This section contains safety instructions that will help protect fromriskofpersonalinjuryorpropertydamage.

Failure to follow these instructions shallvoidanywarranty.

1.1Generalsafety

•• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience andknowledgeiftheyhavebeen given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance inasafewayandunderstandthe hazards involved. Children shall notplaywiththeappliance.Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

•• Installationandrepairprocedures must always be performed by Authorized Service Agents. The manufacturer shall not be held responsible for damages arising from procedures carried out by unauthorized persons which may also void the warranty. Before installation, read the instructions carefully.

•• Donotoperatetheproductifitis defective or has any visible damage.

•• Ensure that the product function knobsareswitchedoffafterevery use.

•• If the hob glass plate is broken: Immediately switch off all the burners and electrical heating elements,anddisconnecttheproductfromthepowersupply.Donot touchthesurfaceoftheappliance. Donotusetheappliance.

•• If the product is handed over to someoneelseforpersonaluseor second-hand use purposes, the user manual, product labels and other relevant documents and partsshouldbealsogiven.

1.2Safetywhenworkingwithgas

•• Anyworksongasequipmentand systems may only be carried out by authorised qualified persons whoareGasSaferegistered.

•• If you need to use your product with a different type of gas, you must consult the authorised service for the related conversion procedure.

•• Prior to the installation, ensure that the local distribution conditions (nature of the gas and gas pressure) and the adjustment of theappliancearecompatible.

•• Thisapplianceisnotconnectedto a combustion products or evacuation device. It shall be installed andconnectedinaccordancewith current installation regulations. Particularattentionshallbegiven to the relevant requirements regardingventilation.

•• The use of gas cooking appliance results in the production of heat andmoistureintheroominwhich it is installed. Ensure that the kitchen is well ventilated: keep natural ventilation holes open or installamechanicalventilationdevice (mechanical extractor hood). Prolonged intensive use of the appliance may call for additional ventilation,forexampleincreasing thelevelofthemechanicalventilationwherepresent.

•• Using the product intensively for prolonged periods (1 hour and more)mayrequireadditionalventilation (e.g. increasing the speed of the aspirator, if present, or openingthewindows).

•• Gasappliancesandsystemsmust be regularly checked for proper functioning. Regulator, hose and its clamp must be checked regularly and replaced within the periodsrecommendedbyitsmanufacturerorwhennecessary.

•• Clean the gas burners regularly. The flames should be blue and burnevenly.

•• Good combustion is required in gas appliances. In case of incomplete combustion, carbon monoxide (CO) might develop. Carbon monoxide is a colourless, odourlessandverytoxicgas,whichhas a lethal effect even in very small doses.

•• Request information about gas emergency telephone numbers andsafetymeasuresincaseofgas smellfromyoulocalgasprovider.

•• Do not use open flame or do not smoke.Donotoperateanyelectricalbuttons(e.g.lampbutton,door bell and etc.) Do not use fixed or mobile phones. Risk of explosion andtoxication!

•• Turn off all valves on gas appliances and gas meter at the main control valve, unless it’s in a confinedspaceorcellar.

•• Call the fire-brigade. Use a telephoneoutsidethehouse.

•• Donotre-enterthepropertyuntil youaretolditissafetodoso.

1.3Electricalsafety

•• If the product has a failure, it shouldnotbeoperatedunlessitis repairedbyanAuthorisedService Agent.Thereistheriskofelectric shock!

•• Only connect the product to a grounded outlet/line with the voltage and protection as specified in the “Technical specifications”. Have the grounding installation made by a qualified electrician while using the productwithorwithoutatransformer. The Manufacturer shall not be liable for any problems arising due to the product not being earthed inaccordancewiththelocalregulations.

•• Neverwashtheproductbyspreadingorpouringwaterontoit!There istheriskofelectricshock!

•• Never touch the plug with wet hands!Neverunplugbypullingon thecable,alwayspulloutbyholdingtheplug.

•• Theproductmustbedisconnected during installation, maintenance, cleaningandrepairingprocedures.

•• If the power connection cable for theproductisdamaged,itmustbe replaced by the manufacturer, its serviceagentorsimilarlyqualified personsinordertoavoidahazard.

•• The appliance must be installed so that it can be completely disconnectedfromthemainssupply. The separation must be provided by a switch built into the fixed electricalinstallation,accordingto constructionregulations.

•• Anyworkonelectricalequipment and systems should only be carried out by authorised and qualifiedpersons.

•• Incaseofanydamage,switchoff theproductanddisconnectitfrom themains.Todothis,turnoffthe fuseathome.

3 Installation

Product must be installed by a qualified person in accordance with the regulations in force. The manu-facturer shall not be held responsible for damages arising from procedures carried out by unauthorized persons which may also void the warranty.

A WARNING: The product must be installed in accordance with all local gasand/orelectricalregulations.

WARNING: Prior to installation, A visuallycheckiftheproducthasany defects on it. If so, do not have it installed. Damaged products cause

risksforyoursafety.

