Dura-Stat

Thermostatic Module

Thermostatic Traps,
Model 1E, 1/”

CAUTION: TURN OFF STEAM SUPPLY
VALVE AND ALLOW RADIATOR TO COOL

BEFORE REPLACING MODULE.

1 Remove the cover from the trap. Then,
unscrew the old thermostatic element from the
cover using a
old element.

IMPORTANT: After removing the old element,
be sure to remove any scale or debris from the
trap body interior. NOTE: Some traps may
include a threaded seat insert. If so, do not
remove this seat when installing Dura-Stat.

2 Install the replacement Dura-Stat Module in
the Model 1E trap body by inserting the module
into the machined seat. Then, place the
retainer spring included with the Dura-Stat
Module on top of the module as shown to the
right.

MODULE

3 Securely (leak tight) re-install the cover on
the trap body, taking care to ensure that the
retainer spring and module remain squarely in
the trap body. Open the radiator supply valve.
