Introduction
Congratulations and thank you for purchasing the Laptop Power Adapter for
home /office from Belkin. This new Adapter provides a single source of power for
users with more than one electronic device. It is also great for users that work in
more than one location and don’t want to carry their adapter(s) from place
to place.
Through the use of patente d power-tip technology, this Adapter will not only
charge the most popular laptops (11 tips are included ), it will also charge the
latest digital devices, including cell phones, digital cameras, camcorder s,
portable DVD playe rs, MP3 players, and more.

Following these simple guidelines will ensure trouble-free operation and
optimal per formance of the L aptop Power Adapter and compatible
electronic devices.
1. Avoid pulling on the cords and cables. Always grip plugs firmly when
unplugging from power source and when disconnecting cables. Never force
a power tip into an electronic device.
2. Before use, completely review power-tip compatibility information found in
the instructions, or at www.belkin.com/powersupply.
WARNIN G: Using the wro ng power tip may damage your elect ronic
devic e or cause it to mal function.
3. To avoid electrical hazard, be sure to unplug the Adapter from its external
power source before attaching the power tip.
4. For indoor use only. Avoid exposure to external heat sources; direct,
prolonged sunlight; dust; corrosive chemicals; and moisture.
5. It is normal for power adapters to become warm during use. Avoid
touching the device during use. Avoid placing in direct sunlight or near
heat-sensitive materials.
6. Do not drop or subject the Laptop Power Adapter to undue shock.
7. Do not place anything on top of the Laptop Power Adapter.
8. Always use the supplied cables and connectors as shown. Use of cables,
connectors, or accessories not supplie d with this product constitute s
misuse and may result in injur y or damage.
9. Do not at tempt to ser vice or disassemble. The unit is not user-ser viceable.
Attempting to disassemble or service the unit can result in electrical hazard,
including death from exposure to high voltage. If you experience problems
with the unit, discontinue use and contact Belkin for assistance. Attempting
to open or service the unit voids all warranties, express or implied.
Using the Laptop Power Adapter
AC Wall Outlets : The Laptop Power Adapter for home/office can be operated
from any standard wall outlet using the attached AC powe r cord. After attaching
the appropriate power tip (see the “Tip Selection” section ) to the output cable
of the power supply, insert or at tach the tip to your device to begin charging.
Power will imme diately be delivered to your device whether it is powered on or
not. Generally, if your unit is not powered on, the battery will begin to charge. It
is normal for power supplies to be warm during use. Avoid placing it near heat
sources, direct sunlight, or heat-sensitive materials.
Air/Auto /Boat /RV : If a DC input is required, we recommend the Belkin L aptop
Power Adapter for travel, which supports both AC and DC input.

Getting Connected
Belkin has made life easy for you by providing your new Laptop Power Supply

To get going, follow these easy steps :
Unplug power supply

Connect tip to output cable
Plug tip into laptop
Plug in power supply
If you wish to connect to a device using the built-in USB connector, the steps
are similar:

Tip Selection
Each laptop has a specific tip that can be used for power. These tips have
different dimensions a nd deliver different levels of current and voltage. It is
impor tant that you choose the correct tip for your laptop.
Belkin has provided eleven (11) of the most popular laptop tips with this device

Troubleshooting
If your device is not charging or operating properly, take the following steps:
1. Disconnect the Laptop Power Adapter from its power source.
2. Verify that the correct power tip has been installed by checking the Power-
Tip Compatibility List. NEVER force a power tip into an electronic device.
3. Reconne ct the Laptop Power Adapter. Check that all connections
are secure.
4. Plug the correct power tip into your elec tronic device. The device should
begin charging regardless of whether it is powered on or not.
5. Note that if the green power-indicator LED does not light, it may have simply
burned out.
6. If you are still experiencing problems, please contact Belkin.

What this warrant y covers.
Belkin International, Inc. (“Belkin”) warrants to the original purchaser of this
Belkin product that the product shall be free of defects in design, assembly,
material, or workmanship.

Belkin warrants the Belkin product for the lifetime of the product.
What will we do to correc t proble ms?
Belkin will repair or replace, at its option, any defective product free of charge
(except for shipping charges for the product) .
What is not covered by this warranty?
All above warranties are null and void if the Belkin product is not provided to
Belkin for inspection upon Belkin’s request at the sole expense of the purchaser,
or if Belkin determines that the Belkin product has been imprope rly installed,
altered in any way, or tampered with. The Belkin Product Warranty does not
protect against acts of God such as flood, earthquake, lightning, war, vandalism,
theft, normal-use wear and tear, erosion, depletion, obsolescence, abuse,
damage due to low voltage disturbances (i.e. brownouts or sags),
non-authorized program, or system equipment modification or alteration.

How to get service.
To get ser vice for your Belkin product you must take the following steps :
1. Contact Belkin International, Inc., at 501 W. Walnut St., Compton CA
90220, Attn: Customer Service, or call (80 0) -223-5546, within 15 days of the
Occurrence. Be prepared to provide the following information:
a. The part number of the Belkin product.
b. Where you purchased the product.
c. When you purchased the product.
d. Copy of original receipt.
2. Your Belkin Customer Service Representative will then instruct you on how to
forward your receipt and Belkin product and how to proceed with your claim.
Belkin reserves the right to review the damaged Belkin product. All costs of
shipping the Belkin product to Belkin for inspection shall be borne solely by the
purchaser. If Belkin determines, in its sole discretion, that it is impractical to ship
the damaged equipment to Belkin, Belkin may designate, in its sole discretion,
an equipment repair facility to inspect and estimate the cost to repair such
equipment. The cost, if any, of shipping the equipme nt to and from such repair
facility and of such estimate shall be borne solely by the purchaser. Damaged
equipment must remain available for inspection until the claim is finalized.
Whenever claims are settled, Belkin reserves the right to be subrogated unde r
any existing insurance policie s the purchaser may have.

THIS WARRANTY CONTAINS THE SOLE WARRA NTY OF BELKIN. THERE ARE
NO OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR, EXCEPT AS REQUIRED BY L AW,
IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTY OR CONDITION OF QUALIT Y,
MERCHANTABILIT Y OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICUL AR PURPOSE, AND SUCH
IMPLIED WARRANTIES, IF ANY, ARE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE TERM OF
THIS WARRANTY.
Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so
