Congratulations and thank you for purchasing the Flexible-Fit
In-Desk USB Hub (the Hub). The Hub provides four downstream
USB ports that offer backward-compatible, Plug-and-Play
connectivity with all USB devices, including USB 1.1 (low- and
full-speed) and USB 2.0 (high-speed) devices. This includes
such peripherals as scanners, printers, mass-storage devices,
and high-resolution cameras. The Hub is self-powered, which
allows the cascading of devices with additional hubs so that
up to 127 USB devices may be connected to a single port. The
Hub fits into any hole that measures 2 to 3 inches in diameter. It
is designed for discreet placement into your desk.

Note: If your desk does not have a pre-drilled hole in it, you can
drill one yourself using a hole saw (requires separate purchase,
not from Belkin).

IMPORTANT NOTE: Please do not connect any USB devices
to the Hub until instructed to do so in step 6 of this installation
procedure.

1. Insert the Hub into the hole in the desk.

2. From underneath the desk, capture the Hub through the mounting

ring and while holding the Hub in place, twist the ring clockwise to
tighten the grip on the desk.

3. Once the Hub is secure, plug the included power adapter into a

wall outlet or surge protector and the other end into the rear of
the Hub.

4. Plug the flat end of the USB device cable into the downstream

port of your computer or another hub, and connect the square end
into the base of the Hub.

5. If your computer is on, your operating system will automatically

detect the Hub and load the corresponding drivers.

6. You can now plug in your USB devices to the Hub.

Note: You can use the Hub without the power supply when

connecting low-power devices such as keyboards and mice.
Important Note: The Hub must be connected to a USB

2.0-compliant host in order to function in high-speed mode (480Mbps

data rate). If the Hub is connected to a USB 1.1-compliant host, it will
operate only in low- or full-speed mode (1.5Mbps/12Mbps). When the
Hub is connected to a USB 1.1 host controller, the maximum USB

1.1 bandwidth of 12Mbps must be shared by all four ports.

What is not covered by this warranty?

All above warranties are null and void if the Belkin product is not
provided to Belkin for inspection upon Belkin’s request at the sole
expense of the purchaser, or if Belkin determines that the Belkin
product has been improperly installed, altered in any way, or tampered
with. The Belkin Product Warranty does not protect against acts of
God (other than lightning) such as flood, earthquake, war, vandalism,
theft, normal-use wear and tear, erosion, depletion, obsolescence,
abuse, damage due to low voltage disturbances (i.e. brownouts or
sags), non-authorized program, or system equipment modification
or alteration.

How to get service.

To get service for your Belkin product you must take the
following steps:

1. Contact Belkin International, Inc., Express Business Park,

Shipton Way, Rushden NN10 6GL, United Kingdom, Attn:
Customer Service, or call
(800)-223-5546, within 15 days of the Occurrence.
Be prepared to provide the following information:

a. The part number of the Belkin product.
b. Where you purchased the product.
c. When you purchased the product.
d. Copy of original receipt.

2. Your Belkin Customer Service Representative will then instruct

you on how to forward your receipt and Belkin product and how
to proceed with your claim.

Belkin reserves the right to review the damaged Belkin product. All
costs of shipping the Belkin product to Belkin for inspection shall
be borne solely by the purchaser. If Belkin determines, in its sole
discretion, that it is impractical to ship the damaged equipment to
Belkin, Belkin may designate, in its sole discretion, an equipment
repair facility to inspect and estimate the cost to repair such
equipment. The cost, if any, of shipping the equipment to and from
such repair facility and of such estimate shall be borne solely by the
purchaser. Damaged equipment must remain available for inspection
until the claim is finalized. Whenever claims are settled, Belkin
reserves the right to be subrogated under any existing insurance
policies the purchaser may have.

How state law relates to the warranty.

THIS WARRANTY CONTAINS THE SOLE WARRANTY OF BELKIN.
THERE ARE NO OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR, EXCEPT
AS REQUIRED BY LAW, IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED

Félicitations et merci d’avoir choisi le Hub USB 2.0 encastrable
Flexible-Fit de Belkin (le hub). Le hub est équipé de quatre
ports USB en voie descendante qui offrent une connectivité
descendante et Plug-and-Play avec tous les périphériques USB,
y compris des périphériques USB1.1 (à faible et à plein débit)
ainsi que des périphériques USB 2.0 (ou haut débit). Il peut s’agir
de scanneurs, d’imprimantes, de périphériques de stockage
de masse et d’appareils photo à haute résolution. Le hub est
auto-alimenté, ce qui permet le branchement de périphériques
en cascade avec d’autres hubs. Cela signifie qu’il est possible
de relier jusqu’à 127 périphériques USB à un seul port. Le hub
convient à toute ouverture passe-fils mesurant de 5 à 7,6 cm de
diamètre. Il est conçu pour s’intégrer discrètement à votre espace
de travail.

