 Before you start using this unit, pleasecheck if there’s no transportation damage. Should there be any, do

not usethe device and consult your dealerfirst.

 Important: This device left our factory in perfect condition and well packaged. It is absolutely necessary

for the user to strictly follow the safety instructionsand warnings in this user manual. Any damage caused
by mishandling is not subject to warranty. The dealer will not accept responsibilityfor any resulting defects
or problems caused by disregarding this user manual.

 Keep this booklet in a safe place for future consultation. If you sell the fixture, be sure to add this user

This symbol determines:the minimum distance from lightedobjects. The minimum distancebetween
light-output and the illuminated surfacemust be more than 1 meters.

 To protect the environment, pleasetry to recycle the packing materialas much as possible.
 A new light effect sometimes causes some unwanted smoke and/or smell. This is normaland disappears

aftersome minutes.

 To preventfire orshock hazard, do not expose this applianceto rain or moisture.
 To avoid condensation to be formed inside, allow the unit to adapt to the surrounding temperatures when

bringing it into a warm room after transport. Condense sometimes prevents the unit from working at full
performance or may even cause damages.

 Thisunit is for indoor use only.
 Don’t place metalobjects or spill liquid inside the unit. Electric shock or malfunction may result. If a foreign

object entersthe unit, immediately disconnect themains power.

 Locate the fixture in a well ventilated spot, away from any flammable materials and/or liquids. The fixture

must be fixed at least50cm fromsurroundingwalls.

 Don’tcover anyventilation openings asthis may result in overheating.
 Prevent use in dusty environmentsand clean the unit regularly.
 Keep the unit away from children.
 Inexperienced personsshould not operate thisdevice.
 Maximum save ambienttemperature is 40°C. Don’t use this unit at higher ambient temperatures.
 The units’ surface temperature may reach up to 85°C. Don’t touch the housing with bare hands during its

operation.

 Make sure the area below the installation place is free from unwanted persons during rigging, de-rigging

andservicing.

 Allow the device about 10 minutes to cool down before replacing thebulbor start servicing.
 Always unplug the unit when it is not used for a longer timeor before replacingthe bulb or start servicing.
 The electricalinstallation should be carried out by qualified personal only, according to the regulations for

electricaland mechanical safetyin your country.

 Check that the available voltageis not higher than the one statedon the rear panel of the unit.
 The power cord should always be in perfect condition. Switch the unit immediately off when the power cord

is squashed or damaged. It must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified
persons in order to avoid a hazard.

 Neverlet the power-cord come into contact with other cables!
 This fixturemust be earthed toin order comply with safety regulations.
 Don’t connect the unit to any dimmerpack.
 Always use an appropriate and certified safetycable when installing the unit.

LASER SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS:

 According to the EN 60825-1:1994 + A1:2002 + A2:2002 regulations, this laser falls under the

classification3B. Direct eyeexposure can be dangerous.

Avoiddirect eye exposure! Laser radiationcan cause eyedamage

and/or skindamage. All protective measures for a safe operation of

 This product is a so-called show laser, emitting radiation with a wavelength spectrum between 400 and

700 nm and producinglightingeffects for shows.

 Due to the construction of this laser, the beam is moved so fast, that it can only hit the eye very short.This

 This laser may only be used for shows. The operation of a class 3B show laser is only allowed if the

permanent eye damage and/or skin damage. The legal instructions for using a laser product vary from
country to country. The user must always inform himself on the legal instructions valid in his country and

6. DMX OUTPUT: 3pin female XLR-connector used to connect the Twinbeam laser with the next unitin the
DMXchain.

7. DISPLAY: shows the selected DMX address when the unit is in DMX-mode. Shows 3 horizontal lines
when theunitis in stand-alone mode.

8. DIP-SWITCHES: switches1~8 are used to set the DMX address between 000 and 255. Switch 9 is not
used and switch 10 isused to selectstand-alone or DMXmode.

