This manufac turer’s warranty is g overned by the laws of the c ountry in which you p urchased your Belk in, Linksys or WeMo p roduct. In many
countries, c onsumers have right s under local cons umer laws. Those co nsumer rights may di er between count ries, states and prov inces, and
often canno t be excluded. Your loca l consumer rights o rganization can adv ise you on your legal ri ghts.
This manufac turer’s warranty is n ot intended to:
• change or exclud e any rights under con sumer law that cannot b e lawfully chang ed or excluded; or
• limit or exclude any r ight you have against the p erson who sold the B elkin, Linksys o r WeMo product to you if th at person has breac hed
their sales contract with you.
WHAT DOES THIS WARR ANTY COVER?
Product Warranty: Belkin warrant s that the product har dware and any softwa re media (i.e., m edia on which the prod uct software is p rovided)
will be free fro m defects in materia ls and workmanshi p under normal use du ring the Warranty Perio d described bel ow. This means that the
product won ’t be defective, an d that it will look and wo rk as advertised du ring the relevant per iod.
Connected Equipment Warranty: Belkin also cover s damage to any equipm ent which is connec ted through the Bel kin product to a prop erly
wired AC power lin e with protective gro und (Connected Equipment) caused by failure of the Bel kin product to ope rate as described in th e
product do cumentation and ari sing as a result of impu lses from lightning , or other power trans ients, or by momenta ry (less than 1ms) vol tage
surges or spike s (an Occurrence) during the Warranty Pe riod (Connected Equipment Warranty).
The Connect ed Equipment Warrant y will not apply if dama ge to the Connected Eq uipment resulted f rom:
• telephone-l ine transients if the C onnected Equipm ent was not properly co nnected to or was not d irectly connec ted to a Belkin produ ct that
oers telephone-line transient protection;
• coaxial-line tr ansients if the Conn ected Equipment wa s not properly conn ected to or was not dire ctly connected to a B elkin product th at
oers coaxial-line transient protection; or
• network-line transie nts if the Connecte d Equipment was not pro perly connecte d to or was not directly c onnected to a Belk in product that
oers network-line transient protection.
The Connect ed Equipment Warrant y will remain eecti ve for the Warranty Perio d set out below. The Con nected Equipment Wa rranty
automatically ends when the Product Warranty ends.
This warranty d oes not apply to prod ucts purchased f rom a source other than B elkin or a Belkin Aut horized Reseller.
How long is the product warranted and what is the maximum value of the Connected Equipment Warranty?
Belkin warran ts that the hardware in t his Belkin, Links ys or WeMo product, an d any associated sof tware media, wil l be free from defect s in
materials an d workmanship unde r normal use during th e Warranty Period. Th e Warranty Period beg ins on the date the prod uct was purchase d
by the original e nd-user purchas er and lasts for the p eriod set out in the tab le below. Belkin’s tota l liability under t he Connected Equip ment
Warranty shall n ot exceed the maximu m aggregate monetar y limits set forth i n the table below:

If the Protecte d Light indicator on y our Belkin produ ct does not come on b ecause your produ ct is dead on arrival , your product wil l remain
covered under t his warranty. A produc t is considered d ead on arrival when it d oes not work when you t ry to power it on for the f irst time. Pleas e
contact Bel kin Technical Suppor t within sixty (60) days f rom the date of purcha se of your product fo r a replacement (se e the section on “B elkin
Technical and Warran ty Support Info rmation” below). A pro duct given to replac e a product that is de ad on arrival shall be co vered by a fresh
warranty having the same duration as the original Warranty Period.
If the Protecte d Light indicator on t he product goes ou t at any time, this mean s that the capacity o f the product is excee ded, and the produ ct
will no longe r protect against su rges and spikes of ene rgy. Therefore, if the Pro tected Light indic ator on your product g oes out, we strongly
recommend t hat you cease using th e product immedia tely. In such an event, if the pr oduct is still withi n the Warranty Period an d if none of the
exclusions s et out in this warranty a pply, please contac t Belkin Technical Supp ort for a replacem ent product.
A claim under th is warranty is only el igible if it is made wit hin the Warranty Perio d.
What isn’t covered by the Product Warranty and Connected Equipment Warranty?
Belkin doe s not give any warranty:
• in relation to soft ware or services , provided by Belki n or any third party, inc luded in or with the pr oduct or Connec ted Equipment;
• that the product, s oftware or serv ices will always opera te uninterrupted or er ror free;
• that the product, s oftware or serv ices, or any equipm ent, system or networ k on which the produc t, software or ser vices are used are 10 0%
secure and ca nnot be hacked; or
• that a third-par ty service the pro duct or Connect ed Equipment needs w ill always be availabl e.