Remarque : Si votre bureau ne possède pas de trou passe-fils,
vous pouvez en faire un vous-même à l’aide d’une scie cylindrique

REMARQUE IMPORTANTE : Ne branchez pas de périphérique
USB sur le hub avant qu’il ne vous soit indiqué de le faire à
l’étape 6 de cette procédure d’installation.

1. Insérez le hub dans le passe-fils du bureau.

2. Sous le bureau, attrapez le hub à travers l’anneau de montage et

tout en tenant le hub en place, faites tourner l’anneau dans le sens
horaire pour resserrer la prise sur le bureau.

3. Lorsque le hub est bien en place, branchez l’adaptateur secteur
inclus dans une prise murale ou un parafoudre, et branchez l’autre
extrémité à l’arrière du hub.

4. Branchez le connecteur plat du câble de périphérique USB dans le
port USB en aval de votre ordinateur ou un autre hub, et branchez
l’extrémité carrée dans la base du hub.

5. Si votre ordinateur est allumé, votre système d’exploitation devrait
détecter automatiquement le hub et charger les pilotes appropriés.

6. Vous pouvez maintenant brancher vos périphériques USB au hub.

Remarque : il est possible d’utiliser le hub sans l’adaptateur secteur

si vous branchez des périphériques à faible consommation électrique
comme les claviers ou les souris.

Remarque importante : le hub doit être connecté à un hôte
compatible USB 2.0 pour fonctionner en mode à haut débit
(480 Mbps). S’il est relié à un hôte compatible USB 1.1, il
fonctionnera en mode à faible ou plein débit (1,5/12 Mbps). Dans les
cas où le hub est connecté à un contrôleur hôte USB 1.1, la bande
passante USB 1.1 maximale de 12 Mbps doit être partagée entre les
quatre ports.

Wir freuen uns, dass Sie sich für den Office-Hub entschieden
haben (im folgenden als „Hub” bezeichnet). Der Hub verfügt
über vier abwärtskompatible Downstream-USB-Ports (zum
angeschlossenen Gerät gerichtet), an die alle USB-Geräte
mit einfachem Plug&Play angeschlossen werden können,
einschließlich USB 1.1- (oder Low- und Full-Speed-) und USB

2.0- (oder Hi-Speed-) Geräte. Dazu gehören zum Beispiel
Scanner, Drucker, Massenspeichergeräte und hochauflösende
Kameras. Der Hub ist selbstgespeist, so dass Geräte mit
zusätzlichen Hubs kaskadiert werden können. Auf diese Weise
kann ein und dieselbe Schnittstelle mit bis zu 127 verschiedenen
USB-Geräten genutzt werden. Der Hub passt in Öffnungen mit
einem Durchmesser von 5 bis 7,6 cm. Er ist speziell für eine
unauffällige Befestigung im Schreibtisch konstruiert.

Hinweis: Wenn Ihr Schreibtisch nicht über eine vorgebohrte
Öffnung verfügt, können Sie mit einer Lochsäge ein Loch
bohren. (Das benötigte Werkzeug ist bei Belkin nicht erhältlich).

WICHTIGER HINWEIS: Schließen Sie bitte kein USB-Gerät
an den Hub an, bevor Sie in Schritt 6 dieser Anleitung dazu
aufgefordert werden.

1. Setzen Sie den Hub in die Öffnung im Schreibtisch ein.

2. Halten Sie den Hub an der Unterseite des Schreibtischs fest und

schrauben Sie den Halterungsring im Uhrzeigersinn an den Hub
an, bis dieser fest am Tisch befestigt ist. Achten Sie darauf, dass
der Hub währenddessen in der richtigen Position bleibt.

3. Schließen Sie nach der Befestigung des Hubs das enthaltene

Netzteil mit einem Ende an eine Wandsteckdose oder einen
Überspannungsschutz und mit dem anderen Ende an die
Rückseite des Hubs an.