9. AUTO/MUSICSWITCH: when the unit is used in stand-alonemode, this switch sets the laser in music
mode (patternsmove to the rhythm of the beat)or auto mode (patterns move automatically)

10. SAFETY EYE: used to attach a safetycable when the unit is rigged (see paragraph “overheadrigging”

11. MUSIC INPUT SENSITIVITY: This potentiometeris used to adjust the music input sensitivity. Turn the

potentiometer until the laser works in sync with the music.

12. COOLING FAN: used to cool the components inside the enclosure. Make sure to never cover this fan
outlet!

13. POWER LED: indicates that the unit isswitched on.

14. SOUND LED: flashes to the sound of the music detected by the internalmicrophone.

15. HANGING BRACKET: with 2 knobs on both sides to fasten the unit and a mounting hole to fix a

mounting hook.

16. LASER OUTPUT: Here the laser beam leaves the enclosure,make sure to NEVER look inside the unit
through this opening while the laser effectis switched on!

1. MAINS INPUT: with IEC socket and integrated fuse holder and power switch, connect the supplied

mains cable here.

2. ON/OFF KEY ACTUATED SWITCH: used to switch the unit on/off.
Use the keys to make sure only a skilled operator is able to switch the
laser on.

3. INTERLOCK input: used to connect the optional emergency stop
switch (see picture). When you push this switch the laser beam will
disappearimmediately.

IMPORTANT! For your own safety we strongly recommend to
connect this optional switch!

4. INTERNAL MICROPHONE: The built-in microphone is used to

synchronize the laser showto the beatof the music.

5. DMX INPUT: 3pin male XLR-connector used to connect universal DMX-cables. This input receives
instructionsfrom a DMX-controller.

OVERHEAD RIGGING

Important: The installation must be carried out by qualified service personal only. Improper



installation can result in serious injuries and/or damage to property. Overhead rigging requires
extensive experience! Working load limits should be respected, certified installation materials
shouldbe used, theinstalled device should be inspected regularly for safety.

 Make sure the area below the installation place is free from unwanted persons during rigging, de-rigging

andservicing.

 Locate the fixture in a well ventilated spot, far away from any flammable materials and/or liquids. The

fixturemust be fixed

 The device should be installed out of reach of people and outside areas where persons may walk by or be

seated.

 Before rigging make sure that the installation area can hold a minimum point load of 10times the device’s

weight.

 Alwaysuse a certified safety cable that can hold 12times the weight of the device when installing the unit.

This secondary safety attachment should be installed in a way that no part of the installation can drop
more than20cm if the main attachmentfails.

 The device shouldbe well fixed; a free-swinging mounting is dangerousand maynot be considered!
 Don’t coverany ventilation openingsas this mayresult in overheating.
 The operatorhas to make sure that the safety-relatingand machine-technical installations are approved by

an expert before using them for the first time. The installations should be inspected every year by a skilled
person to besure that safety is still optimal.

CAUTION EYEDAMAGE: Always position the laser in a way that prevents the
audience from looking directly into the laser beams. The installation should assure that
the beam will not strike the audience.

HOW TO SET UP AND CONTROL THE UNIT

 Regular breaks during operation are essential to maximize the life of this device as it is not designed for

continualuse.

 Do not switch theunit on and off in short time intervalsas this reduces the lamp life.
 Alwaysunplug the unit when it is not used for a longer time.or before replacing the bulb or start servicing.
 Inthe event of seriousoperating problems, stop using the fixtureand contactyour dealer immediately.

Good to know: Every time you turn the unit on, it moves the motors to their ‘home’ position so you may hear
some noises for several seconds. After that the unit will be ready to receive DMX signal or run the built-in
programs.

You canoperate the unit in 3 ways:

1) AUTOMATICSTAND-ALONEMODE:

 Set DIP-switch number 10 in “stand-alone” position. (displayshows “---“)
 Put switch auto/musicswitch in “auto”position.
 Switch the unit on with the key actuated on/off switch.