• the seria l number on the pro duct has been alt ered, defaced , or removed;
• the product was u sed in conjunctio n with other extensi on cords, power stri ps, adapters, UP Ses, surge protec tors, other groun ding wires or
electrical connections; or
• the product was s upplied or license d for beta, evaluatio n, testing or demo nstration purpos es, and you didn’t bu y or license the prod uct.
Will Belkin cover damage to Connected Equipment in all situations under the Connected Equipment Warranty?
Belkin doe s not cover damage to Conn ected Equipment in t he following situat ions:
• the product was p urchased in Latin Am erica, includin g Mexico, Central Am erica, South Amer ica, and the Caribb ean (excluding any U. S. or
Canadian ter ritories in these reg ions);
• the Product Warrant y has expired or do es not apply (pleas e see section above) ;
• the Connected Eq uipment was not prop erly or directly co nnected to the prod uct;
• not all wires leadi ng into the Connecte d Equipment, includ ing telephone and c oaxial lines, pa ss through the appro priate product;
• damage to the Conn ected Equipment wa s not caused by an Occur rence;
• the power outlet to w hich the product wa s connected was not p roperly grounde d or not grounded at all ;
• the Connected Eq uipment has been su bjected to abnorm al physical or elec trical stress, mi suse, negligen ce, or accident;
• damage to the Conn ected Equipment is c osmetic (includ ing scratches and de nts), or damage was cau sed by normal wear and t ear or
normal agin g of the Connected Equ ipment;
• damage to the Conn ected Equipment wa s caused by an Act of God (ot her than lightning), i ncluding but not lim ited to typhoon , hurricane,
erosion, earthquake, thunderstorm, inclement weather, flood, tsunami, vandalism, theft, or war;
• damage to the Conn ected Equipment wa s caused by a power outa ge, a sustained low vo ltage situation, or a l ow-voltage disturb ance,
including b ut not limited to browno uts or sags;
• repair or replac ement of the damaged C onnected Equipm ent is covered by a third pa rty’s manufact urer’s warranty, a sell er’s extended
warranty, or your i nsurance policy ;
• Belkin determi nes that the Connec ted Equipment was not u sed under normal o perating conditio ns or in accordance wi th the
manufacturer’s instructions for the Connected Equipment; or
you continue to u se the product in the k nowledge that the P rotected Light indi cator has gone out.
Note: Although th is warranty doesn’ t apply in these situ ations, you may have add itional rights und er consumer laws.
How will Belk in make things right ?
If you make an eligi ble claim in relatio n to your defective Bel kin product unde r the Product Warrant y, Belkin will, at its el ection:
• repair the produ ct with new or refurbi shed parts, or p ay the reasonable co sts of repairing the p roduct;
• replace the prod uct with a reasonab ly available equival ent new or refurbish ed Belkin, Links ys or WeMo product; o r
• refund you the purc hase price of the prod uct, minus any rebate s and discounts.

Any repaired or r eplacement prod ucts are warranted fo r the remainder of the o riginal Warranty Peri od or 30 days, whiche ver is longer. All
products a nd parts that are rep laced become the p roperty of Belk in.
If you make an eligi ble claim in relatio n to your damaged Conn ected Equipment un der the Connecte d Equipment Warranty, Be lkin will, at its
option:
(1) pay the reasonable cost s of repairing the dam aged Connected Eq uipment as asses sed by Belkin in its so le discretion;
(2) replace the da maged Connecte d Equipment with a reas onably available eq uivalent new or refur bished Connect ed Equipment (in
which case we w ill engage the repai r facility and nego tiate and settle the c ost of repair); or
(3) refund you the fair ma rket value of the dama ged Connected Eq uipment as reaso nably assesse d by Belkin in its so le discretion.
Belkin makes ev ery reasonable e ort to repair or repl ace your damaged Con nected Equipmen t under this warrant y. However, as the repaired
or replacem ent Connected Equi pment is manufactu red by third partie s, Belkin does not m ake any warranty in relati on to such repaired or
replaceme nt Connected Equip ment, nor is Belkin ab le to confirm that the ma nufacturer of the Co nnected Equipme nt will oer such a warran ty.
All calculat ions performed b y Belkin in evaluating y our claim under this w arranty are final an d binding on you except in t he case of errors.