3.1Beforeinstallation

The hob is designed for installation into commercially available work tops. A safety distance must be left GLASS between the appliance and the kitchen walls and furniture. See figure (values in mm).

•• It can also be used in a free standing position. Allowaminimumdistanceof750mmabovethe hobsurface.

•• (*)Ifacookerhoodistobeinstalledabovethe cooker, refer to cooker hood manufacturer’ instructions regarding installation height (min 650mm)

•• Remove packaging materials and transport locks.

•• Surfaces, synthetic laminates and adhesives usedmustbeheatresistant(100°Cminimum).

•• Theworktopmustbealignedandfixedhorizontally.

•• Cut aperture for the hob in worktop as per installationdimensions.

3.2Roomventilation

All rooms require an openable window, or equvalent, and some rooms will require a permanentventaswell.

The air for combustion is taken from the room air and the exhaust gases are emitted directly intotheroom.

Good room ventilation is essential for safe operationofyourappliance.

3.2.1Roomswithdoorsand/or windowswhichopendirectlytothe outerenvironment

The doors and/or windows that open directly to the outer environment must have a total ventilation opening of the dimensions specified in the table below which is based on the totalgaspoweroftheappliance(totalgaspowerconsumptionoftheapplianceisshowninthe technicalspecificationtableofthisusermanual). If the doors and/or windows do not have a total ventilation opening corresponding to the totalgasconsumptionoftheapplianceasspecified in the table below, then there must definitelybeanadditionalfixedventilationopening in the room to ensure that the total minimum ventilation requirements for the total gas consumption of the appliance is achieved. The fixed ventilation opening can include openings for existing airbricks, extraction hood ducting openingdimensionetc.

3.2.2Roomsthatdonothaveopenable doors and/or windows that open directlytotheouterenvironment

If the room where the appliance is installed does not have a door and/or a window that opens directly to the outer environment, other products shallbesoughtthatdefinitelyprovideafixednonadjustable and non-closable ventilation opening whichmeetsthetotalminimumventilationopeningrequirementsforthetotalgasconsumptionof theapplianceasindicated in theabovetable.Also theappropriatebuildingregulationsadviseshould be followed. Where a room or internal space contains more than one gas appliance, additional ventilation area shall be provided on top of the requirementgiveninthetableabove.Sizeofadditionalventilationareashallbeappropriatetoregulationsofothergasappliances.Thereshouldalso be a minimum clearance of 10mm on the bottom edgeofthedoorthatopenstotheinnerenvironmentintheroomwheretheapplianceisinstalled. You must ensure that items such as carpets and other floorcoverings etc., do not affect the clearancewhenthedoorisclosed.

The cooker may be located in a kitchen, kitchen/ dinerorabed-sittingroom,butnotinaroomcon- tainingabathorashower.Thecookermustnotbe installedinabed-sitingroomoflessthan20m3. Do not install this appliance in a room below groundlevelunlessitisopentogroundlevelonat leastoneside.

3.2.3Installationandconnection

The product must be installed in accordance with alllocalgasandelectricalregulations.

3.3Electricalconnection

Connect the product to a grounded outlet/line protec-ted by a fuse of suitable capacity as statedinthe“Technicalspecifications”table.Havethe grounding installation made by a qualified electrician while using the product with or without a transformer.

TheManufacturershallnotbeliableforanydamagesthatwillariseduetousingtheproductwithoutagroundinginstallationinaccordancewiththe localregulations.

3.4.1Connectingthegashose ForNG

•• Naturalgasinstallationmustbepreparedbefore installingtheproduct.

•• Theremustbeapipe(Pipingadvisedtobebuyed fromalicensedinstaller),mustcomplywithlocal gas standard, at the outlet of the ins-tallation for the natural gas connection of your product and the tip of this pipe must be closed with a blind plug. ServiceRepresentativewill re-move the blind plug during connection and con-nect yourproductbymeansofastraightconnec-tion device(coupling).

•• Make sure that the natural gas valve is readily accessible.

•• If you need to use your product later with a different type of gas, you must consult the Aut-horised Service Agent for the related conversionprocedure.

3.4.2Connectingthegashose ForLPG

•• Haveyourproductconnectedinawaythatitwill beclosetothegasconnectionandnotgasleakagewillexist.

•• Plastichosetobeusedmustnotbelongerthan 125cm.

•• Install the clamp to the hose. Soak one end of the hose (15 mm inner diameter) into boiling waterforoneminutetosoftenit.

•• Than, slip the softened end of the hose com- ple-telyontothesharphosetipofyourproduct. Fi-nally, tighten the clamp completely with a screwdriver.

3.6Installingtheproduct

1.Remove burners, burner caps and grills on the hobfromtheproduct.

2.Turning the hob upside down, place it on a flat surface.

3.In order to avoid the foreign substances and liquids penetrate between the hob and the counter, please apply the putty supplied in the package on the contours of the lower housing of the hob but make sure that the putty does notoverlap.