2) MUSIC CONTROLLED STAND-ALONE MODE:

 Set DIP-switch number 10 in “stand-alone” position.(display shows “---“)
 Put the auto/music switchin “music”position.
 Switch the unit on with the key actuated on/off switch.
 Put on some rhythmicmusic at the desired level.
 Turn the musicsensitivity potentiometer until the laser beam nicely follows the beat of the music.

3) DMX OPERATED MODE:

The DMX-protocol is a widely used high speed signal to control intelligent light equipment. You need to
“daisy chain” your DMX controller and all the connectedlight effects with a good quality XLR M/F balanced
cable (ex. JB Systems ref. 7-0063). To prevent strange behavior of the light effects, due to interferences,
you must use a 90Ω to 120Ω terminator at the end of the chain. Never use Y-splitter cables, this simply
won’t work!
Each effect in the chain needs to have its proper starting address so it knows which commands from the
controllerit has to decode.

This is how you must setup and use the Twinbeam laser:

 Connect the unit to a DMX-controllerusing asuitableDMX-cable.
 Determine which DMX address the laserneeds.
 Set DIP-switch number 10 in “DMX” position.
 You will have to set the DMX starting address with the DIP-switches 1 to 8. Each of these switches has

a corresponding DMX-value written under it. You can combine the values of these switches to obtain
any starting address between 001 and255:

Begin address= 01  switch1=ON values:1
Begin address= 05  switch1+3=ON values: 1+4 = 5

 The displayhelps you to checkif the desired startingaddress is correct.
 Once theaddress is set you can switch the unit on with the key actuatedon/off switch.

MAINTENANCE

 Make sure the area below the installation placeis free from unwantedpersons duringservicing.
 Switch offthe unit, unplug the mains cable and waituntil the unit has been cooleddown.

During inspection the following points shouldbe checked:

 All screws used for installing the device and any of its parts should be tightly fastened and may not be

corroded.

 Housings, fixations and installations spots (ceiling, truss, suspensions) should be totally free from any

deformation.

 When an opticallens is visibly damaged dueto cracks or deep scratches,it must be replaced.
 The mains cables must be in impeccable condition and should be replaced immediately when even a

small problemis detected.

 In order to protect the device from overheat the cooling fans (if any) and ventilation openings should be

cleanedmonthly.

 The interiorof the device should be cleanedannually using a vacuum cleaneror air-jet.
 The cleaning of internal and external optical lenses and/or mirrors must be carried out periodically to

optimizelight output. Cleaning frequency depends on the environment in which the fixtureoperates:damp,
smoky orparticularly dirty surroundings can cause greater accumulation of dirton the unit’s optics.

 Clean with a soft cloth using normalglass cleaning products.
 Always dry the parts carefully.
 Clean the external opticsat least once every 30 days.
 Clean the internal optics at leastevery 90 days.

Attention: We strongly recommend internal cleaningto be carried out by qualified personnel!

 Ce produit est ce qu’on appelle un laser de spectacle, émettant des radiations avec un spectre de

longueurs d’ondes situé entre400 et 700 nm et produitdeseffets lumière pourles spectacles.
 La construction de ce laser fait que le faisceau bouge tellement vite, qu’il ne peut toucher l’œil qu’un très

bref instant. C’est grâce à cela que l’utilisation de ce laser, pour créer un spectacle lumière, peut être

FRANÇAIS MODE D’EMPLOI

DESCRIPTION:

1. ALIMENTATION SECTEUR D’ENTREE: avec une prise IEC avec fusible incorporé et interrupteur
d’allumage,connectez lescâblesd’alimentations fournis à cetteprise.

2. INTERRUPTEUR A CLE ON/OFF: utilisé pour allumer / éteindre l’appareil. Utilisez les clés pour vous
assurer queseulement un opérateur expérimenté pourra allumerle laser.

3. Entrée INTERLOCK: donne la possibilité de relier un commutateur
d'arrêt d'urgence optionnel. En poussant ce commutateur, le
faisceaulaser ce coupe immédiatement.