4. Schließen Sie den flachen Stecker des USB-Gerätekabels an

einen Geräte-Anschluss (Downstream) des Computers oder eines
anderen Hubs an und schließen Sie den quadratischen Stecker an
den Hub an.

5. Wenn Ihr Computer eingeschaltet ist, erkennt Ihr Betriebssystem

den Hub automatisch und lädt die entsprechenden Treiber.

6. Sie können nun Ihre USB-Geräte an den Hub anschließen.
Hinweis: Wenn nur Geräte mit niedriger Leistungsaufnahme wie

Tastaturen oder Mäuse angeschlossen werden, kann der Hub ohne
Netzteil betrieben werden.

Wichtiger Hinweis: Der Hub muss an einen USB 2.0-fähigen Host
angeschlossen werden, damit er mit Hi-Speed-Datenrate (480-Mbit/s)
betrieben werden kann.
Wird der Hub an einen Host mit USB 1.1 angeschlossen, kann
er nur mit niedriger oder voller Geschwindigkeit (1,5/12 Mbit/s)
betrieben werden. Wenn der Hub mit einem USB 1.1-Host-Controller
verbunden ist, wird die maximale USB 1.1-Bandbreite von 12 Mbit/s
auf alle vier Ports verteilt.

Wij danken u hartelijk voor het kopen van de flexibele in-desk
USB-hub (de hub) van Belkin. De hub is uitgerust met vier
USB-downstreampoorten die “Plug-and-Play”-connectiviteit
bieden en compatibel zijn met alle USB-apparaten, waaronder
zowel USB 1.1 (low- en full-speed) als USB 2.0 (high-speed)
apparaten. Hiertoe behoren ook randapparaten als scanners,
printers, massaopslagapparaten en hoge-resolutiecamera’s. De
hub is zelfvoedend. Dit betekent dat u op één poort met behulp
van extra hubs een keten van maar liefst 127 USB-apparaten
kunt aansluiten. De hub past in een gat met een diameter van
5 tot 7,6 cm. Hij is speciaal ontwikkeld voor plaatsing in die
speciale opening in uw bureau waardoor u uw kabels kunt laten
lopen, zodat hij u niet in de weg ligt.

Opmerking: Indien er geen dergelijk gat in uw bureau zit, kunt u
dat er natuurlijk in boren met een speciale zaag (wordt niet door
Belkin geleverd).

BELANGRIJKE OPMERKING: Sluit geen USB-apparaten aan op
de hub voordat u daartoe in stap 6 van deze installatieprocedure
opdracht krijgt.

1. Plaats de hub in het gat in uw bureau.

2. Schroef van onder uw bureau de montagering op de hub vast

door de ring met de klok mee te draaien terwijl u de hub op z’n
plaats houdt.

3. Zodra de hub stevig vast zit, sluit u de meegeleverde

voedingsadapter aan op een wandstopcontact of een
spanningsbeveiliger en sluit u het andere uiteinde aan op de
achterkant van de hub.

4. Sluit de dikke connector van de USB-kabel van uw apparaat aan

op de downstreampoort van uw computer of een andere hub en
sluit de vierkante connector aan op de hub.

5. Als uw computer aan staat, zal uw besturingssysteem de hub

automatisch herkennen en de bijbehorende stuurprogramma’s
laden.

6. U kunt nu uw USB-apparaten aansluiten op de hub.
Opmerking: U kunt de hub zonder externe voeding gebruiken bij

aansluiting van energiezuinige apparaten als toetsenborden en
muizen.

Belangrijke opmerking: De hub moet zijn aangesloten op een
voor USB 2.0 geschikte hostcomputer om in high-speed modus
(datasnelheid 480 Mbps) te kunnen werken. Als de hub wordt
aangesloten op een USB 1.1 host, dan werkt deze uitsluitend in low­speed of full-speed modus (1,5 Mbps resp. 12 Mbps). Als de hub
wordt aangesloten op een USB 1.1-hostcontroller wordt de maximale
USB 1.1-bandbreedte van 12 Mbps over de vier poorten verdeeld.