For Belkin to p roperly and exped itiously validate yo ur claim under this Pro duct Warranty and / or t he Connected Equi pment Warranty, you
agree that Bel kin may examine the dam aged product, the d amaged Connect ed Equipment and/or the s ite where the damage o ccurred. Belki n
reserves it s right to do these thin gs until any claim under t he Product Warrant y and / or the Connecte d Equipment Warranty i s finalised. The
damaged pro duct and damaged C onnected Equipm ent must remain availa ble for inspecti on during that time. D o not dispose of the pro duct
and Connec ted Equipment until you r claim has been full y resolved. Pleas e review the section t itled What do I need to d o to make a claim?”
under the header “Belkin Technical and Warranty Support Information” below.
Once your clai m under this warrant y is fully settled , Belkin reserves t he right to be subrogat ed under any existin g insurance polici es that you
may have.
Note: The rights an d remedies outline d above are the only righ ts and remedies avai lable under this war ranty. However, you may have
additional r ights under consu mer laws.

If I believe my pro duct is defecti ve and covered by the Pro duct Warranty or the C onnected Equi pment Warranty, what d o I need to do?
You will need to conta ct Technical Suppor t for your region at the li nks above. So that we can h elp you, you will nee d to give us some
information w hen you contact us:
• your produc t model, hardware rev ision and serial nu mber;
• the name of your I nternet Service Pr ovider (ISP); and
• proof that you purch ased the product, w ith the date of the purch ase shown and place w here it was purchase d. WE WILL ALWAYS NEED A
DATED PROOF OF ORIGINA L PURCHASE TO PROCESS WAR RANTY CLAIMS .
Sometimes we will need you to send the product or Connected Equipment back to us so that we can fix or replace it. If we ask you to return
your product to us by post, you will be given a Return Materials Authorization (RMA) number and we’ll tell you where to send the product and/
or Connected Equipment. You will need to make sure the product and/or Connected Equipment is properly packaged and shipped, and you will
be responsible for the costs of returning your product and/or Connected Equipment to us. We need to identify your product and/or Connected
Equipment when it reaches us, so you’ll need to include the RMA number AND a copy of your dated proof of original purchase (please keep the
original) with the returned product and/or Connected Equipment. We also recommend that you send the package by registered and insured mail or
by overnight courier to protect the package while it is in transit. If Belkin determines, in its sole discretion, that it is impractical to ship the damaged
Connected Equipment to Belkin, Belkin may designate, in its sole discretion, an equipment repair facility to inspect and estimate the cost to repair
such Connected Equipment. In that case, Belkin reserves the right to negotiate the cost of repairs. The cost, if any, of shipping the Connected
Equipment to such repair facility and of such estimate shall be borne solely by the original end-user purchaser.
If you are makin g a claim in respect of yo ur damaged Conne cted Equipment, you m ust do so within fif teen (15) days from th e date of the
Occurrence . So that we can proces s your claim expedit iously, we will need th e following informa tion in addition to th e information descr ibed
above when you co ntact us: descrip tion of all the equipm ent that was connec ted to the product at t he time of the Occurre nce, including na me
and model num ber; purchase of t he damaged Conne cted Equipment; d escription of the da maged Connecte d Equipment and the ex tent of
damage (we may requ est that you send us ph otographs of the dama ged Connected Eq uipment and the site w here the damage occ urred, or we
may ask to examin e the site where the dama ge occurred, to he lp us validate your clai m); and the date of the O ccurrence.
What happens when I return my product or Connected Equipment?
Defective p roducts covered by th e Product Warranty wi ll be replaced with out charge with the sa me product or an equ ivalent product of e qual
or greater valu e, or Belkin will prov ide you with a refund of th e purchase price of th e product, minus any re bates and discount s. The remedy
oered will be d etermined by Belki n in its sole discreti on.
In relation to da maged Connecte d Equipment covered by th e Connected Equip ment Warranty, Belkin w ill pay the reasonabl e costs of repair
as assesse d by Belkin at it discret ion, replace the Co nnected Equipme nt with a reasonably ava ilable equivalen t new or refurbished C onnected
Equipment (eng aging the repair faci lity and negotiat ing and settling th e cost of repair), or refund t he fair market value as rea sonably assess ed
by Belkin at its s ole discretion.
We can only ship re placement or repa ired products to lo cations in the count ry where the origin al product was purc hased.
Belkin may ne ed to delete all or par t of your data to repair or re place your product. B elkin may also insta ll software updat es as part of
warranty ser vice. PLEASE MAKE S URE THAT YOU BACK UP ALL OF YOUR DATA ON THE PRODUCT BEFORE S ENDING IT IN FOR REPAIR OR
REPLACEMENT. BELKIN I S NOT RESPONSIBLE FO R ANY LOSS OF DATA OR SOFTWARE DURING WARR ANTY SERVICE.