IMPORTANT! Pour votre sécurité on vous conseil d’utiliser ce
commutateuroptionnel !

4. MICROPHONEINTERNE: Le microphone incorporéest utilisé pour

synchroniser le showlaser selon le rythme de la musique.

5. ENTRÉE DMX: Connecteur XLR mâle à 3 broches utilisé pour
connecter les câbles universels DMX. Cette entrée reçoit les
instructionsdu contrôleurDMX.

6. SORTIE DMX: Connecteur XLR femelle à 3 broches utilisé pour connecter le Laser Twinbeam avec
l’appareilsuivant de la chaîne DMX.

7. AFFICHAGE: Affiche l’adresse DMX sélectionnée quand l’appareil est en mode DMX. Affiche 3 lignes
horizontalesquand l’appareilest en modeautonome.

8. INTERRUPTEURS DIP: Les interrupteurs 1~8 sont utilisés pour programmer les adresses DMX entre
000 et 255. L’interrupteur 9 n’est pas utilisé et l’interrupteur 10 est utilisé pour sélectionner le mode
autonomeou DMX.

9. INTERRUPTEUR AUTO/MUSIQUE: quand l’appareil est en mode autonome, cet interrupteur
programme lelaser au rythme de la musique (les motifs bougent en fonction du rythme du battement de
la musique) ou en mode automatique(les motifs bougentautomatiquement).

10. ŒIL DE SECURITE: utilisé pour attacher un câble de sécurité quand l’appareil est suspendu. (voir
paragraphe“montage en hauteur”).

11. SENSIBILITÉDE L’ENTRÉE DE LAMUSIQUE: Ce potentiomètreest utilisé pour régler la sensibilité de
l’entrée de la musique.Tournez le potentiomètre jusqu’à ce que le laser fonctionne en synchronisation
avec lamusique.

12. VENTILATEUR DE REFROIDISSEMENT: utilisé pour refroidir les composants l’intérieur de l’enceinte
de l’appareil.Assurez-vousde ne jamais couvrir cette évacuationd’air!

l’intérieur de l’appareil parcette ouverturependant que l’effet laser est allumé !

17. ÉTIQUETTE ATTENTION: “Attention – Laser Classe 3B. Radiation Laser si ouvert. Évitez l’exposition
aux rayons laser.”

INSTALLATION EN HAUTEUR

 Important: L’installation doit être faite par du personnel qualifié uniquement. Une installation

incorrecte peut causer des blessures sévères et/ou endommager l’appareil. L’installation en
hauteur exige de l’expérience ! Les limites de charge doivent être respectées, du matériel
d’installation certifié doit être utilisé, et l’appareil installé doit subir des inspections de sécurité
régulièrement.

 Assurez-vous que la zone au-dessous du lieu d’installation ne comporte pas de personnes indésirables

lors del’installation, la désinstallationou la maintenance.

 Placez l’appareil dans un endroit bien ventilé, éloigné de tout matériau ou liquide inflammable. L’appareil

doit être fixé à 50 cm minimum des murs aux alentours.

 L’appareil doit être hors de portée du public et en dehors des zones de passage de personnes ou des

zones oùle publicest installé.

 Avant l’installationassurez-vous que la zone d’installationsupporteun point localisé minimumde 10 fois le

poids del’appareil.

 Utilisez systématiquement un câble de sécurité qui peut supporter 12 fois le poids de l’appareil lors de

l’installation. Ce câble de sécurité secondaire doit être installé de manière à ce qu’aucune partie de
l’appareilne puisse descendre de plusde 20 cm si le support principaltombe.

 L’appareil doitêtre bien fixé,un montageà balancement estdangereux et nedevrait pas être considéré !
 Ne pas couvrir les ouvertures deventilationpour évitertout risque de surchauffe.
 L’utilisateur doit s’assurer que les installations techniques et de sécurité sont bien approuvées par un

expert avant la première utilisation. Les installations doivent être inspectées chaque année par du
personnelqualifié pour assurerune sécurité optimale.
