2. Ri nse well to rem ove all trace s of d etergen t.
3. Under clean con ditions , fill Eye Wash Bottle com pletely.
(We recom mend Scienceware
note that onc e th e refill bott le has been opened, the ster ility of the solu tion cann ot be
assured).
4. Re place top, cl ose cap and ret ur n to e mergenc y st ation.
5. If a n eye wash bottle i s us ed, empty it completely an d proceed through st eps 1-4
before replaci ng i n station.
6. After using an ey e wa sh bottle , th e injured i ndividu al s hould see a physi cian at once
for examina tion and treatment.
To ens ure cleanliness, i t is advisable to est ablish a re gular eye was h bo ttle cleaning and
eye wash solution repl acement procedure. See the re filling guidelines b elow.

Rinse solut ion and fre quency of change:
• Water only – chang e once a week.
• Water and Preser va tive (var ies by manufa cturer) - cha nge every two month s.
• Pre-m ixed Eye Wa sh Soluti on - c hange every 4 to 6 months.
• Unopened, Ster ile Eye Was h Solution (F 24879-0 032) - until ex piratio n da te on bottle.
Bel-Art Products Sterile Eye Wash solu tion (F2487 9-0032) h as a shelf life of up to 3 years - re fer to expira tion date on
bottle. How ever, once the bottle h as b een opened, t he p roduc t is n o longer ster ile. The Sterile Eye Wash Solutio n is
meant for use wit h Sciencewa re
If u sing the Ster ile Eye Wash Solutio n (F24879 -0032) to refill Scien ceware
and F24851- 0000), the so lution can no lon ger be consid ered ster ile once tran sferred into those bot tles. Rep lace transferred so lution every 4 to 6 months.