4.Fillthecornersbyformingbendsatthecorners as illustrated in the figure. Form as much bend asrequiredtofillthegapinthecorners.

When installing the hob onto a cabinet, a shelf must be installed in C order to separate the cabinet from the hob as illustrated in the above figure. This is not required when in-

stallingontoabuiltunderoven.

For example, if it is possible to touch the bottom of the product since it is installed onto a drawer, thissectionmustbecoveredwithawoodenplate.

You must leave a ventilation opening on the remaining part in order to provide ventilation at the lower part of the hob. In addition to being necessary for component temperatures, this process is also compulsory for the TC burner to take in air fromthebottom.Itcanbe“100cm² atleast”.

3.6.1Rearview(connection holes)

Place the burner plates, burner plate caps and grillsbacktotheirseatingafterinstallation.

3.7Gasconversion

WARNING: Before starting any A work on the gas installa-tion, dis-

connectthegassupply.

Thereistheriskofexplosion!

In order to change your appliance’s gas type, change all injectors and make flame adjustment forallvalvesatreducedflowrateposition.

Exchangeofinjectorfortheburners

1. Takeoffburnercapandburnerbody.

2. Unscrew injectors by turning the counterclockwise.

3. Fitnewinjectors.

4.Check all connections for secure fitting and tightness.

New injectors have their position C marked on their packing or injector table on Injector table, page 12 can

bereferredto.

(Varies depending on the product model.)

C On some hob burners, the injector is covered with a metal piece. This metalcovermustberemovedforinjectorreplacement.

3.7.1Reducedgasflowrate settingforhobtaps

1.Ignitetheburnerthatistobeadjustedandturn theknobtothereducedposition.

2.Removetheknobfromthegastap.

3.Useanappropriatelysizedscrewdrivertoadjust theflowrateadjustmentscrew.

ForLPG(Butane-Propane)turnthescrewclock- wise. For the natural gas, you should turn the screwcoun-ter-clockwiseonce.

»Thenormallengthofastraightflameinthere- ducedpositionshouldbe6-7mm.

4.Iftheflameishigherthanthedesiredposition, turnthescrewclockwise.Ifitissmallerturnanticlockwise.

4.1Tipsforsavingenergy

Thefollowinginformationwillhelpyoutouseyour applianceinanecologicalway,andtosaveenergy:

5.1Generalinformationabout cooking

Warning: Never fill the pan with oil more than one third of it. Do not leave the hob unattended when heating oil. Overheated oils bring risk of fire. Never attempt to extinguish a possible fire with water! When oil catches fire, cover it with afireblanketordampcloth.Turnoff the hob if it is safe to do so and call thefiredepartment.

•• Before frying foods, always dry them well and gently place into the hot oil. Ensure complete thawingoffrozenfoodsbeforefrying.

•• Do not cover the vessel you use when heating oil.

•• Place the pans and saucepans in a manner so that their handles are not over the hob to preventheatingofthehandles.Donotplaceunbalancedandeasilytiltingvesselsonthehob.

•• Do not place empty vessels and saucepans on cookingzonesthatareswitchedon.Theymight getdamaged.

•• Operating a cooking zone without a vessel or saucepan on it will cause damage to the product.Turnoffthecookingzonesafterthecooking iscomplete.

•• Asthesurfaceoftheproductcanbehot,donot putplasticandaluminumvesselsonit.

•• Suchvesselsshouldnotbeusedtokeepfoods either.

•• Useflatbottomedsaucepansorvesselsonly.

Wokburnershelpyoutocookfaster. Wok, which is particularly used in Asian kitchen is a kind of deep and flat fry-pan made of sheet metal, which is used to cook

minced vegetable and meat at strong flame in a shorttime.

Since meals are cooked at strong flame and in a veryshorttimeinsuchfry-pansthatconductthe heatrapidlyandevenly,thenutritionvalueofthe foodispreservedandvegetablesremaincrispy.

You can use wok burner for regular saucepans as well.

Ifyouwanttouseregularsaucepanonwokburn- er,youmusttakeoutthewokfry-pancarrierfrom thehob.

6.Whenfittingthepansupports,payattentionto place the pan support feet so that the burners arecentered.

Wipe the glass ceramic surface using a piece of cloth dampened with cold water in a manner as not to leave any cleaning agent on it. Dry with a softanddrycloth.Residuesmaycausedamageon the glass ceramic surface when using the hob for thenexttime.

Driedresiduesontheglassceramicsurfaceshould under no circumstances be scraped with hook blades,steelwoolorsimilartools.

Remove calcium stains (yellow stains) by a small amountoflimeremoversuchasvinegarorlemon juice.Youcanalsousesuitablecommerciallyavailableproducts.

If the surface is heavily soiled, apply the cleaning agent on a sponge and wait until it is absorbed well. Then, clean the surface of the hob with a dampcloth

Sugar-based foods such as thick cream and syrup must be cleaned C promptly without waiting the surface to cool down. Otherwise, glass ceramic surface may be damaged

permanently.