Wij, Belkin International, Inc., gevestigd 501 West Walnut Street, Compton CA

90220, Verenigde Staten van Amerika, verklaren hierbij dat wij de volledige

verantwoordelijkheid aanvaarden dat het product met het artikelnummer

F5U413, waarop deze verklaring betrekking heeft

voldoet aan deel 15 van de FCC-regelgeving. Het gebruik ervan is onderworpen

Wat valt buiten deze garantie?

Alle hierin versterkte garanties zijn niet van toepassing als het Belkin product op
verzoek van Belkin niet op kosten van de koper voor onderzoek aan Belkin ter
beschikking is gesteld of als Belkin constateert dat het Belkin product verkeerd
is geïnstalleerd, op enige wijze is veranderd of vervalst. De productgarantie
van Belkin biedt geen bescherming tegen van buiten komend onheil (anders
dan blikseminslag), zoals overstromingen, aardbevingen en oorlogsmolest,
vandalisme, diefstal, normale slijtage, afslijting, depletie, veroudering, misbruik,
beschadiging door netspanningsdalingen (z.g. “brown-outs” en “sags”),
ongeoorloofde programmering en/of wijziging van de systeemapparatuur.

Hoe wordt service verleend?

Om voor serviceverlening door Belkin in aanmerking te komen, moet u
het volgende doen:

1. Neem binnen 15 dagen na constatering van een garantiegeval

contact op met de Customer Service (Klantenservice) van Belkin

International, Inc., Express Business Park, Shipton Way, Rushden

NN10 6GL, Verenigd Koninkrijk, of bel (800)-223-5546.

U moet de volgende gegevens kunnen verstrekken:
a. Het artikelnummer van het Belkin-product.

b. Waar u het product hebt gekocht.
c. Wanneer u het product hebt gekocht.
d. Het originele aankoopbewijs.

2. De medewerker/ster van de klantenservice van Belkin zal u vervolgens

instructies geven hoe u het aankoopbewijs en het product moet
verzenden en uitleggen hoe de claim verder afgewikkeld wordt.

Belkin behoudt zich het recht voor het defecte Belkin product te onderzoeken.
De kosten voor verzending van het Belkin product naar Belkin komen volledig
voor rekening van de koper. Als Belkin naar eigen bevinding tot de conclusie
komt dat het onpraktisch is de beschadigde apparatuur naar Belkin te
verzenden, kan Belkin naar eigen goeddunken een deskundige reparatie­inrichting aanwijzen en deze opdragen de betreffende apparatuur te inspecteren
en de reparatiekosten ervan te begroten. De eventuele verzendkosten van het
product naar de reparatie-inrichting en van de terugzending naar de koper
en van de kostenbegroting komen geheel voor rekening van de koper. Het
beschadigde product moet voor onderzoek beschikbaar blijven totdat de claim
is afgehandeld. Belkin behoudt zich bij de vereffening van claims het recht voor
tot in-de-plaatstreding bij alle geldige verzekeringspolissen waarover de koper
van het product beschikt.

Enhorabuena y gracias por adquirir el hub USB para escritorio
de ajuste flexible (el hub). El hub proporciona cuatro puertos
USB descendentes, compatibles con versiones anteriores de
USB, y equipados con capacidad de conectividad plug-and­play con todos los dispositivos USB, incluidos los dispositivos
USB 1.1 (velocidad baja y completa) y USB 2.0 (alta velocidad).
Esto incluye periféricos como, por ejemplo, escáneres,
impresoras, unidades de almacenamiento masivo y cámaras
de alta resolución. Este hub autoalimentado permite conectar
dispositivos en cascada, posibilitando la conexión de hasta
127 dispositivos USB a un único puerto. El hub se ajusta en

NOTA IMPORTANTE: No conecte al hub ningún dispositivo USB
hasta que se le requiera hacerlo en el sexto paso de este
proceso de instalación.

1. Inserte el hub en el agujero del escritorio.

2. Por debajo del escritorio, capture el hub a través del aro de

montaje mientras mantiene al hub en sus sitio, gire al aro en
dirección a las agujas del reloj para ajustar firmemente el agarre al
escritorio.

3. Un vez que el hub está seguro, enchufe el adaptador de
alimentación incluido en el enchufe de pared o en el protector
contra aumentos de tensión y el otro extremo en la parte posterior
del hub.

4. Enchufe el extremo plano del cable del dispositivo USB en el
puerto de bajada del ordenador o de otro hub y conecte el
extremo cuadrado a la base del hub.

