
without disturbing it. Continue all over head until you have
achieved the style you want and can brush into place. . . also
using the hot brush! When completely finished, and all curls
have cooled thoroughly, gently brush and comb hair into the style
you wish.

CARE AND CLEANING

This appliance requires little maintenance and contains no user
serviceable parts. Do not try to fix it yourself. Refer it to qualified
service personnel if servicing is needed.

TO CLEAN: Unplug curling brush and allow to cool. Brush must be
cleaned only when cold. Use a soft, slightly damp cloth to wipe
the handle. Do not allow water or any other liquid to go into
handle of the brush. Hair can be removed from bristles with a
small brush or comb.

TO STORE: Unplug appliance and let it cool; store in its box or in a
clean, dry place. Store the cord loosely coiled. Never wrap the
cord around unit; this could cause the cord to wear prematurely
and break. Do not put any stress on cord where it enters the
handle, as it could cause cord to fray and possibly break. Never
hang unit up by the power cord.

SUGERENCIAS PARA SEGURIDAD CON EL CORDON

1. Nunca hale o tire del cordón o del artefacto.

2. Para introducir el enchufe, sujételo firmemente y guíelo hacia
el tomacorriente.

3. Para desconectar el artefacto, sujete el enchufe y retírelo del
tomacorriente.

4. Antes de cada uso, inspeccione el cordón si tiene cortes y/o
raspaduras. Si algo fuera encontrado, esto indica que el
artefacto deberá ser revisado y el cordón deberá ser
reemplazado. Por favor, devuélvalo a nuestro Departamento
de Servicio o a un representante de servicio autorizado.

5. Nunca enrolle el cordón ajustadamente alrededor del
artefacto, ya que esto podría causar una presión excesiva
en el cordón donde éste entra al artefacto y causar desgaste
y rotura.

NO HAGA FUNCIONAR EL ARTEFACTO SI EL CORDON MUESTRA
CUALQUIER DAÑO, O SI EL ARTEFACTO FUNCIONA
INTERMITENTEMENTE O DEJA DE FUNCIONAR
COMPLETAMENTE.

IMPORTANTE:

Durante los primeros minutos de su uso inicial, podría haber un
ligero olor. Esto es normal y desaparecerá rápidamente.

COMO USAR

Este artefacto es para uso doméstico y puede ser enchufado en
cualquier tomacorriente de corriente alterna (corriente ordinaria
doméstica). No use ningún otro tomacorriente eléctrico.

MODO DE USARSE

Para un mejor acabado, el cabello debe estar limpio, seco y libre
de laca, cremas, etc. (Por supuesto, su cepillo puede ser usado
para retoques en casos de emergencia.)

PRE-CALENTAMIENTO: Coloque la unidad en una superficie plana
y resistente al calor y enchúfela. Encienda el interruptor en la
posición Alta (HI) o Baja (LOW) y deje que se caliente. Cuando el
punto indicador en la barra se oscurezca, el cepillo está listo para
ser usado.

Use temperatura Alta (HI) para cabellos normales, fáciles o
difíciles de rizar, simplemente sostenga el pelo enrollado a la
barra y manténgalo más tiempo en cabellos que se resisten al
rizado. Use temperatura Baja (LOW) para cabellos teñidos,
frágiles o dañados.

PEINADO: Ahora, tomando una sección a la vez, use la barra del
cepillo para enrollar el pelo en la dirección que usted desea el
rizo y sosténgalo por varios segundos. Usted notará que la punta
protectora es una gran ayuda para enrollar el cabello, ya que con
una mano se sujeta el mango y con los dedos de la otra mano la
punta protectora. (Nota: Para evitar que se enrede el cabello no
lo enrolle más de dos veces.) Cuando sienta el pelo tibio, el rizo
ya está listo y con cuidado saque el cepillo y deje que el rizo se
enfríe sin tocarlo. Continúe en toda la cabeza hasta que haya
obtenido el estilo que desea y puede cepillarlo...usando este
mismo cepillo! Cuando esté completamente terminado, y los rizos
se hayan enfriado completamente, suavemente cepille y peine su
cabello al estilo que desee.

CUIDADO Y LIMPIEZA

Este artefacto requiere poco mantenimiento y no tiene piezas que
puedan ser reparadas. No trate de repararlo usted mismo. Si
necesita reparación remítalo a personas calificadas.

PARA LIMPIAR:Desenchufe su unidad y déjela enfriar. El mango
puede ser limpiado con un trapo suave y húmedo. No deje que
penetre agua u otro líquido al mango del cepillo. Los pelos pueden
ser removidos de las hebras con un cepillo pequeño o peine.

PARA GUARDAR:Desenchufe su artefacto, déjelo enfriar y
guárdelo en su misma caja o en un lugar seco y limpio. Enrolle el
cordón suavemente, sin ajustarlo. Nunca lo envuelva ajustado
alrededor de su unidad, esto podría causar a que se gaste
prematuramente y rompa. No ponga presión al cordón donde éste
entra al mango, ya que esto podría causar el desgaste del cordón
y su posible rotura. Nunca cuelgue la unidad por el cordón.

ENCHUFE POLARIZADO

Este artefacto tiene un enchufe polarizado (una hoja es más ancha que
la otra). Como medida de seguridad, este enchufe sólo debe usarse en
un tomacorriente polarizado en un solo sentido. Si no entrara en el
tomacorriente, invierta el enchufe y trate nuevamente. Si aún así no
entrara, busque la ayuda de un electricista calificado. No intente anular

POLARIZED PLUG

This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other).
As a safety feature, this plug fits in a polarized outlet only one way. If
the plug does not fit into the outlet, reverse the plug and try again. If it
still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to
defeat this safety feature.

Applica warrants this product against any defects that are due to
faulty material or workmanship for a one-year period after the
original date of consumer purchase. This warranty does not
include damage to the product resulting from accident or misuse.
If the product should become defective within the warranty
period, we will repair it or elect to replace it free of charge.
