1Important instructions for safety and environment

This section includes the safety instructions that will help providing protection against personal injury and material loss risks. Failure to follow these instructions invalidates the granted warranty.

1.1 General safety

•• Never touch any rotating part of the appliance. Do not attach or detach any components of appliance until it stops completely.

•• Never attempt to dismantle the appliance. No warranty claim shall be accepted for damages resulting from erroneous usage.

•• Always use your appliance on a balanced, flat, clean and dry surface.

1.1.1 Electrical safety

•• Check whether voltage specified on the rating plate of the appliance matches the local mains voltage. Only way to disconnect the power of the appliance is to unplug it.

•• This appliance should be connected to a maximum 30 mA domestic residual current protection fuse for additional protection. Please contact an electric technician for recommendations.

•• Do not immerse the appliance, its power cable or its plug in water or in any other liquid.

•• Always unplug the power cord of the appliance after using the appliance, assembling/disassembling its parts or cleaning it, leaving the room where the appliance is located or when a failure happens. Do not unplug the appliance by pulling from its power cord.

•• Do not squeeze or bend the power cord of the appliance or do not rub it against the corners in order not to damage it. Keep away the power cord from hot surfaces and open flame.

•• Do not use an extension with the appliance.

•• Never use the appliance if it or its power cord is faulty.

•• BEKO Small House Appliances comply with the valid safety standards, for this reason, if this appliance is damaged, it or its power cord should be repaired or replaced by its seller, a service agent or authorized service personnel having the similar qualifications.

•• Never operate any component of this appliance on or near a gas range, hot plate or hot surfaces such as a heated oven or do not place them on these surfaces.

•• Make sure that there is not any danger that the power cable of device is pulled by mistake or anyone trips on it during its use.

•• Appliance should always be installed with its power cord in an easily accessible manner.

•• Do not use the citrus juicer in an excessively humid and wet hands. Your hands should be dry when you unplug it from the mains.

1.1.2 Product safety

•• Clean all components of the appliance carefully which contact the food before first use. For details, refer to “Cleaning and Maintenance” section.

•• Do not use the citrus juicer for more than three minutes in an uninterrupted way, you can maintain juicing process after letting it to cool down for a while.

•• Use the appliance only with its accessories supplied with it.

•• Always use your appliance on a balanced, flat, clean and dry surface.

1.2 Intended purpose

•• This appliance is intended for household use only. It should not be used commercial purposes.

1.3 Child safety

•• Always keep the appliance out of the reach of children.

•• This appliance may be used by children who are at the age of 8 or over and the people whose physical, audio or mental skills are impaired or inexperienced or not knowledgeable about the appliance as long as they are supervised or informed and made understood the safe use of the appliance and the encountered dangers. Children should not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance should be performed by the children if they are not attended.

•• Do not leave the appliance unattended when it is in use. It is highly recommended to be very careful when the appliance is being used nearby children and people with limited physical, sensory or mental capacities.

1.4Compliance with the WEEE Directive and disposal of waste products

This product does not contain the harmful and prohibited sub- stances specified in the “Regulation for Supervision of the Waste Electric and Electronic Appliances” issued by the Ministry of Environment and Urban Planning. Complies with WEEE Directive.

This product has been produced from recyclable and reusable high quality components and materials. Therefore, do not dispose of this product with the domestic wastes or other wastes at the end of its service life. Take it to a collection center for recycling of electric and electronic appliances. You can ask for these collection centers from your local administration. Contribute to protection of environment and natural resources by recycling the used products.

1.5 Package details

•• Package of the product is made of recyclable materials as per our National Legislation. Do not dispose of the package wastes with domestic wastes or other wastes; bring it to the package collection centers specified by local authorities.

3 Use

3.1 Initial usage

1.Take out all packaging and label materials and dispose of them in accordance with the local regulations in force.

2.Clean all components of the ap-

pliance carefully which contact the food before first use (Refer to "Cleaning and Maintenance" section).

3.Cut the fruit well before using the appliance.

3.2 Use

1.Remove the lid (8).

2.Attach the small cone (2) to the rotating pin.

C For large size fruit, large cone (1) can be attached over small cone (2).

3.Place an appropriate size glass under the juice outlet (5).

4.Push the juice outlet (5) downwards. In this way, juice fills directly into the glass.

5.Plug in the power cord to the outlet.

6.Push the fruit halves well down to the (1) or (2) cones and start the appliance.

7.Pull the juice outlet (5) upwards slowly in order to avoid dripping of juice. Unplug the appliance.

3.3 Hints and practical information

•• Do not apply excessive force to the fruit juice extracting heads: Increase of the motor sound or any dramatic decrease of the motor speed mean that an extreme force is being applied.

•• After each three minutes of extracting, let the motor of the appliance to cool down to room temperature.

•• Do not touch the juice container during this process. Keep the motor unit under supervision when the extracting fruit juice and hold it to avoid it to move excessively.