5. Si el ordenador está encendido, su sistema operativo detectará el
hub de forma automática y cargará los drivers correspondientes.

6. Ahora puede enchufar los dispositivos USB al hub.

Atención: El bub puede utilizarse sin una fuente de alimentación

si se conecta a dispositivos de bajo consumo, como por ejemplo
teclados y ratones.

Nota importante: El hub debe estar conectado a un host compatible
con USB 2.0 para poder funcionar en modo de alta velocidad
(velocidad de transferencia de 480Mbps). Si el hub está conectado a
un host compatible con USB 1.1, funcionará solamente en los modos
de velocidad baja y completa (1,5 Mbps / 12 Mbps). Cuando el hub
se conecta a un controlador de host USB 1.1, el ancho de banda
máximo de 12Mbps se comparte entre los cuatro puertos.

Grazie per aver acquistato l’hub USB In-Desk ad adattamento
versatile (in seguito denominato l’hub). L’hub dispone di
quattro porte USB per dati in entrata con tecnologia plug and
play e retrocompatibilità con tutti i dispositivi USB, compresi
i dispositivi USB 1.1 (velocità bassa e piena), e i dispositivi
USB 2.0 (alta velocità). Si adatta a dispositivi come scanner,
stampanti, periferiche di memoria di massa e fotocamere ad alta
risoluzione. L’hub è autoalimentato, il che consente di collegare
altri hub supplementari a cascata, fino ad arrivare ad avere 127
dispositivi USB collegabili a una sola porta. L’hub si adatta
perfettamente a qualsiasi presa che misuri dai 5 ai 7,5 cm di
diametro. Realizzato per ridurre l’ingombro sulla scrivania.

Nota bene: Se la scrivania non è provvista di un foro, è
possibile crearlo utilizzando una sega circolare a tazza (da
acquistare separatamente, non è fornito da Belkin).

AVVISO IMPORTANTE: non collegare nessun dispositivo USB
all’hub fino a quando non viene richiesto nella fase 6 di questa
procedura di installazione.

1. Inserire l’hub nel foro della scrivania.

2. Da sotto la scrivania, prendere l’hub dall’anello di montaggio

mantenendolo in posizione, girare l’anello in senso orario per
fissare saldamente l’hub alla scrivania.

3. Una volta installato saldamente l’hub, collegare una estremità

dell’adattatore di corrente (compreso nella confezione) nella
presa a muro o nella presa filtrata e l’altra estremità nella parte
posteriore dell’hub.

Inserire l’estremità piatta del cavo USB fornito nella porta dati

in uscita del computer o di un altro dispositivo hub e collegare
l’estremità quadrata alla base dell’hub.

5. Se il computer è acceso, il sistema operativo rileverà

automaticamente l’hub e caricherà i driver corrispondenti.

6. Ora è possibile collegare i dispositivi USB all’hub.

Nota bene: L’hub può essere utilizzato senza alimentatore se usato

con periferiche a bassa potenza come tastiere e mouse.
Avviso importante: per funzionare ad alta velocità (velocità di

trasferimento dati 480 Mbps), l’hub deve essere collegato con un
host conforme alla tecnologia USB 2.0. Se l’hub viene collegato a
un host conforme alle specifiche 1.1, funzionerà soltanto in modalità
a velocità bassa o piena(1,5 Mbps o 12 Mbps). Nei casi in cui l’hub
venga collegato ad un controllore host USB 1.1, la larghezza di
banda massima USB 1.1 pari a 12 Mbps viene condivisa da tutte
quattro le porte.

garanzia sul prodotto Belkin non copre danni da imputarsi a calamità
naturali (tranne i fulmini), tra cui allagamenti o terremoti, guerre, atti di
vandalismo, furti, usura, erosione, assottigliamento, obsolescenza, abusi,
danni dovuti ad interferenze di bassa tensione (tra cui parziali oscuramenti

2. Il rappresentante del Servizio Clienti Belkin vi spiegherà come inviare
la ricevuta e il prodotto Belkin e come procedere con il reclamo.

Belkin si riserva il diritto di riesaminare il prodotto Belkin danneggiato.
Tutte le spese di spedizione per il prodotto Belkin restituito alla Belkin
sono a carico dell’acquirente. Se Belkin dovesse ritenere, a propria

determinare il costo della riparazione presso una struttura diversa
