Plug In Your TuneBase
Follow the s teps in th is section to set up your TuneBas e FM with Han ds-Fre e (the TuneBa se).
These s teps coi ncide wi th those i n the Quic k Install Guide but provid e more det ail.
1. Inser t your TuneBa se into the p ower
outlet i n your car.
Warning: Do not rotate t he TuneBase i n the
power outlet. If you e xperience resistan ce,
unplug t he TuneBase a nd reinsert it in
the desi red pos ition. Fa ilure to do s o may
damage the cigarette lighter adapter or
power outlet.
2. Test the tig htness o f fit in the p ower
outlet. The TuneBase should give some
resistance when you tr y to rotate i t inside
the power o utlet. I t should n ot rotate o r
move on its ow n.
If the TuneBase is too loose or too
tight in the power ou tlet, se e the
troubleshooting section for instructions
on adjus ting the f it.

Dock Your iPod
You can keep you r iPod in its case whe n you dock i t.
1. Push the bu tton on the sprin gboard and
slide it to its maximum height.

2. Connect your iPod to the TuneBase dock
conne ctor, makin g sure it is f ully seated.

3. Pus h the fron t of the iPod back until t he
back of the iPod touches the fr ont of
the springboard.

4. Pus h down on the top of the sp ringbo ard
until it holds your i Pod secu rely in place.
Note: After you have adjusted the height of
the springboa rd, there is no need t o adjust
the TuneBas e to inser t and re move your iPo d.

5. Connect the audio cable to the
headphone jack on your iPod.
